I got the Samsung Series 6 40 inch (UA40ES6200M) LED TV from Harvey Norman last night for $1040. They basically price matched a previous deal by an online store on Ozbargain (expired now), no questions asked. The cheapest I saw for this other than this was $1099.99 at Costco and no other major store including JB Hifi, Good Guys, Bing Lee was ready to price match down to even 1100. In fact, the Sydney City Harvey Norman also didnt agree to price match it. The only disadvantage here was that they didnt have any in stock and expecting it in 1-2 weeks. :) I didnt mind waiting for the deal. Hope it helps someone else as well.

    Costco has it for $1099 when it first came out, a month ago?
    And they offer life time warranty while you are a member.

    good price but shouldn't be hard to "negotiate" similar within major cities. I have one on order at TGG for $999.

      Can you please post the receipt? I tried to "negotiate" in Sydney but except these guys, no one else even agreed to price match costco's 1100.

      doesn't surprise me but was it a straight purchase or did you have to buy any additional warranty/accessory etc.
