  • This or deco series?

It really depends on what your requirements are. I like simplification, I saw that TP-Link had 15 different options and was very overwhelmed with features that i was getting and wouldn't use vs features I want and didn't get.

Setup took me about 5min and plugged straight into my NBN box. It covers my whole house and we are on a 1,000 m² block and gets good range out the front and backyard as well. Have profiles for all family members and can limit when certain members have internet or what they can access. What else would I need?

      • Was that coverage with all 3 eeros or just 1

  • Does each one include ethernet port for wired back haul? If not, does it doing that via wifi create much lag? The house is already wired, so wired is probably my best bet…

    • Apparently the deco is wired backhaul

Another option is the asus xd6 - which I got on sale form eBay. Has been rock solid for us. With wired backhaul. Dong reviews it well

    • This eero 6 bundle doesn't have wired backhaul.

Amazon eero 6 mesh Wi-Fi system (1 router, 2 extenders)
2 Ethernet ports on eero 6 router only

eero 6 Pro can do a wired backhaul.

Amazon eero Pro 6 mesh wifi system
6 Ethernet ports (2 per eero Pro).

  • Very happy with my Eero 5, this one unfortunately doesn’t have Ethernet ports on the secondary units so no wired back haul. I just wanted Ethernet ports to set up a disjoint wired network with some PCs and a NAS for backups, so went with the 5

  • this or orbi, ive been with orbi for a while

  • If any of you are on Arlo cameras, Eero doesn’t work well with them. I am sort out of stuck with them.

    • Hey thanks mate. May I know what the issues are ?

      • This is the issue mate. community post

Arlo and Eero support both couldn’t resolve it.

        • I think these are issues with Arlo but not specific to eero.

          • @nsavi: Agree! The moment is switch camera to my ISP provided router they stream fine. So I feel the issue could be related to both.

I've got one router and looking for an extender. Should I buy another router or wait until EOFY

    • Extenders can halve your bandwidth. Get a mesh system like this one.
