  • Does anyone know how 2080S mobile is in comparison to 30x0 mobile GPUs?

    • +1

low powered maxq version, so slightly better than an 3060 but worse than a 3070. Also take into account of intel 10th gen vs 11th gen/5000 series. IIRC no mux switch either but I stand to be corrected. Only 1 nvme slot as well.

Not really a good buy unless you wanted the razer branding and this is not a 'thinner & lighter gaming laptop' like the blade 14/zephyrus line ups as this is 2.2kg.

  • Tempting….

  • +2

I have had this laptop with the 2070Super and the same 8core CPU. It's a great laptop overall and good value for sure at this price! I would say however its worth noting this CPU cannot be undervolted like past intel CPU's on the blades, only downclocked. So it runs really really hot, it will happily run like that but anyone interested should keep it in mind as i didn't find out till after i bought it!

i was temped to buy this then i saw this comment did some research, it's good but 'm not in a rush so ill wait a bit to see if anything else does come by.
      Thanks for sharing though!

      • Glad it helped!

    • Battery is fine no bloating?

lot of money for laptop with 2 year old parts

Mandarin speakers refer to Razer as 'Black Apple' for a reason and you can bet it aint because razer got their own version of M1 cpus or anything.

      • +1

Thanks for this insight into the mandarin speaker world! Very interesting

        • I should also note that ‘Black apple’ in mandarin usually means a hackintosh but can also refer to razer products.

    • I found a good deal on mine, got the 17 Pro with exactly the same internals for $2k.

exactly same experience except 2080S Max-Q has a bit higher TGP in 17, and better thermals thanks to 4 coolers instead of 2

I got rid of mine as soon as 12th gen intel and 30x0 refresh were announced, and it moved from "last gen" into "2 gen old" category

buying one now isn't wise. you can have things which perform better, run cooler, and have better resale value.

  • The service of this website is terrible!I paid for it at the first time and told me it was sold out. Liar website

god telling you not to get this and wait to buy something better.

      • That's a wise god.

  • -1

    2080 lol

    • still similar to 3060 performance.

      • I reckon 2080 Super Max Q is faster than any 3060 Mobile for sure.

        • +2

Slightly faster than 3060 mobile and about 20% slower than 3070 mobile.

  • …aaand its gone!

  • Only 300 nits?
