      ^Exactly what I was thinking about, its simply absurd how much the L5P is still costing a year after release, like sure full powered GPU and a nice panel but its kind hard to justify the price as time went on,

      For comparison the Chinese retail price for the 3060 L5P is 8799 CNY which is about 1.85k AUD, even adding on 10% GST, it would be ~2036 AUD, that's not to mention the current going price for the L5P from third parties in China is already way below the original RRP.

      We pay so much more for eletronics here its not even funny. And I dont think import duty is all to blame here, since as much I despise Dell, their machines can be had for much cheaper-even given the shortcomings-which can be solved with external upgrades and will be no more expensive than buying a Legion outright. The Lenovo's ANZ markup is simply insane, browsing r/gaminglaptop and I see that even NA/EU have better pricing than us.

        Title does say this version is 16gb RAM unlike the previous 8gb ones, but actually description says 8gb so it's all a bit strange.

    Disappointing at that price point. The Intel Legion series is floating around (stock issues) but it comes with the huge performance gain of 12th gen Intel plus the Ryzen 6000 laptop series is around the corner. Would have expected more of a discount for this + a 3060.

    Also legion 7 with 5800h and 3070 and 1tb nvme was only 2.4k in autumn and since that is the flagship, this price is down right insulting.

    I am looking for a laptop for music production and to use live for VST plug ins.
    I dont believe this type of task benefit from GPU, so not required.
    I don't think I am ready to go over to Mac M1 unless its a game changer.

    Pretty good deal for both of us

    Crazy that people still paying 2500-3000 for 3070 laptop
