Brand, store, price in title please.

had to put this up as i didnt want people to miss out. i see so many deals and never share thinking of sharing from here on

  • Is this a good deal?

    • +10

You appear to have upvoted the deal, so you must have decided it is?

      • I needed one for work and seems to be the cheapest for a name brand one.

        • -5

          So why ask?

          • +8

@GG57: "Buy first and ask questions later" methodology applied.

          • @GG57: Its the ozbargain way? As DreaminBargains said, Buy first, ask questions later :) Do i cancel the order?

            • -6

@massari: I'm ok with buy first, ask later, but why upvote if you aren't sure if it is a bargain?

              • +18

@GG57: Dude, seriously just give it a rest lol

              • +7

@Scythic: This ^ easiest way to bookmark a deal :-)

                  • +1

@ShouldIBuyIt: 100% thats why i did it. Anyway looks like my punt paid off, it was a good deal :)

                  • -1

@ShouldIBuyIt: Or you could use the actual 'Bookmark' feature?

                • +3

@Scythic: Sounds like ozb site needs an extra button/easier save function

not sure havent had a login before so still trying to use the site.

  • +5

I love the idea of OzBargainers buying something "Professional" branded from Harvey Norman !!

  • +1

Hardly Normal sold these for $75 before this deal but you can get them for around $40 often.

  • +9

$37 feels about the correct 'usual' price for this. Not a tremendous bargain IMO.

  • +3

Thanks, grabbed one. I have this set and I like the feel of the keys. Has worked well for years, no complaints.

    • so would you say other comments too critical?

      • +1

Definitely. Especially the ones who want backlighting— @ $37?

It's a smooth set, but keep your receipt. If it fails in 12 months- get your refund. Mine is STILL going, after years.

  • +3

Only thing I don’t like about this kb, is it’s not backlit

    • +7

      I prefer battery life.

      • -5

        I prefer battery less.

      • +1

I prefer to have the option. Sometimes, you do wanna type in the dark.

      • Is it really only a 3month battery life on the Keyboard? Would have expected 3 years.

  • +14

I'd buy one if it was a loss sale for Gerry

  • +2

"Think she's spotted it, just… yeah, that's right sweetheart. NON-ERGONOMIC MANAGEMENT KEYBOARD"

    • +1

chance would be a fine thing

  • RRP is laughable but seems like an ok bit of kit for 37 simoleons.

Guess uncle Gerry got a sick deal on a bulk buy.

  • chargeable or add batteries?

    • The keyboard has a built in battery, so can be charged, but the mouse takes batteries. Edit: The keyboard and mouse batteries both lasted about a year for me.

    • +1

Keyboard rechargeable. Mouse uses 2x AAA.

      • That's one heavy mouse :s

  • +9

I've tried quite a few sub $50 wireless keyboard & mouse combos for work and found the Dell Pro to be the best. https://www.dell.com/en-au/shop/dell-pro-wireless-keyboard-a…

  • +2

I used this keyboard and mouse set from March 2020 til November 2021. I paid about $80 and was pretty happy with it for the price. I swapped to a Keychron K3 purely for the mechanical experience, not because of any issues with the Lenovo.

If you're looking for a wireless scissor switch keyboard and a reasonably high DPI mouse (up to 3200 DPI) you can't go wrong for $37.

  • Got one. Thanks for posting.

  • +2

If it only had Bluetooth as well and ability to pair with multiple devices and seamlessly switch between them.

    • If only you're dreaming. At this price?

        • Please check again as that link is only for KB and this has a mouse as well.

          • @Montyjpm: Yep. But no one really is using that mouse I would say?

        • Thanks. I bought the K780 from Officeworks. Any recommendation for a matching mouse that supports multiple devices?

          • @bashar20: Logitech M720 triathlon in terms of bang for buck!!!

          • @bashar20: Just out of interest, why did you upvote this deal listing when you bought an alternative product from elsewhere?

            • @GG57: To bookmark the deal?

