I've been 4K PC gaming since 2016 on 42" and 43" 4K TV's. It's great. DLSS was the best thing to ever happen, also most of the time you just have to run things at 1440p, but TV's have their own upscaling methods which make it look good too. If I had a 3080 Ti right now though, pretty much all games can run at 4K with DLSS, and most games these days are released with DLSS support.

Only need to spend another $62 to reach the next discount tier for the coupon and receive another $50 off so may be worth trying to find something else to add on top.

For example, you could get a 480GB M.2 SATA SSD for only $16 extra.

$938 Gigabyte AORUS 43inch 4K UHD VA QLED Gaming Monitor
    $66 Kingston A400 480GB M.2 SATA SSD
    -$100 SNSAVEA
    = $904
  • One big drawback of this monitor is that it's on a fixed stand i.e. you can't adjust height, tilt etc. So basically it's a TV. So quite similar to LG OLEDs.

    • I mean, it's a 43 inch panel, so you're likely going to be sitting quite a bit further away than on a 27 inch monitor.

But if you so plan on using it as a desk monitor, it has VESA mountings, so as long as you can get a strong enough stand you can add tilt and lift for around 150-200 dollars.

But yeah, really this is a monitor designed to replace a mid-size TV for when you wanna couch game without dealing with the benefits of a dedicated monitor instead of a 60hz tv

  • not OLED :-(
