Purchased on 20th, lodged on the 26th after the full 5 days had lapsed. Got the message from support saying it had tracked but it still wasn't visible in my account and my application marked as rejected. But then email Today with it manually added on shopback end and appears. Just put eBay plus in the order ID box

  • What reference do you put as the order id when submitting a missing cash back claim?

  • Put through a missing cashback claim with "ebayplus" as the order ID and it's status has just changed to rejected…

    • Hey zacothewacko, sorry for the confusion, this should be credited to you in a new line above the original claim shortly. If not, shoot me a DM and I'll gladly help get it sorted.

  • I can't log a case with Shopback
Tried Invoice ID, Transaction ID of Paypal, eBay login id, and email address.
All came back "Your order ID is not in right format."
Can anybody pls let me know how to log a Shopback case with this eBay Plus thing

    • Send an email to Shopback Australia <[email protected]> instead. GYB mentioned it in one of his messages above

      • My emails to that address have been ignored

    • Hey Rogeroger, a great callout, I've asked our online team to remove the format requirements for claims with eBay Plus to stop this from being a block, should be fixed up shortly. We're also working on getting the breakdown that caused this fixed as a whole to get all folks credited. As always, shoot me a DM if you have any specific q's or want me to check on your claim, always happy to help.

    • Just put "not available". That's what I did and it worked just fine.

  • +1

What a terrible experience. Had to trawl through the comments to try and figure out how to find an order ID, which ended up being sending an email to Shopback Australia <[email protected]>.

Wasted 20 minutes to do all this. Would have missed it and lost $40 if I didn't remember to check. Still a chance the claim may not be successful

    • +2

Hey aaronaldo, sorry for the poor experience here, totally get the frustration and am happy to do what I can to help out. I've asked the online team to remove the format requirements for claims with eBay Plus that are causing the trouble. We are also working on getting the rest of those affected credited regardless and fix the breakdown that caused this issue in the first place. As always, I'm happy to check on individual accounts or specific queries, so reach out to me via DM if you have any other queries, happy to help.

      • +1

        Hey gyb,
Assume you haven't got through all your messages yet, but have DM'd you on same issue as everyone else, cashback not confirmed yet. Thx

        • +1

Not just yet, still working through the list :)
          Cheers!

Purchased 20/5, lodged a missing claim, status is still "calculating"
The reputation damage for SB on this one is huge!

    • +1

Agree. If this $40 gets rejected, I'm pretty sure I'll cash out and close my account.

Another useless email respond from SB:

    Hi ShopBacker,

Thanks for your patience, I have an update:
[eBay Plus] has just replied to our Missing Cashback ticket informing us that the appeal was successful!

This is great news as it means we'll be getting the commission to pass on as Cashback! I've already credited the Cashback to your account under the new entry, and you should now see it in your 'Lifetime Earnings' tab as “Pending”.

I hope this is all in order now. Do let me know if there is anything else we can do for you, thank you.
    Regards,

    Harry
    ShopBack Customer Care Officer

I still don't see the cashback ANYWHERE, don't even see a lifetime earnings tab?

Really getting sick of these generic emails saying they've done something when all they do is copy/paste replies without actually checking the account.

    • Hey mate, sorry for the frustration here! This email is indeed automated when claims are approved, the initial claim line will come through as "rejected" and a new line will be added in your cashback overview above it shortly after. It's just a quirk in our system that means it has to come through like that.

Depending on whether you're using our app or the website to look at your earnings, there should be a cashback overview under your account tab on the website, or you can tap the "Lifetime Earnings" box at the toip of the homepage on our app to see each line individually.

There might be a slight delay for it at this time due to the volume of claims for this one, so give it a day and reach out via DM if you don't see a change. Happy to get it sorted.

      • Thanks. Mine just got tracked 10 mins ago.

The new line was actually UNDER my missing claim, and appeared on the next page (due to how often I've used SB since signing up to eBay Membership).

        • still no tracking for me. :(

        • Does that mean your going to get paid or is that another hurdle you have to jump through ???

          • +1

@chrisie: It shows as pending, but at least it is there.

Says I can expect confirmation by 20 July 2022. Once confirmed, I can withdraw the $40.

            • -1

@CodeXD: I see said the blind man ………….

              • +1

@chrisie: I think this is the best you can get at this stage. Nobody will get their $40 approved straight away, you still have to wait as per the T&C. At least we are on the right track now.

    Mine still reports "Calculating" ???

    • I still have not had any positive news from "gotyourback" re the missing eBay Plus Subscription $40 Cashback purchased 20/05 @ 16:32 .

  • Just received my $40 cashback confirmation on the app! Thanks @gotyourback for sorting it out!

  • Still no tracking or mail from SB, used authorisation ID for missing and PayPal invoice ID as extra info, very frustrating

  • Have also DM'd as mine is still not tracking. lodged missing claims and it's showing as "Calculating" but no email or confirmation of this being tracked correctly yet.

  • I just got a tracking notification of $40 for eBay plus. I had lodged the missing cashback prior as per GYB's advice so I have another entry and it's still 'Calculating', which I'm guessing will be rejected at some point as what everyone else has reported so far.

