Nice. Stackable with the $10 Perks voucher?

    • +9

      Unfortunately not.

Coupon cannot be used in conjunction with any other coupon offers.

    • Coupon cannot be used in conjunction with any other coupon offers.

You can try to stack them online and know the outcome soon.

      • Would this stack with the Commbank rewards?

        • +2

          Yeah it will.

      • +4

Tried it - "Better coupon applied" :(

    Not work for Asus laptop

    • +10

It’s because ASUS laptops are excluded from this deal (and the exclusions in OP’s description is currently incomplete):

Excludes Apple, Dyson, DJI, Miele, Asko, Games Consoles, Dell, HP & ASUS computers, phone & internet contracts, Dell Built to Order, Pre-Paid cards & Gift cards, Pre Orders, Extended Warranties, & Delivery. Coupon cannot be used in conjunction with any other coupon offers. Excludes Airport Locations.

EDIT: deal description now shows the correct list of exclusions.

    • This is great, someone go for it!

    • Just make sure you have another 3.5k handy if anything is wrong with the TV as the only thing that Sony will do is offer you a new unit at a discount.
They'll never learn if we keep buying their products.

  • +2

    Stack with this - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/701572

    happy days

now to figure out what to spend $75 on…..

    • Is this only in commbank app or in normal netbank?

      • +1

CommBank Rewards - needs an eligible card, and you need to be targeted. I've never once received a JB offer. Just Myer and Petbarn and loads of useless stores i'd never shop at lol

        • Sorry I have a rewards credit card, does that count? Where do I find the commbank rewards I mean?

          • +1

@JL1: Yeah it counts, just some offers are targeted - meaning different people receive different offers.

Launch the CommBank app and click on For You. You should see CommBank Rewards there (that’s what it looks like on iOS, should be in a similar place on Android).

            • @Graffin: Thanks! Had a look, no JB Hifi deals at all, sigh

Should be just enough for a single vinyl record.

Do JB Hi-fi usually have any EOFY sales or would this be a good time to pull the trigger on purchases I've been eyeing off?

I'm thinking of getting a camera.

    • +3

JB HiFi camera pricing is always high. If you have to buy from them get them to price match.

  • +1

    Doh…bought something this morning 😫

    • +3

Buy a new ones, return the new, unopened ones with the old receipt

      • +1

No stock at my local and already dispatched so I’ve paid for the shipping already…10% off would’ve saved me around the $3.98 shipping 😫

    • +23

Hand in ozbargain membership. Do not pass Go and do not collect $200.

    • +1

JB will sort you out with a refund .. no need for any complex refunds and rebuys.

      • +1

Not sure with promo code ??but worth trying

    • +2

JBHIFI does price protection themselves. No issue in just asking especially if you did an online order.

      • +2

Thanks for all the replies 😃…I ’m probably too lazy to bother. I’ve bought some more movies for $25 so saved $2.50

  • +2

Does this stack onto JB Hi Fi price match?

    • It might you could always try. I price matched an SD card and use the perk coupon no problem. But they has terms that it can't stack with other things.

    • +4

No. Made an account specifically to inform people of this.
I work in the JB direct call centre and we have all been briefed not to accept price matches with the 10% coupon.
Please do not call trying to do this as it wastes your time and ours

      • Do you accept price matches with the $10 perks coupon?

  • +3

So annoying how they exclude apple yet they do 10% off MacBooks every few months I’d love if this included MacBooks as I’m in market for MBP

    • +8

Patience my son. It will return like the sun in the morning. Not quite that soon but not long.

      • Sounds like you may have some inside information there haha , cheers mate ;)

        • +3

Haha .. same inside information as you .. they do it every 2 to 4 months.

I'm getting impatient as I'm getting older .. I would just go and buy now and enjoy :) .. probably should hand in my ozbargain membership licence soon.

    • People buy apple stuff regardless, never much discount on it

  • Can we use gift vouchers purchased through budget direct rewards?
Thinking of getting them to match LG C1 65” from appliance central $2870

$2453 with the 10% discount and a further 5% from vouchers

FYI this deal can be stacked with 10% off Ultimate Home eGift Cards sold through Giftz.com.au1, which are Visa gift cards that can be redeemed online at JB Hi-Fi (although only one Ultimate Home eGift Card can be redeemed per online transaction at JB Hi-Fi).

The maximum discount is $500 per customer, so you can only get a maximum of $5,000 worth of discounted gift cards through that deal.

    1. Giftz.com.au is operated by Blackhawk Network, the company that runs the Ultimate gift cards scheme in conjunction with Heritage Bank.

    • Have you done this? I always thought ultimate home cards were in-store only

      • +4

Yes, I’ve used Ultimate Home gift cards (the Visa version) online at JB Hi-Fi.

        • Ultimate Home gift cards (the Visa versions anyway) can be redeemed in-store or online at JB Hi-Fi. The same goes for Ultimate Home eGift Cards (which are the ones I’ve linked to in my comment above).

