Apple iPhone 11 128GB Black/White/Green $827 + Delivery ($0 to Metro Areas) @ Officeworks / $829 + Delivery ($0 C&C) @ JB Hi-Fi

340

Just compare it to the "newest" iPhone SE 3. Both at the same price tag. looks a bit hard to make a decision to buy which one.

Price: $827 vs $799
Screen: 6.1" vs 4.7"
CPU: A13 vs A15
Mobile: 4G vs 5G
Back Camera: 2 vs 1
Battery: 17 vs 15 hours
Weight: 194 vs 144grams
GPS: GPS vs GPS+GLONASS+Beidou
eSIM: 1 eSIM vs Dual eSim support (I guess it meant the number of active eSIM at meantime)

Or waiting for the Telstra deal tomorrow as mentioned by @hurtsville

If you're with Telstra, you can get some decent discounts with Telstra Day tomorrow.
They have iPhone 11 128gb for $779, iPhone 12 128gb for $1029.

  • Worth getting this or pay extra 170$ for the 12?

    • +7

Definitely worth paying extra for 12

      • -1

11 is actually better thermal wise

    • +2

      iPhone 12 is $1077 - $827 = $250 diff. If you can afford $250. go for 12 definitely

      • +2

I think Phage is referring to the 12's 64gb model, which is on sale for $997 if I remembered correctly, $1077 is 12's 128gb model

        • +1

64 GB is not worth unless you are using only to make calls, few apps and less photos.

    • Definitely. Much better display is worth it alone, that’s before you factor in a newer processor and cameras.

  • +2

    screen size matters

    • +2

Yeah, smaller screen is much better IMO. I was sad the day my original iPhone SE died.

      • +1

The most beautiful iPhone device apple has ever made imo, SE!

        • Ima have to disagree with you there TaurusHead and say the mini imo…albeit for similar reasons. I briefly had a larger phone and realised the mistake very quickly.

          • @Lps: I’m with you on the Mini. Beautiful phone, more screen estate in smaller size!

          • @Lps: Agree to disagree, Can't deny the significance of the bigger screen, myself had a iPhone 7 and now have 12 but I like the 7 better from sizing and carrying point of view!

        • Agree

      • +1 for 12mini. Brother has an 11, I have 12 mini and wife has 13. Mini is the nicest to hold, very pocketable and has the full screen functionality while being smaller than SE. Nicer night photos than 11 too.
I do have to keep an eye on the battery though. Usually at 25% at the end of the day which is annoying (my use case) as it is either charge at night (which I don’t prefer) or half charge next day before leaving for work. The 11 and 13 are both two day devices for us.

    • can this be used to price match at JB ?

      • +1

Dunno if they'll price match as its a members special.

However you can buy a $2 telstra sim to get access to Telstra Plus if you were serious about it.

    • For $65 a month after 1st month? Who on earth pays that these days?

Edit: Unless the phone is almost free

      • "And of course, none of our plans have lock-in contracts. You can cancel anytime, and all you need to pay is the amount remaining on your device. "

        • So you can cancel after the $1 first month without penalty?

          • +2

@Lps: The phones are an outright purchase, no relation to the $65 plan.

    • Does anyone know if the Telstra phones are locked to the telstra network?

  • -2

    Screen: 6.1" vs $4.7

    I'd go for the $4.70 one…

  • So many iPhone 11 offers nowadays… I wonder they are emptying the selves for the new one :D

    • +2

The 11 took the place of the XR when 13 came out, and it’s now going through the same discount cycle. If my memory serves me right, the 11 is essentially a 3 year old model. It works fine for most people but I would consider the discounted price as fair value rather than anything special.

  • Seems to be a decent deal if you want the 128gb version in white or green. For the black version Optus deal and tomorrow’s Telstra Day offer better price. I’m getting one for my daughter’s birthday but I’m not sure if I’d pay extra for something other than black 😂

After watching the comparison between the Apple iPhone SE Gen3/2022 Vs Apple iPhone 11. I would go for the Apple iPhone 11.

    There's also still this deal - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/697034

For anyone wanting it on a plan with Optus you can have the iPhone 11 for ~$688, which comes with the Optus connection for a year.
