      • Is that a bad thing?

Also Telstra did not process my order: Thanks for placing an order with us today. Unfortunately, we're unable to proceed with your order right now as we need to physically see your ID.

        • Well. It depends. Normally too many credit enquiries, esp in a short time period, is not a good thing.

  • Whoop just bought an Iphone 13 pro.. at checkout you need to enter your driver license for ID verification but overall it's pretty simple! :D

  • Is there a way to pick up the phone or does it have to be delivered?

    • +1

I dont see option for pick up when I check out

  • Logged in, but can't see the cheaper 128GB iPhone 13…… advice ?

    • Cant see $999. anyone else facing the issues?

    • +2

As per above, shows as $1349 until you go to the next screen and it drops to $999.

      • Nope. Can't continue if buying outright. What the ?? Help ?

        • Are you logged in using Telstra ID?

    • discount in checkout

  • does office works have a phone line you call to get a price match like JB does?

    • yeah just call their customer service line, just have to wait till business hours however.

      • awesome, will do that. im strongly hoping JB comes in clutch as my local OWs don't have stock for it.

      • Contact their general line or your local store line?

        • Should have been clearer, local store line you were aiming to purchase from.

  • +1

    discount happens in checkout

  • +5

I got "Something went wrong" twice. Unsure what is wrong…

    • Been getting the same error multiple times too, desktop and mobile

      • +1

Are you using American Express? After 4 tries, I used Mastercard and it went through successfully

        • +1

Yeah I had the same experience with AMEX. It finally went through with my VISA CC

      • Probably site is overloaded. Keep trying, try different browser or an app if desktop was not successful so far.

What the (profanity) is this shit, gave my driver’s license and agreed to credit check for my 13 pro order placement and it’s asking for ID in person at a store. What a joke

    • +1

I tried drivers license three times with no luck. I then tried my passport and worked first time.

      • Same. I kept getting an error you can't use this ID.

        • happened to me as it had been used on my boost account

    • Me too. Useless.

    • I just bought one from the Telstra store, they couldn't get my license to scan in the store, said it was a new system that wasn't working very well.

  • Thanks so much, also just ordered!

  • 1:03AM and no Black 256gb in stock, backorder….

  • Anyone know how strict this delivery ID stuff is? Wanting to order for my sister in regional VIC but can only verify with my ID.

  • Thanks - after spending an hour on the phone to Telstra earlier today to resolve Telstra ID issues, successfully purchased 3x iPhone 13 Pro tonight.

FYI: The discount doesn't show on the Product page, it only appears after you hit the blue "Next" button to add it to the Cart - then the discount shows up.

  • +1

    1am alarm gang.
    Order complete.
As above discount doesn’t show until in your cart. Bed now.

  • +1

    Thanks OP! Awesome deal!

  • person on apple live chat said sales team over the phone can price match, but im not sure if they meant up to 10% or full match.

    • make sure they are from apple au

  • I'm getting an error saying I have to have a plan to purchase an iPhone, but the FAQs said you just have to have a Telstra ID which I registered for. Anyone else having this issue?

    • I just scrolled down past it to the Next button

  • +2

Did someone manage to verify through driver's license?

    • +1

      yes

    • Use chrome! works fine. Order placed

    • Nope. I tried my drivers licence 5 times, gave up and used my passport. The passport worked first go. I'm using chrome on windows10.

  • Thanks OP just got one Iphone 13 128g through a friends account

  • +1

I was under impression I only need telstra ID without the active plan. Guess I was wrong?

    got an error during checkout
"To make this purchase, you need to have a Telstra plan."

I have purchase a $2 Pre-Paid SIM Starter Kit yesterday. I am not sure I am qualified even if I activate once I receive it (if it arrives today)

    • Me too, despite it saying "Do I have to be a Telstra customer to shop Telstra Day? You don’t need to be a Telstra customer, but you do have to have a Telstra ID to checkout at the store for Telstra Day." in the FAQs.

      • +1

        Purchased outright. No plan.

        • just an activated $2 sim?

        • Have you got an existing Telstra plan, or just a Telstra ID with no active accounts?

        • It does say:
If you already have a service with us, you can buy outright without adding a plan.

          Does $2 sim count?

