  • +7

I still haven't received my credits from last round… Doubt this will be any different.

  • +7

    How is this allowed lol

  • +1

where does it say you get $50? All I’m seeing is you’d get one of three mystery prizes

    • See OP picture

    • +1

Yes there's no mention from the link, that's why I'm thinking it's possibly tied to the site/app that screenshot was taken from only & not for just anyone who signs up?
Seen to many tricks these companies use to avoid giving vouchers in the past.

      • +3

It's just a sponsored post on Facebook.

  • Do you think it's possible the $50 voucher only applies if you use the link from that screenshot? Not sure where it's from messenger or twitter maybe (I don't use either anymore)
    Can you clarify OP?

    • The email after registering says that all participants receive the $50.

  • +2

    Vomit

    • +14

Yeah honestly support a local banh mi or Vietnamese store, much better for cheaper.

  • +85

I've applied three times. I hope they don't banh mi.

    • +4

pho sho. u r gonna get banh

    • +3

Haiyaa, I hope they don’t wok you out

      • +3

Uncle Roger, is that you? 😅

        • +2

Niece and nephew, is that you my cousin? 😂

          • @BargainsGrabber: How can your niece and nephew also be your cousin?

            • @Ebaygiftcards: If you get the reference on uncle roger, you would know haha

              • +1

@BargainsGrabber: Yes I know the Uncle Roger reference, calling everyone his nieces and nephews. As well as his fried rice, colander, rice cooker, MSG, haiyaaa and fuyoh references to name a few. Who hasn’t.

But I’ve never heard Uncle Roger calling his nieces and nephews as his cousins too….In the words of Uncle Roger, “that’s phuc’d up” lol

    • +2

      You're probably phuc'd

  • +4

I'm ready to be my own boss

      Facebook sponsored post.

  • +1

Wow… so many potential franchisees LUL

  • +1

Once you register you will receive an email. In the email there is an image banner with ref to the picture OP posted.

  • -8

    yuk

    • -2

Almost as yuk as your invalid neg. Got time to kill…. Read the guidelines.

      • -1

wow I didn't realise u took this so seriously - get a life dude

  • +21

genuinely surprised this place is still around

they are really clever to only position their stores in really non asian areas

no person who knows good vietnamese food would ever eat the food here

    • +4

Surprised the Chatswood store is still up. In such a cultured area, there's so many other better and cheaper options within walking distance

  • +5

    who even eats roll'd lmao

    • +5

The same people who go to La Porchetta for pizza

    • +1

as a uni student, I eat the rice paper rolls the day after the nbl. In true ozbargain spirit, tastes better when its free.

  • +2

They will sell you a franchise, unfortunately you won't find any staff so you'll end up working it yourself for minimum wage.

  • Has anyone ever received their credit?

  • If I took up this offer I'd be regret-pho-l

  • +2

Sounds like the next gloria jeans

    • +2

Thought it was Glorious Jeans because the jeans people were wearing inside probably tasted better than the coffee did. So glad when they closed down near me.

  • +1

Would be happier if its Grill'd lol

    • +4

I'm honestly surprised Grill'd never tried to sue them. Name looks like a blatant attempt to ride Grill'd coattails in my opinion.

      • +3

        i thought so too

except grill'd actually sells decent food, whereas roll'd is horrendous

  • +3

    Can't trust and waste time.

  • +2

requires large time commitment and borderline fraudulent EOI to get deal

  • +3

BÁNH MÌ costs $9.50 at rolled … only costs $5 at my local Vietnamese bakery … I'd only value the store credit at $26.31

    • +3

$5?? You're getting ripped man, $4.80 is where it's at

      • +1

Where do you get $4.80 banh mi? Even in Footscray and Springvale they're $7+

        • -1

Where do you get $4.80 banh mi?

Dunno about Melbourne, but cheap Banh Mi's are all over the place in Sydney. I can think of places in Cambramatta, Liverpool, Marrickville, Mascot.

        • I was gonna say the same…! Surprised that you're able to still get Banh Mi at sub $5 prices… and in Sydney of all places?

They probably didn't catch on to this article?

      • -2

        You're getting ripped man

Now that you mention it, it's probably $4.80 … roll'd credit is only worth $25.26 to me.

    • +2

Of course it’s $9.50. How do you expect franchisees to make ends meet after paying the exhorbitant royalty fee on sales?

  • +3

Tried one at Parramatta store before, gotta say it was bad. It closed down so soon for a reason.

  • Where does it say about $50 voucher? All I see is you enter to win 1 of 3 prizes by attending online event.

  • +5

You need to attend their franchising info session. So this is a zoom meeting. Maybe you could game a voucher, but it would be a lot of work. Probably shouldn't have been posted.

    • +11

      IMO not a valid neg.

People negging that they have tried this offer before and did not receive the voucher is a valid reason to neg because it makes the deal unobtainable which is important for people to know.

Do you think it would be valid to neg deals that require you to drive an hour each way (2 hours) to get to the sale location and purchase the item to save $50?

I would hope not and therefore I hope that makes you understand what would be a valid neg and what does not.

Those willing to log in to the zoom meeting (let it run in the background if they don't want to listen), can attempt to obtain the voucher if that's how they want to spend their time to get a deal. If you don't want to spend your time that way, please scroll to the next deal and don't leave negs that make people unsure if a deal is good or not for the right reasons (not everyone reads the comments).

      • -1

This is not a product. The vouchers are for potential franchisees. "leaving it in the background" will be a waste of the ozb's time, affect their bandwidth and disturb the Roll'd staff. They are not going to give out ten's or hundreds of vouchers for non genuine enquiries. It's stuff like this that gives ozbargain a bad name and also pee's off promo staff deciding on deals for the future.

        • Again, it is not for you to determine what a waste of ozB time would be. You can just scroll past this type of “deal” on the page and never click into it, you don’t have to put negs for posts based on your personal judgment of the “deal” not being worth “your” time.

And yes when you break down what this promotion is, its not a very good one. Typically most people who are going to buy a franchise worth thousands if not hundreds of thousands of dollars won’t be too concerned about receiving a $50 product voucher.

I like the zoom idea it todays world but as a marketing promotion, this should be an in person meeting where they cater the presentation with their food that you sample as part of the research on it being a good business.

But they chose to run the promo this way and therefore the ozB users can determine if it’s worth their time, not you, thats all my point is.

          • -1

@yacman: ok… I wrote the thing about zoom because most of the comments above were saying "voucher not received" after just registering. If there was a comment from the OP saying "for potential franchisees" for example, then I have no issues, as there are people that it applies to on Ozbargain. Or maybe it goes to the forum so it doesn't get over exposed. Roll'd was probably affected by Covid and now they have to get someone to sort through hundreds of registrations. Other's have pointed out that after you register, you also get put on their marketing lists…

    • Totally agree with you

  • +1

Do people really think they will give $50 vouchers to 200+ Desperado's lol :) ?

  • Vietnamese indian and other SE Asian food are supposed to be good cheap ingredients great flavours. The price tag on some of these items are a joke

  • +1

    Is this deal Pho real?

  • I looked at the registration form .
Whatever you do don't put you heard about them on OZB.
    Put existing Franchisee :)
They will data sort and probably ring you .

    • Or Facebook, that's where the original advert was posted.