        • Ultimate Home gift cards (the EFTPOS version) can only redeemed in-store at JB Hi-Fi, but Blackhawk Network (the gift card issuer) starting phasing them out many months ago and I don’t actually remember the last time I saw one for sale at a brick & mortar retailer.

        • +1

          Awesome, thanks for the info!!

        • Thanks for all this info

So please correct me if I'm wrong:

There are two Ultimate Home gift cards using Visa, one physical and one electronic, with the only difference being the expiry date?

          • @timwog: Replying to myself as past edit time limit. Grr

I went to your 2 links and BOTH were to what I assume to be the same Ultimate Home egift card (despite the 2nd site referring to card swiping under 'Learn More'), with only the first link offering them at a 10% discount.

        • Ooh! Just seen this comment

          Will this stack work,

Washing machine for 777 on sale
Add online click frenzy code of 10% off
Buy 7 of these gift cards at 10% off
Pay online with them getting me an extra 70 off ?

        • Hi @wookieMonster, when enter credit card details, what should I put for Card Name ? thanks

      • They're e-gift cards …?

        • +2

I know i know.. I wasnt sure if they send like an electronic barcode to use in store lol

When spending lots of $$ I ask dumb questions just to be on the safe side :P

          • +5

@Pab23q: It’s better to ask dumb questions here (where one of us can help you out) rather than feeling like an idiot when you get to the front of the queue at a store, because you realise too late you’re not 100% sure how the card works. It happens.

FYI, Ultimate Home eGift Cards are Visa gift cards that you can add to your mobile wallet of choice (Apple Pay, Google Pay, Samsung Pay) to use in-store (or in Apple Pay’s case, online), or you can get the card number, expiry date and CVV2 associated with the eGift Card and enter it into the EFTPOS/Visa/Mastercard/AMEX/etc section of JB Hi-Fi’s online checkout. They operate on the Visa network, so JB Hi-Fi treats it like a Visa card.

Hot tip: the expiry date of an Ultimate (Visa) gift card is probably 12/29.

            • +1

@WookieMonster: 100% ! You rock. I hope the cookie gods are good to you Wookie Sir.

              Thanks again :)

              • +1

@Pab23q: No worries, if you ever have any questions about gift cards, feel free to send me a message and I’ll see if I can help out!

            • +1

@WookieMonster: Just bought an Ultimate Home
              Expiration 31/05/2025

              • @TanedaR: Good tip. It sounds like only the physical Ultimate gift cards use 12/2029 as the expiry date for purchases and adding it to mobile wallets.

            • +1

              @WookieMonster: worked for me!

Just purchased 6x lifx White to Warm Downlights using 10% storewide code and then a further 10% with the egiftcards bringing it down to $267.3.

Make sure you use the expiry date next to your card number and pin (in my case it was 05/25). I initially tried 12/29 but that did not work.

              Thanks wookie

            • @WookieMonster: i purchased a $1000 Ultimate Home eGift Card and trying to check-out a TV around $2000. the card isn't processing and is coming up with an error for insufficient funds. my initial plan was to top up the amount with my CC but it looks like it won't let me.. any tips?

    • Reckon we can use these for TGG commercial? They're a visa card at the end of the day…

    • +1

Max of $1000 per gift card

    • Anyone purchased on giftz.com.au successfully?
      Tried 2 cards, both declined.
My guess is it's not an Australian website.

      • worked fine with a nab visa card

        • I tried to use a card that I set to block international transaction. And get declined.

          • @TanedaR: strange, Nab shows it being processed locally - Milsons Point NSW.

            • @cycloneaussie: may be the bank flagged it as suspicious because it's a large sum and a first time transaction.

    • +1

      Worked for me instantly!
Bought a AUD675 eGiftCard for 607 or so
You do go through a verification process and then have to login to another website to see the actual card details (number, expiry and code)
But Have my confirmed JB order so happy days!
Oh BTW I used a ANZ Visa Credit Card

    • Seems interesting, am I correct that maximum per card is $1000?

Can you use these but regular shop back gift cards in the one transaction?

      • am I correct that maximum per card is $1000?

        Yes

Can you use these but regular shop back gift cards in the one transaction?

I don’t quite understand what you mean. Are you asking whether you can use Ultimate eGift Cards to purchase gift cards from ShopBack?

      • Did you mean 'and' instead of 'but'?

        • Sorry guys, poorly worded on my part.

Yeah just wanted to check that using this visa/gift card doesn't lock you out of using other JB gift cards in the one transaction?

          • @Osiris: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/12171287/redir

I gather not, as WM suggested doing precisely this as a method of getting past the $1000 limit.

          • @Osiris: You can redeem 1x Ultimate eGift Card in conjunction with an unlimited number of JB Hi-Fi gift cards and the coupon code in this deal on the JB Hi-Fi online store (assuming the items you are purchasing are not excluded from the coupon code deal).

Thanks! Scored a pair of Sony xm4 headphones for $316.

    I'm still waiting for $59 + $500 JB/Telstra deal

    • Thanks for letting us know.

  • Anyone know if this works with the JBHiFi hotline asking for a deal?

    • It should. The coupon field is normally open after they sms you a direct cart link.
