The Grogu ones were tempting but I decided in practicality Space Mickey would be the safer bet. I doubt the blue would hide stains as well as the black blend. Space Mickey also looks relatively normal though I wouldn't wear it outside it may be passable than a lighter colour. I have a Bonds oversized sherpa style hoodie and that seems to follow the same footsteps as these but with that you can wear it outside as it's not as long as the Oodie to look like a complete poncho (though it is long). The Bonds one obviously doesn't cover the legs which get cold from time to time so hopefully this fills in the gap. Plus I see the Oodie knock offs at Australia Post being sold for $49 or thereabouts and I always think of buying one if it was ever discounted to say $30 so to buy the original at $40 is a pretty good deal.
I don't know how original these are though, remember the Snuggie? People were paid out like looking similar to cultist wizards but they seemed even better than the Oodie with the extra robe like length and ability to completely caterpiller yourself. Doubt it was made out of the same level of material/warmth which explains the popularity of the Oodie, tbh the Oodie should make extra long versions as that would be the best of both worlds (maybe not for some but for me being a reclusive single who has not been on a date in years - others and couples may prefer the shorter length of the Oodie for ahem easy access while netflix and not so chilling).
Also regarding the Taz one, hopefully some of that money goes towards the Tasmania Devil wildlife fund or whatever the charity/non-profit is, I remember reading Warner Bros agreed to pay some cut for licensing the image to the Tasmanian government which then passed it or still passes it on to them but sadly for me a bit too light and would not stand up to me fiending on food, making a mess (just like Taz).

I know people love these but for what it’s worth I got 4 in the last two ‘2 for’ deals and we have had to send 2 back so far and probably soon a third. 2 just weren’t sewn properly around the hood area and came apart within days and the third is coming apart in multiple areas. They have been good about this. We got 2 replacements after mailing them back for no cost but I wouldn’t buy from them again

What is the best way to wash these?
Hand or machine wash in cold water. If you want to best preserve it's cuddliness and softness, they recommend hand wash only. Details can be found on their website under care instructions.
washing machine in what setting? will not make all the inside things kind of wool, falling out ?

For $40 it seems good price, but original price is a lot. Not sure why these are so popular, lots of people saying its very warm. But why not just wear the warm clothes you already have
and during summer, just go around naked…. even cheaper…..
We got a cheapie of Amazon to try out as we didn't think the hype was worth it, we where wrong! Haven't had to put the heater on this very, very cold winter. And super comfy.

bought the blue star wars one. was a tough choice for me because the designs are all kinda underwhelming except the tas devil one, which wouldve been an instant buy. shame i didnt see it before it sold out. lol at the ma15+ rick and morty one with the sex bot.

I found the material to be pretty good on these oodies, but the stitching not so much… already got a few threads coming loose on mine.
I wear mine on most cold days, I find them great for working from home and watching TV, but it gets in the way when cooking, washing up, and going to the toilet.
Much like most comments here, not worth at full RRP but $40 delivered is pretty good!
When did you buy yours? Product reviews seem to indicate Oodie changed manufacturers start of 2022 and quality is not as good as it once was. Used to be made in Vietnam but now made in China.

My thoughts
- it looks pretty well made
- it is fleecy, however I could see that previous ones might be more fleecy
- the seams look intact.
- the material feels soft and not scratchy
- the thing is enormous on my five foot frame.
- I don’t think it is practical for much more than lounging, or standing, around. But that is what I got it for.
- the gathers at the wrist look well made
- this is the China version. You need to hunt around for all the labels.
- it is, very, warm.
- the Grogu characters are clear and very cute.
- it might take days to dry naturally in winter.
- it smells a bit chemically but it doesn’t stink.My concern would be how inflammable this is given it is polyester. I would be careful with kids around camp fires. I can’t find any label on how inflammable it is.
Overall, for forty dollars, this is good value. I wouldn’t pay $130 for it.
I’m happy to post pictures if people want them.

@try2bhelpful: Pics would be great! some of the stitching looks a bit low quality, and its definitely thinner and less fleecier than an OG one we had from a couple years ago. Seems they've cheapened on the manufacturing.

@try2bhelpful: 3 of 4 of mine arrived today (not sure where the 4th one is even though it says both orders have been delivered so am following up.)
Like you, one of mine has a chemical type smell (the green grogu one) and am rewashing in cold water.
Other than that, the build quality of the 3 is pretty good from what I've seen so far. Definitely not lacking in fluff.
@try2bhelpful: I also received mine today (got the DC mini and this is my first oodie). Quality is reasonable but not as thick as expected. I do feel warm but I also have 2 layers underneath so not sure I would call it super warm.
The chemical smell does bother me, but could be my sensitive nose. Will pop it through a wash (as recommended to restore fluffiness) and hopefully it goes away.
RRP is way overpriced, $40 is about right.
@Craze: I would have, at least, one other layer underneath to try to avoid perspiration smells. You don’t want to be washing this every few days.
