    Big signs visible from the street, "Everything marked down 15-40%", once you park your car and get within 5ft of the signs you can read the small print at the bottom. Which basically reads "well not really, exeptions apply".
    The sale looked reasonable to me, but not as good as the signage made out. And the fine print annoyed me a lot as I don't like to be baited.
    Things like big TV's and consoles were mostly 5% off.

    I was there last week, nothing to wet your pants over. Staff told me that there is still another 5 weeks before they shut shop so I wouldn't be in any great hurry to buy anything unless you needed something at a moderate discount.

    I for one am not terribly thrilled about the closing down of DSE. Competition is good for consumers. You gotta admit they have been putting out some bargains lately (e.g. Eneloop batteries, TDK headphones etc). With DSE gone, we'll have less choices, and it will become harder to haggle at places like JB Hifi, HN, and Good Guys.

    went to geelong closing shop, most stuffs are "only" 10-20% off… the after discounted prices are still higher than the "normal" prices at JB hifi next door…

      Same with Knox Ozone, tv prices were higher than Retravision & JB hifi, both next door. laptops can get better deals anywhere else, no ipads, 50inch Vivo hd plasma $466.. been cheaper before!

    I bought the games during the Games sales http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/67540 i.e $10, $5, $2 etc… and I got further 15% discounts on that.

    I bought the Seagate Goflex 4GB for $239 (Currently it is $299) i.e 20% discount. It looks good deal for some products.