      • I got the same problem. I have a telstra id but no active service and it won't let me purchase the phone 😢

  • Looks like no luck this time for Telstra plus users.

    • Why do you say that? I was able to order no issues

      • Telstra plus is showing higher price. I want to get it in instalments and I want to use my points.

        • You need to go to the next page to show the lower price. Not sure about points tho

  • Ordered one 13 iPhone pro.. thanks OP

  • Anyone have experience with Telstra deals and shipping times? (I'm in Sydney Metro)

    • +1

They use startrack. Should be very quick if they have the stocks.

    • Ordered just before 1am, and I got sms saying order dispatched at 9am by startrack. Quicker process than I expected.

    • Same area. Got SMS at 11 informing that it's ready for pickup so it hasn't left Telstra warehouse yet but it's been packed. Ordered at 1am. ETA is tmr.

      • Was notified delivery would be today so I left a note at the door with my number saying i'm home in case I don't answer because there's construction going on outside. Driver showed up and left a card.

  • Boost user, already had my TelstraPlus ID working, order placed, thanks OP

  • Are these locked to Telstra?

    • +1

      No they are unlocked

  • Continue to get "Something went wrong" after entering credit card and submitting for payment.

Anyone get through successfully with an AMEX as the credit card payment?

    • +1

i had same issue. Had to use different card.

    • +1

As above people used Mastercard without an issue after failing with Amex.

      • +1

        😣

Yeah ended succumbing to using MC, payment went through

  • +3

just spoke with officeworks store who said no because you need a telstra ID… anyone had any luck or can share a receipt of an officeworks store price beat?

    • I just successfully price matched a 128GB pro at Officeworks Bayswater, last one left though

      • Can you pls post receipt as proof of purchase? Others might be able to use it…

        • +3
          • @emaydedewhy: That store “made a mistake”

No explanation on why you can price match Amazon prime but not this…

          • @emaydedewhy: Could someone guide me on how to use this receipt. I called local OW and they said they are not price beating the telstra deal.

            • @Techefy: If they are saying no I would let it be. They are already fully aware by now. I tried my luck at 8am when the store opened and they were happy to do it until they found out you need a Telstra account

    • +3

      No, at least not yet…

O/W Newcastle West said “no” (in person) due needing Telstra membership - orders from above.

O/W Kotara just called back. They just received an email from their area manager who’s said “no” as well, believing you have to go on at least a pre-paid plan (wrong).

Let’s see what Warners Bay O/W says… not expecting different.

      • +1

Thanks for trying the Newy stores..

      • No deal at Officeworks Capalaba as you have to be a ‘member’ of Telstra..

      • +1

Just received text notification from O/W central, updating yesterdays advice… no pricebeat, due to not needing a Telstra ID to shop at O/W (ie. conditions of purchase aren't the same).

        But, but… Amazon, Costco, etc… yes I hear you…

        • Pretty sure OW doesn’t pricematch Costco..
          And only certain Amazon stores..

    • Tried 2 OWs in Melbourne inner suburbs, both said no price match.

  • Can you use Afterpay or PayPal??

    • I didn't see payment options other than credit card.

    • I don’t see those options when I check out

    • I didn't see those options either, just a debit or credit card.

  • Does anyone know if you can use the Telstra Plus points to pay for the phone?

  • Telstra team over phone refuse to price match, as they have been advised by price match team on this deal…

Just to avoid "Credit Check" with Telstra, does anyone have luck with JB or Other retailer ?

  • When you buy outright online, have people received a proper gst tax invoice from Telstra? The only reason I ask is that I have had problems previously with boost/Telstra re tax invoices for gst.

    • +1

I had to log in and dig around the my account section, but yes I found a PDF Tax Invoice with GST component.

  • Officeworks Albury did not price match. They had not heard about it but said since you need a Telstra ID they could not do it

    • Can i call and check with local ow or do i have to visitfor price match

  • +1

I have just got Optus online to match an iPhone 13 256gb

    • What's the benefit of buying from Optus vs Telstra?

      • On a plan not outright so we can Data share across the family

    • Do you need to buy an optus plan

      • I wanted it on a plan so not sure if they'll do outright

  • Credit check kills the deal.

    • +1

Maybe try going to a Telstra store

    • There is no credit assessment if you are purchasing the handset outright.

      • They are asking credit check even for outright purchase