              • -1

@massari: There is a 'Bookmark' functionality. Upvoting something is wrong for your purpose:

"Vote positive. By voting you participate in the collaborative bargain-hunting process that is central to OzBargain. • +1

@GG57: I still think this is a good deal as a kit. However I am looking for a seamless way to connect / alternate between work laptop and personal desktop Connected to the same screen.

Following your logic, you should question everyone that bought the deal and didn’t vote positive.

              • @bashar20:

Following your logic, you should question everyone that bought the deal and didn’t vote positive.

Of course, but it is almost impossible to identify them. I agree that those people are not adding any value to the OzB community by not voting.

  • Anyone know of a slim back lit keyboard that works via usb not Bluetooth? Needs to be mini keyboard too so no num pad

  • Nearest in stock store is like 30kms away lol, good deal anyway!

  • +1

    Bought one. Can't resist :)

  • +2

    It's that annoying arrow layout.

  • I just bought Rapoo E9550G for sub $60. Very happy with it.

  • Warning, key layout is gross.

  • WTF I got this email from HN

Hi *****! Thanks for placing your order with us. However after careful review, we have decided to not accept your order. We apologise for any inconvenience.

How do I remove my up vote from this?

    • I just ordered a couple from Joyce Mayne that worked

    • Also $2 cheaper on delivery $5.95 rather than HN $7.95

    • Did you ask why the discrimination?

      • This is what the email said. I've never had this problem before and my name, address and credit card all go to the same address.

Reasons for cancelling orders most commonly involve credit card and address validation errors, or a mismatch of information.

Unless because I had to switch off my ad-blocker and refresh the page during the order.

    • well that's odd.

have you been bashing Mr. Norman and his views on social media, perchance?

      • No not yet but maybe I should start

    Bought two, here's my review

    Pros:
    - Ultra slim for space saving
    - Very good value for money
    - Wireless
    - Mouse includes a notch for 800, 1600, and 3200 dpi

    Cons:
    - Keys sound awful if you bottom out with enough force
    - No angle adjustments
    - Mouse shape is unconventional (too slim)
    - The keyboard on my Thinkpad 13 provides a better typing experience

I average over 90 words per minute with over 90% accuracy
I got 94 wpm on this Lenovo KB first go
105 wpm on an Apple KB, and
At least 100 wpm on my Dell KB216 at home.

I can clearly hear the keys bottoming out on the Lenovo KB when I hit them enough force - it sounds clickity clacky. I don't get this kind of problem with the Apple keyboard (because it uses a different key switch design) in fact no matter how much force I use, the Apple keys stay relatively quiet. The Dell KB216 I have at home is also very silent and provides a great typing experience, maybe not as good as the Apple KB but it only cost me $20.

IBM Thinkpads are renowned for having the best keyboards of any laptop, unfortunately that doesn't translate into these Lenovo KB's (I have a wired Lenovo KB that also disappointed).

If you're looking for the best no frills non-backlit wireless KB experience for less than $50 then look no further than realfancyman's recommendation (KM5221W).

2/10 Will most likely try to get a refund for these

    • +1

Thank you. I was considering since I thought it would be a similar typing experience like on a Lenovo laptop I had long ago.
      What a shame.

    • Any recommendations for Chiclet style keyboard / mouse combo for less than $100 other the dell KM5221W?

  • So cheap.. bought hard to resist.

The wife needs a replacement for her old wired kb.

  • Got mine. The keyboard is great value for the price in terms of the mechanism you get. It's not membrane but some sort of scissor switch - nowhere near as good at the mechanicm on lenovo T,P or X series laptops.

Just chuck out the mouse - but odn't forget the dongle.

Annoying think about the keys is naturally the keyswitch wants to bottom out and consequently slows you down. I don't like how the bottom curve of the keycap shape has a much bigger angle than normal, feels like 1/20 of the keycap is missing.

Mine came with like w water stain marks that I can't seem to get off but this is much better than any base membrane keyboard.
I like the massive delete button.