When I lodged the missing cashback, I put "not available" on the transaction ID field so in case you're wondering, it doesn't really matter what you put in there.

@gotyourback - Thanks so much for your work mate!

  • Just got 1 notification for $40 tracking, Not a clue at all which account it is linked to

But I didnt get any email saying CB rejected, did however get email from CR saying PZ CB $10 approved

Now just hoping this $40 gets approved fully

    • +1

Now just hoping this $40 gets approved fully

If you check the store, approval timeframe is 60 days.

If you have it tracking in your account, I would just be thankful for that.

A lot of us (including myself) are not even at that stage yet.

      • Yup I totally get it, But again because of it being tracked at wrong date I got not a clue what account it is associated to.

Saves me from asking eBay to refund me on that account hopefully now.

        • If you don't know which entry links to which membership, you should get both of them to track initially. That would be the safest move.

    • If you’ve submitted an order number, it’ll show on the tracking in which it relates to

Mine shows the order number on the actual tracking on ShopBack

  • +1

@gotyourback you handled this soo well ! :)
Got my Cashback today, just needed that lil patience we lack soo much of thesedays.
I was annoyed too, but ShopBack was just overwhelmed by OZB.

  • Still nothing here, cashback not tracked. Reported 9 days ago. Followed up yesterday emailing Shopback with the eBay username and email address, because I provided the eBay order ID, but since read here that it's better to provide eBay username and email.

Received a very canned response today, nothing to do with the info I had provided, telling me I should wait until the investigation is completed, and not acknowledging that I had provided further info. I suspect it hasn't been read properly, let alone actioned.

I'll wait but don't have high hopes given the response I've received.

I just checked my Shopback account at 11.30pm and finally my $40 cashback is showing with a reference number. I have been a regular checker and not used my $20 voucher or $5 mthly discount, just in case I decided to try get a refund from eBay.

I did submit a missing cashback claim back around May 25, but I think this has added the cashback under its own processes.

Although an approval is still pending, I see absolutely no reason for it to not be approved and funded. Feeling relieved as a first time Shopback user :)

  • My cashback has finally been tracked. Thanks Shopback!

    • Mine too. Missing claim put though on the 25th (and DMed details to GYB). Heard nothing about its progress until an email just now saying it's tracked.

      • Me too, finally got an email and updated to taking $40. There is hope Afterall

  • Signed up on the 20th and cashback is now tracked. Thanks

    • Did you have to lodge a claim or contact GYB?

      • I lodged a claim and used invoice ID (from PayPal)

        • +1

Interesting! I did the exact same thing for my sign up on the 21st.
I guess I have no choice but to wait patiently forever.

    • Checked my Shopback cashback activity today , shows $40 as pending (was calulating before) with available by 19 Aug 2022 .
Purchased 20/05/2022 so I thought that cashback would be available by the 20/07/2022 as per T&C ?

      • +2

That is another thing we will have to chase up with @gotyourback.

It should be 2 months from the date of purchase ("Clam in 60 Days"), no?

  • Finally got reply on missing cash back, hope it goes ok n doesn’t get rejected

  • Mine didn't track like everyone else's. Need to lodge a claim and hope for the best.

    • +1

My claim is still under 'calculating' since the 24th May.
You'll be doing a fair bit of hoping

      • Same since the 22nd, and the date is incorrect.

      • Headache with this one, gotta lodge soon.

      • Finally just got my $40 credited just now. Under calculating since 24/05

  • Mine's tracked as $40 now and also received emails from [email protected] re: missing cashback claim and they too acknowledge it has been resolved.

Huge thanks to GotYourBack. Absolute legend!

    • is your cashback also available by August?

  • Got $40 updated, thanks GYB. at least they are listening our voice :)

  • +1

My $40 started tracking overnight (purchased on the 20/05). Thanks @gotyourback and the SB team.

  • Still waiting…

  • My claim is still under 'calculating' since the 26th May :(

  • Got my $40 tracked notification yesterday (purchased on 21st May).
Hopefully it will come through. Fingers Cross!!!

  • My mistake, not approved, just that the $40 has been assigned, no longer calculating. Still in a pending state awaiting validation but now it has an August deadline instead of July.

    • +2

Hey mate, I'm figuring out now with my team why some are tracking at 90 days instead of 60 days after purchasing. Will update as soon as I hear back and see if I can get this amended!

      • Still calculating here too (July)

  • Waiting……

  • :( still nothing for me as well

    • Still have your details on file with the team working on this mate, I assure you you won't get left behind!

  • Hi @GYB,

Mine is stuck at calculating as well.
Can you please make sure mine does not get left behind either.
    Thanks

    • Mine too still calculating

      • Hey there mates! Happy to check up on your claims to make sure that these definitely go through if they haven't already, shoot me a DM with your ShopBack email address as well as your eBay Plus email address if they're yet to be resolved so that I can chase this directly with eBay Plus.

    • Mine too! However GYB has asked for me to give it a few days so hopefully it should be updated soon.

