Yeah I noticed that too, which is good for sydney buyers, i prefer going there pickup myself than trusting these horrible couriers …

1660 TI 47th place just after a 3050 at 48th placing, not to shabby πŸ‘πŸ˜
    https://benchmarks.ul.com/compare/best-gpus?amount=0&sortBy=…

Though posted on Ozbargain a 3050 for $16 more
    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/692309

I think both above are non LHR cards for certain people

    • +6

at this stage I think the RTX3050 is the better longer term buy, (DLSS, RTX, extra ram)

    • +2

2060 super probably worth the extra

      • +1

35th place for a 2060 super, do they still sell brand new? Do you know any good deals if so?

        • Only ever saw 2060 non super 6gb or 12gb, but they not cheap, why?

          • @kaikor: $449 for the RTX2060 from Amazon

            https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/692190

            • @Rod M: Thx, I saw prebuilt still come with 2060 and wonder if budget is really tight and go with that, but will this GPU still ok in 3-5 yrs time?

              • @kaikor: really depends on what you want to use it for in 3-5 years, I would stretch the budget to at least get a 3060 if you expect to keep the pc for a while,

        • Not sure that easy to find brand new but mine is still doing a great job (got it from a mate near new in 2020 for $500). Just an example of something if you didn't want to pay top dollar for a 3000 series

      • 6600 8GB worth the extra

  • +5

a 3 year old card low to mid tier card selling for close to release price is recognized as a bargain

    Dark times for pc diy

    • Built a PC for my mate with it years ago and paid less than this.

  • +1

Slightly better than this trash deal
    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/695157
But this is still trash price for trash - who would up vote such a deal?

  • +5

been a few at the same price
realistically better to pay the ~$50 more for a RX6600

This deal is useful if you're looking for a 2nd hand one to show to the sell their card isnt work $500 haha

  • -2

you all thinking from gamers pov.. this card still one of the most efficient card for miners..

    • +5

yes because most of us not miners. so we think gamers pov.

    • +1

its not bad, but again the 6600 is more efficient and better resale

      • why the negged though… i dont get it

        • anti-miners… probably jealous they missed the boat once upon a time

          • @Lonewolf1983: There is still time to mine.

Mine for 90d and cut the cost down by about 1/4.

  • People said it's a trash.πŸ˜…

  • Is it worth paying for an external graphic card for dual DP display set-up over the onboard graphic, if all I'm doing is office-related work and no gaming?

    • An office pc doesn't need dedicated graphics, and even if you do need GPU acceleration you need to do a bit of research into what kind of GPU you'll need. 3D modelling / CAD for example requires workstation GPU's.

  • +1

Pretty bad deal. 9 upvotes all from members who don't want good deals for others.

All their rubbish aside. This is an awful deal compared to historical pricings and the current 3050/rx6600 options.

Jimmy is not a well minded poster on this site and will neg your deal against community guidelines because of their paranoid obsessive hatred for GPU deals.

Here's another display of the paranoid hated: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/694835

      • Nice try it's honestly sad miners are trawling bargainhunter sites and feeling threatened. They're also the ones upvoting all the overpriced deals.

        GTX 1660 $242 - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/572076
        GTX 1660s $299 - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/586888

        This is $409 money - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/571694. A 2060s is far faster than this 1660ti

        • A cheaper price years ago is not a valid reason to neg.

          • -1

            @studentl0an: Why not?

What about the currently available $450 rx6600? $50 for something 10% faster than GTX 1080. This is effectively a GTX 1070 with 2gb less vram

You seem to very much have an agenda with your comments. Miner

            • -1

@Jimmy77: In comparison to the currently available cards it's a terrible deal lol. But yeah miner press red button. And please stop polluting my comments with a string of merry go round replies.

            • @Jimmy77: It's not a valid reason to neg.

The valid reasons to neg: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/wiki/help:voting_guidelines#ina…

              1) The deal is not the cheapest available.
              2) Issue with the product. (being cheaper in the past is not an issue with the product, an issue with the product is if you have experience with it and have a problem with the actual product).
              3) Issue with the retailer.

              • @studentl0an: It's a bad deal so I negged it. Fighting a losing battle here my friend

          • @studentl0an: Reminds me of the time a guy brought up "This appliance was cheap in 2016", on a 2021 post

That's great man, but that was 4 years ago when I didn't need it, now I want the appliance now. What's the best price in this era is the question, not looking for lectures of half-decade ago pricing.

  • -4

πŸ‘ price for a decent miner.

It can pay itself off in no time.

    • +2

About 400 days (more than 1 year) to pay itself off at the current price.

      • -4

Play games for 1h, mine 23h a day and get a free GPU after 14m.

That sounds like a πŸ‘ deal.

  • Im not a gamer and just want something for around $250-$300 to allow me to run 3 or 4 monitors, do some photo editing, and just generally keep my PC running fast. Finding it hard to nail down a good option
