Original Coupon Deal

Saw this while browsing for a Dell Monitor Arm MSA20 for the AW3821DW.
I am sure there might be other monitor arms out there, but I was only searching for this one.

This deal might be useful to others as well.
Apologies in advance as this is a first post ever and I just wanted to share this find with OzBargain.

Dell AU is currently selling this for $164.49.

Previous OzBargain Deal sold the MSA20 for $154.51 last year.

Solid minimal looking arm with no visible branding. Been using it with the AW3821DW

This company has a terrible reputation for misleading advertising and some of the worst customer service around.

They regularly claim to have stock when they're just dropshipping and have no issue cancelling orders when it doesn't work out for them.

For anyone who doesn't know about megabuy yet, checkout feedback from their customers before you consider placing an order. A couple of links to get you started.

ProductReview feedback (Sudden rush of 5 star reviews from one post wonders makes me more inclined to stay away but make of that what you will)

      81 pages of Whirlpool feedback

If you're after more info on the company, check feedback for the other sites they also run.

      • Just read last 5 pages of Whirlpool thread. Damn, that some shady ****

      • This is coming from eBay though. Would that be slightly better than going through their website?

      • thanks for this info. did not bother to check as I saw a good discount, was buying from eBay and was thinking eBay handle refunds quite quickly. ill know by next week if item would arrive or not as I just received my tracking number today. 😊

        • update: just received my order today, original dell packaging and all. will install this over the weekend. =)

Cracker of a monitor arm. Using it on my 38 Alienware as well

    • Good to know, I had the old MSA14 and it 'droops' when pared with the alienware 38", even though it has prettty much the same weight capacity as this one (9.KG vs 10KG, supporting a 7.3KG panel)

      • The capacity changes if it’s a curved screen, which puts more forward weight.

This arm would dip too if you don’t tighten the joints up.

        • Ahh, good point, yeah, its fully tightened already

So I assume the MSA20 works well for you then?

Curved monitors werent really a thing when the MSA14 came out so that is probably it

@Tigerhacker: Yeap mine is pretty tight. But still possible to lift vertically with a bit of force. Tilting is altogether solid right because it would dip.

  • Any other monitor arms for 38” that has around -90 degree tilt?

May I ask why do you need your screen to face ceiling (or floor)?

      • Great question

  • Damnit. I'd not long bought a VIVO arm in my continuing search for one that works with my desk setup. But this looks like it'd do the job better than what I've had so far. BUY BUY!

  • How would this monitor arm go for a desk with a centre cut out, up against a wall, with no more than say 100mm distance between the cut out and the wall? Would it fit?

    • Mine's around 90mm from the wall but with the base to the right. I then have the arm fully extended and flush against the wall. Looks pretty cool as the only visible part of the arm is to the far right of the 38" monitor.

      • Yeah it would look clean! Do you think if you had to, you could centre the screen over the top of the base?

  • How would this compare with a $50 monitor arm from Kogan?

I have 2 monitors but currently only using 1 arm, thinking of getting another one.

This is the one I have: https://www.kogan.com/au/buy/kogan-full-motion-gas-spring-si…

As above, using this with the Alienware 38". Works great. Much better than the standard mount that took up half my desk!

  • would this fit on my MSI 27 inch gaming monitor?

  • Damn.

Bought this before it went out of stock and I've got a tracking number already.
Will report back once I've received the arm.

Mine just arrived (ordered yesterday morning)…

    • What are your thoughts on it?

      • +3

Mine arrived during the week and finally set it up today, so my thoughts… So far*, this is probably the best arm I've had (albeit the most expensive by over double probably). The thing I was looking for was a mount that had the least distance from the back of the desk to monitor. And this wins.

I've got an AW3821 and it seems pretty stable so far, and I haven't even tightened anything up yet. It's set up centre mounted-ish as due to my desk legs I couldn't quite fit a side mount (the centre of the monitor isn't quite over the centre of the mount, but it's okay as it's hidden by my laptop in my case), although it still seemed stable enough off to the side. This one actually does right angles on the mount, meaning it can go back further. The other mounts I've had couldn't quite do that meaning I had to angle the arm/s out further.

So yeah, I'm liking it. Also liking the matte black. Previous arms probably just being NB F100A and VIVO V001C on this monitor.