    • I can certainly vouch for @gotyourback.
He does deliver what he promises.

For the record, my claim is still stuck at "Calculating".
He has asked for a bit more patience from us all as not every part of the tracking process is under his or SB's control.

    • +1

While I think GYB should've provided more regular updates and I agree this is a shambles, I think you're being hard on them with your choice of language.

I hope I don't encounter you in a park or I might get bitten.

    • Only had 1 purchase fail to track, put in missing cashback claim and was told the merchant refused to investigate so for good will they put 10 bucks into my accnt which was higher than the missing cashback.

      Just be patient.

      • Can you put in a good word for me I'd love this kind of service.

    • +1

Mate, I can vouch for GYB and my eBay Plus membership was tracked. Give it some time and if you’ve followed the requested steps from GYB to submit a missing cashback claim, I’m sure ShopBack and the team will take care of it

No need on that tone and language and your inappropriate negative vote if you haven’t followed the said instructions

  • Still the other account has not tracked yet,

Only 1 lot of $40 has tracked

    • If it's started tracking, perhaps you can take the neg off.
Also didn't you say you cancelled your second ebay plus account

      • Yes i got one of the two accounts refunded, But isn't it supposed to track both, and then fail on one. That's normally how the CB works with SB. The problem is the date tracked is of neither of the two accounts I signed up for, so not a clue what account has that $40 been related to

      • +1

If it's started tracking, perhaps you can take the neg off.

Even if the $40 is received, this deal is richly deserving of a NEG given the stress it caused everyone.

The best I can do is revoke my + vote.

    • If you’ve submitted an order number, it’ll show on the tracking in which it relates to

Mine shows the order number on the actual tracking on ShopBack

Also if you’ve cancelled one of your eBay Plus memberships, wouldn’t it be easier and save the time and effort for GYB and ShopBack and not track the cancelled account? As you can tell GYB has been flat out on the DMs lately

      • -1

        https://i.imgur.com/L8fS4Hn.png
This is what I see that order number (JUST NUMBERS) under eBay plus does not at all give me any clue, to which eBay account that $40 belongs to.

wouldn’t it be easier and save the time and effort for GYB and ShopBack and not track the cancelled account

Yes but the thing is that I dont even know that $40 tracked is for not cancelled account, I dont know if that $40 tracked is belong to account that was cancelled, If such was the case that $40 will be rejected after confirmation period. Then I dont see $40 for the other non cancelled account. I dont think GYB can help here either in telling me which account was $40 belonging to.

Have asked SB to ask the external team which eBay account does that $40 tracked belongs to.
This is all because of tracking at wrong date honestly. If the tracking date was correct, there wouldn't be a problem most likely.

        • Mate, the part that you highlighted off is the order number, which then you’ll be able to compare with the payment receipt that you received from eBay upon signing up

          • @BargainsGrabber: You mean Authorization code should be on Shopback's $40 tracked ??

If so that's not the case at all,

There is nothing in common between that number on Shopback website and the payment recipt PDF from eBay (of either of eBay plus accounts I signed up for)

            • -2

              @USER DC: Mate
Whatever tf you put in the order number section when you submitted the missing cashback claim is your order number that relates to the payment receipt email that you received from eBay

If you don’t remember what you put in, that’s on you

              • @BargainsGrabber: I think you dont get I submitted two missing reports so there is no way I can figure out what that mystery order no. on $40 tracked is belonging to.
My missing Cashback request is separate from that $40 tracked.
None of those CB requests have been rejected like others have reported here that they get email saying CB rejected, then $40 gets added. In my case no rejected CB email, just added $40 with a random ORDER number.

You had a wrong assumption that the number underneath is present on the payment receipt of eBay plus, I think.

If it was that easy SB wont be needing to contact any external team to find out which eBay account that $40 belongs to, or GYB would have had told me.

                • -3

@USER DC: Either you’re not understanding me.

Mate compare the whole tracking with the section you highlighted off with both emails that you received on your separate email accounts.

You would’ve entered an order number when you submitted the missing cashback claim. USE THAT and COMPARE with both emails you received from eBay Plus titled “Payment receipt to eBay Plus”

There wouldn’t be a case when ShopBack just magically added $40 without linking to an order number you submitted via missing cashback claim. That’s not how it works

                  • @BargainsGrabber: There is no correlation to that order number on SB tracking to payment receipt of any of the accounts I signed upto, or the email/authorization code I put on the the missing CB request (which have not been modified- which your comment suggests).

If it was that easy SB wont be needing to contact any external team to find out which eBay account that $40 belongs to, or GYB would have had told me.

  • Got notification that my $40 has been tracked! Thanks GYB

  • Has anyone been charged 98 cents of overseas transaction fee for joining ebay plus?

    • Yes, looks like majority who paid through PayPal copped the charge.

      • I paid through PayPal but accidentally chose linked amex card - no international transaction fee as result.

      • +1

It was worth it to pay that as PayPal transaction gives you sort of an invoice whereas ebay forgot to send a record of payment to anyone joining.
