Razer Viper Ultimate Wireless Gaming Mouse with Charging Dock $119 + Delivery ($0 VIC/WA C&C) @ PLE Computers

490

Part of PLE's Weekend Deal going until 23:59 Sunday 30th
Free click and collect at their Perth or VIC stores or add delivery cost.
Cheapest delivery to Brisbane (Auspost) is $13.96, your mileage may vary.
Previous all time low IIRC $125 delivered from Microsoft Store some weeks back.

I have a few of these mice and they're very nice. Mouse clicks are light and pleasant, battery lasts a week with all day use Mon-Fri and fully charges within a few hours using the dock.
Very light (74g) and I'm not convinced the G-Pro Superleicht is better. It may be lighter but you gotta plug cable for charging, pay for Logi's powerplay charging mat, or buy a 3rd party wireless charge solution. The GP Superlight is missing two buttons on the right panel and costs > $175 discounted.

buy a 3rd party wireless charge solution

    ~$30 Aliexpress

    costs > $175 discounted.

Was $96 over "holiday Friday" period (aliexpress) but not sure how normal that is.

    • Was $96 over "holiday Friday" period (aliexpress)

Fake? Reputable seller? Is this the regular or superlight variety? You could've racked a few hundred votes if you posted that and it was real.

    • I think only Original Dock can work with razer synapse?

    • +4

Yeah and if it’s $96 and legit why didn’t we see any post about this great deal here on Ozbargain?

$30 AliExpress is still $30 on top of the base mouse cost & god knows how long the shipping is.

This deal is in a worst case $140 locally shipped with warranty.

    • $96? I think you may be posting about the G Pro Wireless as opposed to the G Pro X Superlight. Cheapest I've seen the GPX SL is around $168 shipped (which is what I paid) from Amazon.

    • My main issue with Logitech is that they're still using mechanical switches, and the ones they use in particular are very prone to double clicking.

  • +2

Great mouse. Paid $100 for a second hand one and have no complaints. Do see a few posts from time to time complaining about build quality but nothing too serious. And unlike Logitech, Razer use optical switches that, while some folks may dislike the feel of them, these switches will not and literally can not develop double click issues. Also include some of the best stock skates for a branded mouse.

I had the G502 wireless (114g) in my wishlight for so long, finally deleted it since I can't go back to > 110g mouse again for regular use.

      • +1

If you really liked the G502. The G502 x plus is coming soon with a sub 90g weight, wireless, type c charging and all the functions and buttons of the g502 except no infinity scroll IIRC

        • Any news on the release date?

  • superlight still better, 15g lighter, actual sides that arent made of rubber that break down in 6 months and no right mouse side buttons that push down and activate when your holding the mouse.

    • +1

I had mine since Nov 2020, 14 months later the sides still good as new.
Quite a few Logitech mice (eg the old bean shaped MX range) and keyboards had rubber all over them and these did break down into a sticky mess.

    • +3

Much lighter that I agree, but the side rubber definitely doesn’t brake down after 6 months-mines a second hand and I’ve already used it for nearly a year and I also definitely didn’t see any complaints about it prone to peeling off on r/mousereview. As for the right side buttons, they also also just push down and activate and thats with me using palm grip.

Don’t know if you just have acidic hands or how weird your grip is but these two definitely aren’t issues that’s with the RVU. It may not suit everyone’s grip thats for sure, some may like the RV mini better or find the RVU’s hump a bit too low, but every mouse suits different grips and that’s really not a ‘problem’ per se.

    • +1

Honestly at 70g the Razer is already very, very light

    • +1

the rubber isnt like the previous gen anymore. the new rubber does not break down. had the viper for over a year and a half and it still looks and feels fine.

    • +1

Shape preference determines which is better… (for gaming)

    • that push down and activate when your holding the mouse.

I think that's been fixed in the new revision tho. At least, that's what I read before purchasing mine, and I haven't had any accidental clicks - if anything, they're a little bit too hard to click.

(Also, as someone who rebinds basically every button on my mouse, the 2 extra accessible buttons means a lot. One's an extra layer for the other keys & the other is a software mic mute toggle)

    • Until your superlight starts developing the double clicking issue making it unuseable under 12 months. Ask me how I know.

      • -1

        Superlight doesn't double click lmao

  • Thanks OP, been hanging out for this for a few weeks now and at $120 you really can't say no

  • My KD ratio is above 6 consistently using a MX anywhere 2S mouse. Will my skills improve with this mouse?

    • Hard to say because it may not fit your grip. Albeit this have a much better sensor than an office/productivity mouse.

    • much yes many kills
retain that KD even when not playing against bots

Best mouse! battery life not the best though.

  • Check my cart and it backs to $199. Bummer.

    • Yeah, I was just about to pull the trigger and the promotion vaporised.

  • showing as $199 here

  • :-( looks like they raised the price
    marked Expired

  • I thought it is an umbrella at first based on the thumbnail??

Previous ATL was $98, not $125

    • +1

      I stand corrected.

  • Been weighing this and the Logitech G Pro Wireless. In the time I did some re-research, the sale was done. Damn!

  • Been waiting for a price drop for a while, not ATL but still a great deal so picked one up. Thanks OP!

  • Why not get a mousepad that recharges the wireless mouse? I've been using the Logitech for a long time and it's worth the money.

    • +2
      • quite a bit cheaper

      • RVU have ~70 hour battery life and it's not a trouble to put it on the dock once every several days to recharge, the charging contacts click right in

      • this have the rgb bling

      • some people liked viper shape better

      • optical switch so no potential double click issues unlike logitech

  • waaaaaaaaaaaaaa why do i miss these things always
