  • Has anyone not handed their phone back as part of the trade in after the 7 days?
    interested if people are getting charged.. and if they are getting charged for the Samsung bonus amount as well.

    • Got my phone 7 days ago and haven't received any comms on what next…. Haven't been charged any fees yet either.

      • Make sure you check your spam folder! I wasn't intending on handing my phone in and my 7 days has passed - nothing has been charged to me yet (fingers crossed).
        I've also noticed that the initial charge has disappeared from my card.

        • Just confirming, you got the email in your spam, and you still decided not to send it in, or you are saying check it just in case?

          • @sh4hp: That particular email came through my non-spam but I've had some of their earlier emails go to another folder, which I found really odd. But yes in my case, I'm choosing to ignore it as I intend to keep my phone. I got sent a secondary email past the 7 days to remind me to send my phone in though. It also told me what my final charge would be (in my case, it was $85)

  • So we don't have to send the trade in phone back and get the bonus trade in value? Have iPhone 8 that was valued at $60. Not worth sending it. Can be used for chopper rides 🤣 aka 711.

    Trade in been hopeless…sent device… Arrived last Monday.. they send 2 emails during the week now have taken the full amount and admin fee from card today.

    • Same here. Just noticed the transaction today. I sent the traded-in phone and AusPost tracking shows it as being delivered to them last week. F'ing assholes. And they still have not activated my Samsung Care Plus, despite numerous emails and chats with support. I wonder how they will be with refunding the wrongly charged amount. I hope I don't have to invoke charge-back with the credit card company.

        With your Samsung Care - I never received the email but I ended up just activating it myself using my IMEI number in the Samsung Care Portal.

        • I tried it didn't work for me. When I typed in my IMEI it would tell me there's an error.

            @findingbargains: I had that a couple of times but I waited about a week after receiving the phone and tried again and that time, it worked (sorry, can't explain why)

  • S22U burgundy leather Case still processing after ordering on 01/03. Rest of order received, ask separately. Support is hopeless.

    • My case is still not shipped as well - just a black silicone case. No idea when it will come. Was forced to buy a cheap case off Amazon :(
