They kept asking me for more and more weeks of payslips. Ended up having to send through like 10 payslips even though the first ones I sent clearly stated I'd already earnt shitloads.. Absolute nightmare

      • Had mine approved in a day. The application asked for 3 months of payslips which is a bit more than normal yeah, but as long as you give them the three months of payslips then no issue I think.

  • Anyone has trouble submitting the application? Have used the app link for extra point so am an existing customer, put through all info (have tried twice), but unsuccessfully load at the end of it?

    • Happened to me. Once I switched to Edge browser, it works fine.

  • +3

ANZ must be the tightest lender out of them all. I've never had an issue with credit cards anywhere else except these idiots.

Just a reminder to all this stacks with this deal https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/697682

Complimentary International & Domestic Travel Insurance (Now with COVID Cover)

    • +1

Don't forget the two lounge pass as well.

      • @nightelves Where?

        • You see it under the Enjoy even more feature heading

          • @nightelves: Thx. I hope they approve my card before I travel.

            • @azm: Yeah this card is good to keep for travel insurance with covid cover

              • @nightelves: But you have to buy air tickets with this card in order go get a coverage?

                • @azm: Yes $500 spend on any travel expenses I think.

          • @nightelves: Might be a silly question but where do I find this heading to request the lounge pass? I'm logged onto the anz rewards page on my phone though but I've been trying to search for awhile!

            • @xtngo: I had to call ANZ to get mine.

            • @xtngo: On the promo page:

Offer only available to ANZ Frequent Flyer Black account holders. Account holders may request no more than two Qantas Club Complimentary Invitations in any 12 month period by calling the ANZ Personal Concierge on 1300 580 765.

I was not a ANZ customer and already applied this with 130,000.. Any chance I argue to get the extra 30000 points?

    • +1

Yes, call the ANZ CEO and organise a meeting.

    • -1

      Zero

    • -4

Its actually a legit question. But a bunch of losers neg it down and a lack of imagination person made so super boring joke. Look at people at Ozbargain these days..

  • Does anyone know with the QFF points, I had the NAB card recently, can I do this and get the points? I know there's a 12 month rule somewhere but is it 12 months on the same card, or 12 months since I had a QFF card bonus?

    • +3

NAB and ANZ different, nothing stopping you from getting the points

      • Yeah, wasn't sure if the terms were on the bank or the QFF side. I couldn't find anything in the ANZ T's & C's

  • +3

For those wondering about getting points for points club
When I apply for the ANZ 160k offer, it credit to my QFF in 2 transactions, 100k + 60k

So it will not exceed the 120k limit per transaction to point club

Anyone know if ANZ is still a pain to apply for a CC for? No other bank apart from ANZ asks me for payslips. I also had to provide rental income statements last time.
Both NAB and Citibank just approved it online.

    • Is it really that much of a pain?

      • I think it was mostly last time due to Covid they took so long to process my application they asked me for more payslips. And then I had to provide rental income statements plus last year's tax return.

    • +1

All of my applications have asked for payslips. It's pretty standard.

      • NAB, Citibank and from memory Amex Qantas just all approved online. Do not remember having to upload payslips or anything. It is just ANZ kept coming back and asking for more after the payslips. Then it was rental income statements and then it was my tax return.

    • +1

Took about 2 days to get it approved, from initial application incl payslips on Wednesday evening, someone called and approved on Friday

    • +1

Wait until you apply at St George, Bank SA and Bank of Melbourne.

      • I was considering opening up a St George account and then getting their free cc with 60k points…

        • +1

I just did this, although chose the 100k points (not qff) with free Kayo basic for a year.
Sold a kayo slot. Application was smooth as butter.

  • Is it confirmed that exisiting customer bonus points is expired? Won't bother signing up for a savings account and just go for the CC instead.

    • 160k is still showing in the app

    • It’s free to open up a savings account. Worth the effort. And yes still shows 160k bonus in the app.

      • Yeah but when you click apply, it drops to 130,000 :(

  • Just wondering with the eligibility of this - I know you can't have held one of these cards in the last 12 months. But does anyone know if this also includes an "additional card holder"? E.g if my partner is an additional card holder on my existing anz credit card, can he sign up for this and be eligible for the offer?

    • +1

Definitely can. Its nice to be able to cycle thru these cards using partners like that.

      • Awesome, thanks!

