Deliveroo: 15% Cashback on Gift Cards @ ShopBack via App

420

Just saw this on the app, available until midnight.

Gift card expiry is Feb 2025, so there's plenty of time to order your pizzas, curries, pintxos, etc.
Edit: I just put a code into my Deliveroo account and it says "expires on 14 February 2024." Still more than enough time to order a Zrazi or two (if you can find it!)

Thanks OP. This pushed me to finally sign up to Deliveroo. I stacked with every offer I could find. Hope I didn't miss anything.

$105 in gift cards, $32 worth of vouchers and 90 days Deliveroo Plus for $82. Not bad.

Good luck - my last 2 orders have had estimated delivery times of 20-35 minutes and have taken over 2 hours. I'm done with deliveroo

      • Ditto, never again. My last two Deliveroo orders just never turned up. Driver was half way here and marked the order as complete. Support has always been good enough to refund afterwards, but that does little towards the feeling of hunger after waiting an hour for food that never arrives. The two times before that I placed an order at a shop that was supposedly open, only to have my order cancelled with no reason an HOUR after I placed the order. Had to contact support to find out why the order was cancelled, apparently the driver rocked up to pick the food up and the store was closed. Every time I’ve dealt with Deliveroo makes me feel like they’ve got their s**t together less and less…

I also use DoorDash and have never once had an issue. Things get here super fast, and the ability to contact a driver for 30 minutes after they’ve marked the order as delivered would help prevent any of the issues I’ve had with Deliveroo (if I ever need to). They also require a photo of the delivered food to mark it as complete. Seems like a no brainer to me.

      • I never received my order last night.

Driver collected it from the store and next thing I see is they went to a set of units in the opposite direction from me and the store. The ETA kept getting pushed back so I couldn't even complain about it running late. A couple hours later some lady called from a Sydney number to advise that my order has been cancelled and a credit issued to my account.

I think the driver collected my order, drove home and ate my dinner.

  • For anyone who hasn't used Deliveroo before or in a while, before jumping on this offer, check what they have available in your area.

In my case, it looks like they haven't got any delivery people signed up/available. The only places available are the ones who deliver themselves; all the others are "back soon". It's been like this for a good few weeks. I'm in suburban Sydney, and don't have the same issue with Menulog, Uber Eats, etc. I was surprised as I found the other services pretty similar from this point of view.

Deliveroo is woeful, handful of restaurants and never any drivers…..

My biggest beef with Deliveroo and gift cards is the lack of transparency in tracking your balance and what it's been spent on. It's incredibly difficult to figure it out, particularly when there are partial refunds/credits or credits with time limits. I'm not sure if anyone else actively tracks their gift card balance but this lack of transparency has actually scared me away from using gift cards of any significant value beyond the amount I need for an order right there and then.

    • Yeah i do not like it too. Especially when I had refunds on cancelled orders etc. The transaction details and credits are very confusing and not easy to track. Sometimes I has to argue with the customer service and waste so much time cuz it's very opaque. Otherwise I have no issues with them.
