  • hows the battery life?
    using enloops??

    • +1

I'm using enloops but can't say how long they last which probably means heaps. Also, probably depends if you're using bt or the dongle.

      • +1

think ill splurge for the ultimate - i need the clutch paddle for fps and im an rgb whore - thanks for the response thou

    • I'm using Orochi v2 since Dec 2021 with the included Energizer Ultimate Lithium AA and still showing full battery in Razer Synapse software.

Have been using it in 2.4ghz mode 99.9% of the time which supposedly drains the battery quicker.

      • you can use synapse to auto switch between 125 and 1000hz polling rate if gaming or not to save extra battery

    • I get about 3 weeks for the basilisk on 2.4ghz 1000 polling heavy use with an eneloop

    • I got about 3 months on the Basilisk, but it depends how often you use it. Very handy being able to plop a an AA in

  • +1

This brilliant mouse and for a difference on ozb it's actually a bargain. I have two of basilixes and don't see ever needing an upgrade.

  • nice mouse bought from this deal. I like it

  • +2

wow, at this price point, no brainer

real bargain, even compare to $50+ logitech mx anywhere2s and G304/305

    • Don't buy mx anywhere 2 if you need a middle click.

  • Thanks op! Amazing price!

  • +1

How do these go for a regular mouse? Working, browsing, not gaming?

    • Fine. I’ve been using one for non gaming stuff since the last deal and it’s been great.

    • Great! It's my work mouse. I wanted something comfy, wireless and with no discernable latency.

I still haven't changed the battery months later, but I probably only use it for 3 hours per day, so I may be an outlier. On 2.4GHz btw, not Bluetooth.

  • I have the Basilisk X and don't quite like it especially the right mouse button design. The right mouse button wrap to the side of the mouse and the way I grip my ring finger sometimes side grip the button even I am not pressing the right button with my middle finger.

    • +1

I have it and the right mouse button is good. It's personal preference

  • Any deals on Logitech g502 hero wireless

    • Amazon has it for $117 atm but it's been consistently dropping in price. Wondering how far it will go down to.

      • The new g502 wireless was leaked couple months back, it'll most likely be released this year. Will probably push the current g502 wireless even lower.

  • MX518 cheap too. So tempting but I cbf with wired mice.

I'M USING A BASILISK RIGHT NOW

and I still want to buy it on this deal…

This is the best deal for a wireless mouse right now

  • no way people r buying the basilisk and not the orochi
orochi is a much better mouse and an amazing deal

    • much better as in? can u elaborate ? thanks

      • lighter, better build quality, better qc, nicer shape. not a filthy ergo

    • I've been using Orochi last few weeks and it is great if you like the shape.

No random drop-outs like the basilisk either.

      • does the middle button work?

        • What do you mean does it work.. Everything about it works😅

          • @Dvbargain: anywhere 2 has no middle button

            • @wangsk: But this isn't the MX anywhere haha. Yeah it has a functional game usable button on the scroll wheel

              • +1

@Dvbargain: thanks, I am asking about Orochi as you have been using it.

    • I've had zero issues with the Basilisk X. Orochi is too small and gives me hand/wrist strain.

    • I guess is a matter of preference in terms of size, if you use palm grip the Orochi will be too small, but if you use fingertip grip or even claw grip the Orochi wins hands down.

  • FML, I just bought this mouse from the same store last week…

    • Some places have a policy where if they change the price within the next week or so, you can get it for the updated price.

Pretty sure this place doesn't have it but it's worth a look 🤷‍♂️

  • Does anyone have experience with how fussy is it with the surface? Do you need a mouse mat? or will it work on a desk surface?

    • +1

Tracks fine on my wood desk but the feet are quite slippy imo compared to the g305 I had before it, so I much prefer using on a mat or mousepad.

Not sure how it might go on glass.

  • Have a white Orochi V2…worked for a few months then broke. Razer customer service is a bit rubbish.

  • +1

I have the basilisk and it's quite comfortable to use for long periods of time. But I always get connection issues where it drops out randomly or doesn't wake up when I come back to my desk.

    • Yep, mine drops out at least once almost every day. I've already put in an order for a G305 to replace it, worst is it's not even a turn it off and on again fix you literally need to unplug the USB dongle and replug it in.

      • I find reseating the battery works as an alternative to reseating the USB dongle

  • basilisk oos

  • Currently using wired g502, still miss the wireless function. should I get the orochi as basilisk is OOS anyway.

  • basilisk failed for me, lost connection to dongle or drops out constantly

  • I had to return the Razer Basilisk mouse. I regularly switch between my laptop and desktop and it seemed to keep having issues connecting when switching.

  • Heads up for those considering the Orochi, Razer does not make Synapse software for macOS. You'll be unable to customise bindings, dpi profiles, macros, etc. Other than that, it's an amazing mouse at this price.

  • Currently basilisk is OOS

  • I was looking at getting a Logitech G305 and then changed my mind to the Orochi V2 and cheapest I could find was $59, but for $39 it's a no brainer. Ordered one. Thanks OP!

  • My Basilisk hyperspeed is now chewing through batteries. The one that came with it, energizer max lasted from xmas until last weekend. I bought the same brand battery and I am on my 3rd one since Monday. I changed no settings.

  • Anyone else getting issues with the 2.4ghz wireless mode?

Sometimes when playing dota2, the mouse will become unresponsive. The dongle has to be removed and reconnected.

Would it be better to use Bluetooth mode instead?

  • Mostly happy with the Basilisk, only issue is that it sometimes won't wake from sleep and I have to turn it off and on again. Otherwise it's solid!

  • Anyone still waiting for delivery?

Tracking says it was sent on 15 March, with estimated delivery as 18 March.

This in stark contrast to Amazon - ordered something on Saturday night and the package arrived on Monday morning. I'd even ordered a laptop skin from Dbrand on 15 March, which shipped from Canada, and it arrived on 28 March.

How the heck does it take this long to ship something locally?!

    • Update:

We are officially deeming this shipment as missing in transit.

Our depot teams have now finalised their investigations and have advised that despite a comprehensive depot search, as well as checks and investigations with the relevant couriers, our efforts have been futile. Given that we have not had a scanning event in the past 10 business days, we unfortunately will be deeming this parcel as missing in transit.

We acknowledge that this is not a favourable outcome and extend our deepest apology.
