YouTube Premium via Argentina: ARS $119/Month (Single ~A$1.38/Month, Family ~A$2.07/Month, VPN Required only to Register)

7460

Resharing after 6 months for those unaware of the workaround to get YouTube Premium at a fraction of the normal price (with credit to HiDave for the original find). It's also around $0.27 cheaper per month now. Personally been using this for over 2 years and works flawlessly with 28 Degrees MasterCard (no fees). Stay safe, and enjoy :)

Very straightforward process:

  1. Use a VPN to connect to an Argentinian server (required only for registration).
  2. Open an incognito browser window.
  3. Sign up via the main link in this post (or here).
  4. If an Argentinian address is requested, use this link and Google the postcode.
  5. Pay with a card that has no foreign exchange fees.
  6. Enjoy the full benefits of YouTube Premium.

since I've gone premium, using someone else account without premium annoy me so much. Never realise how much time I'd wasted without premium

  • Trying to sign up back to Indian Youtube but while connecting indian VPN via Cyberghost, it shows me the currency in IDR not INR. tried on ipad and iphone but no luck.

    • Same price increase might happen in India as well?

i guess it is time to quit being an Argentinian?

    • Sure, if you wanna pay more?

      • Indian and Turkish will be cheaper next month right? isn't it time to switch?

        • You seem to answer your question? :)

So what's the best thing to do here - cancel subscription and wait a month until the price increases come into effect and then figure out who's the cheapest?

Have to follow this now as I got the same email

Looks like India is now the cheapest for individual plans after the price hike in Argentina and Turkey. For now it seems that there's no price hike in India.
Argentina: 119 ARS (~$1.23 AUD) increase to 389 ARS (~$4.04 AUD)
Turkey:16.99 TRY (~$1.46 AUD) increase to 29.99 TRY (~$2.57 AUD)
    India: 129 INR (~$2.48 AUD)

I will probably move to India after the next direct debit goes through. But it's still a 50% increase from what I am now.

Prices above is for the individual plan not the family plan. Family plan went from 179 ARS to 699 ARS

    • India also allows to pay subscription one year in advance (but not for student or family plans).

      • Thanks for pointing that out. Looks like the cheapest individual now for those that subscribes for a year. 1290 INR (~$24.84) = $2.07 per month

        • Should switch over to from Arg to India and pay the year in advance…. if that easy enough to do.

Do we know if there's anyway yet tp.pay for premium using rewards credit?

        • As I remember India is a bit difficult to subscribe.

What about the family prices @stan86?

      • +7

        Family Prices below:
Argentina: 179 ARS (~$1.86 AUD) increase to 699 ARS (~$7.26 AUD)
Turkey:29.99 TRY (~$2.57 AUD) increase to 59.99 TRY (~$5.14 AUD)
        India: 189 INR (~$3.64 AUD)

        • just wondering how to move from arg to tur? thanks a lot

  • Pretty big increase for the locals lol - so who we jumping ship too?

    • suppose india will increase as well. tur might be a good choice.

      • See if we can subscribe for 1 year.

  • Not sure why the family sub doesn't work for annual billing.
In Turkey it only lets me do annual for individual.

Anyone want to try this method for switching from Argentina Family to India Family and report back if it works? And if you had to be connected to Argentina or India VPN at any stage during the process?

      would also like to know

I would assume this method would be the way to go for individual plans too? I'm not very happy in Argentina so I'm now looking to move to India this arvo.

  • Wow, lucky my next billing date is 20th November, have an extra month to decide which country I'm going to move to 😁