  • Possibly a stupid/simple question… But do I need to create a Qantas frequent flyer account to claim these points? It costs $100

  • +1

Signed up for a saver account last month to get the 160k deal, met the requirements this month and had the points through within a fortnight and to my Qantas account shortly after, pretty painless and now my next two flights to Japan are covered once they re-open (plus the card's insurance actually covers COVID/pandemics which is great).

    • That's really quick!. Still waiting on my points.

      • how long does it take to get your card?

  • Is there an "un-official" minimum income to get the black?

    • thought it was always 75k
anyway, it can't hurt too much to try.. don't be afraid of rejection ;)

  • Do you know when this offer is expired? I have just applied NAB black thus need to wait to apply again. Thanks

    • +1

This is a limited-time only offer that may be withdrawn or changed at any time without notice.

  • When do the points get credited? If I spent $3000 on the card in the first few days, will it work that month? Or do you have to wait three months and then its credited?

  • Anyone know when the 160k bonus will end? I still have a few months left in a card and wanted to use that up first.

    • +1

try reading just two posts up you lazy so-and-so ;)

      • haha thanks, I just came back to it after a couple of days and didn't read all the other posts. One of these when we feel like it. Might see if I can hold out for a bit. I'm sure it will come up again.

    • I logged in and I'm being offered 130,000 so I don't know WTF

  • +2

Applied last Friday and somehow got a rejection via sms and email today. I'm doubling the minimum income but with a few mortgages with rental income (positive gearing). Not sure how they're accessing it

  • Will rental bond or first months rent count as eligible spend? (provided real estate accepts cc)

    • Paid rent via Beem and it counted.

      • Copy thanks

      • How did you do that? I'm trying to make a BPAY payment and it's saying that biller doesn't accept payment type.

        • Might depend on your biller then. Mine accepts CC.

        • Some don't accept credit card at all

        • +1

You can try Sniip. Fee applies.

  • What's the a average turn around on this?

I've put through request but it's been like 4 business days. Normally they are quicker right?

    • I called them to 'check my documents had been received'. Approved on that call.

      • Which number you call? I might get on to them today

        • +1

Just 133333. Speak to credit card applications

    • Was approved after 1 business day.

  • The offer is now 100,000 points with 30,000 bonus if the card is held for longer than 12months.

    • I'm looking forward to arguing with them when it said 160,000 when I applied.

      • you have screenshots of the application so it should be fine

  • Was the 160k via the app has to be an existing ANZ account holder with no ANZ credit card at the time? If not why would you have the app in the first place?

I understand that they dropped the QFF down recently, on both PC (website) and App (per other users' comments)

    • If not why would you have the app in the first place?

Free ANZ Saver account. Many open these accounts purely to get the first year free on credit cards.

      • thanks Bohn.

Good info to know. I got accepted for the 130k QFF application (via PC application) already but next time im gonna get the Saver account going before applying for the ANZ CC.

  • Anyone shed any light on how I can use Bpay with this card as an eligible purchase? Beem and Sniip not allowing payment via Bpay to the biller :(

  • Does anyone have a screenshot of the 130,000 bonus points on sign up? Looks like they've changed it to 100,000 bonus points and 30,000 if you stick around for a second year.

I applied and got my card in Mid-June so hoping they honor the 130,000, but would like a screenshot to show them just in case.

    • I have a screenshot I am not willing to share (yet) until I get my points confirmed.

If they start spreading the screenshots around they might try denying it or something but bookmark me - I'll get my card in the mail in next few days and I'll put 3k$ through it easily within 6 weeks

  • Anyone received their points yet?

  • Can anyone confirm how long it took once you achieved the spend, it took for points to be credited? And also how long for passes to be logged to account?

    • Lounge passes appeared in my account after 5 days.

  • 2 weeks after I requested lounge passes be added to my QFF, they still aren't added even after logging a ticket with Qantas.

  • Waiting for cashback and points. Neither has came in 3rd statement.

    • have you reached out to ANZ yet?

    • Let us know how you go, I'll be checking mine in about 2 weeks, fingers crossed. I've put through 7 grand.

      • I've received my points
Signed up end of June, met the target end of July and received the points 11/8

        • I don't actually HAVE a Qantas frequent flyer account, to my knowledge :/

So I'm going to have to sign up for one and tell ANZ I think.

          Thanks for reply too

        • xtngo, so the points came after 2nd statement?

          • @timhn: Yep after the second statement!

  • There's a $99 joining fee? for Qantas frequent flyer?

    edit:
All good, found a link to sign up free for some reason!
