It also stacks with the current Apple gift card deal at Woolworths that ends at the end of today, where you will have 10% of the Apple gift card’s value returned to you in the form of Everyday Rewards points.1

    1. The 10% calculation assumes you opt to redeem your Everyday Rewards points for Everyday Rewards Dollars (either through Money Off Shopping or Bank For Christmas), as 2,000 Everyday Rewards points are converted into $10 Everyday Rewards Dollars.

  • iPad removed from the cashback inclusion? OP did U mean removed from exclusion?

    • Yes oops

      • +1

        Thanks OP!
I cancelled my earlier order and placed a new one! Perfect timing!

  • AOC store is eligible?

    • EPP stores are always excluded.

    • kinda curious as well since if it works, the melb uni AOC store + cashback would be nice

    • In one of previous higher cashback thread someone bought from aoc and got cashback too. I don’t know how they did it though (possibly with shopback you can click on the browser add on).

  • “ Cashback is eligible on purchases paid with gift cards, and eligible on the purchase of Apple refurbished products”

OP can we really stack with Apple gift cards??

  • would it be worth waiting for this year’s iPad?

    • no

    • +2

Every other iPad has switched to USB-C so if that's important to you it might be worth waiting.

  • Let's say I want to buy an iPhone worth $1,150 and I have 10 x $100 Apple Gift Cards, how can I use these 10 gift cards to pay for the first $1,000 and pay the remaining $150 with an ANZ debit card? I vaguely remember I can use up to 8 Apple gift cards in one transaction.

and would Cashrewards give me the total cash back of $1,150 x 10% = $115? Thanks for anyone who can suggest.

    • +2

I’m not sure about the first part, but note this Cashback is capped at $100 per member, so you couldn’t get $115 cashback regardless of how you paid.

    • +3

afaik the 8 card limit is on using the cards individually at the time of purchase, so instead you just redeem the cards onto your apple account and then you can load at least 10 (I've loaded that many on when I bought my MBP earlier in the year) and then pay using the apple account balance plus whatever extra on a card.

    • Thanks all.

  • Does anyone know if you pay with apple credit if it will track?
(as I have loaded some cards onto my account)

    Thx.

    • Yes

  • Does this work with education store?

    • My bad just read the op again

  • Understand that proof of eligibility for AOC is not required, what about education store?

    • I’ve never been asked for verification, and always get my stuff through the Edu store as it’s the only way to get a discount on CTO.

    • What is the difference between

AOC AU Australian Education Union Store (https://www.apple.com/au_edu_5000447/store)

      and

      Education Store (https://www.apple.com/au-hed/store)

The AOC (Apple On Campus) AU Australian Education Union Store (https://www.apple.com/au_edu_5000447/store) is a special portal where Australian Education Union (AEU) members can purchase a range of Apple products at a discount when compared with the regular Apple Online Store.

In other words, only AEU members are officially permitted to purchase from that special portal. Having said that, I have not heard of Apple ever asking you to verify your eligibility for purchasing through the portal by asking for proof of your AEU membership.

The Apple Education Store (https://www.apple.com/au-hed/store) is a portal where the following groups of people can purchase a range of Apple products at a discount when compared with the regular Apple Online Store:

        • A full time or part time student aged 18 or over with a current student union card or student identification card and studying at an accredited Australian university or other Apple approved institution
        • A lecturer or staff member at an accredited Australian university
        • A teacher or lecturer working at an Apple approved and registered education establishment within Australia.

In other words, only eligible persons are officially permitted to purchase from the Apple Education Store. Having said that, I have not heard of Apple ever asking you to verify your eligibility when making purchases through the online Apple Education Store by asking for proof of your employment or your student status. However, if you are trying to initiate a purchase in-store (not a click-and-collect order), Apple will probably want to see proof of your employment or your student status before they sell you an item at Apple Education pricing.

In terms of prices, the AEU store is usually a little cheaper than the Apple Education Store. However, if you are loading a Mac with upgrades (as an example), it may be slightly cheaper to purchase through the Apple Education Store rather than the AEU store. You should always compare the pair on the purchase you're looking to make!

Is it possible to use cashback with the below store and how?

    https://www.apple.com/au_edu_5000447/store

    • When you search for Apple in the Cashrewards app, you select it. Before your click "Shop Now", scroll down the page and you will see the Apple Store for Education.

      • its not the same pricing as the UniMelb AOC store that he linked. Is there anyway to use the UniMelb AOC store?

  • Can u buy Airtag n get cash back ?

    • It's not listed as an exclusion so i would consider part of the cashback

      • Thanks

  • Is it worth waiting for the new iPad around September or should I get this?

    • -1

Usually new iPads are not included in cashback deals. Can you spend the extra money?

  • +1

Bought two ipads yesterday but Cashback hasn’t been tracked yet. Usually it’s very instant with CR

    • It’s probably because Apple tracks and reports cashback differently compared with most retailers on CR.

Important: Cashback tracks to member accounts between 2-7 days after you receive confirmation from Apple that the product has been shipped.
