Just built this in pcpartspicker. Totalled $1880. Exact parts.

    • +2

PC part picker doesn't always find the cheapest prices though.

      • +1

PCPartPicker + staticICE is a pretty solid combo for searching.

        • Sometimes there's better deals on Ebay and Amazon, which don't show on either on them, so I end up looking on staticice, amazon, and ebay.

  • 750G PSU

    Typo?

    • +4

G for gold? And maybe forgot the W

      • Thank you, makes sense — hadn't considered that. Is <wattage>G an existing shortening? I've never seen it before.

      • +8

        750 Gigawatts!! Great Scott!!

      • Made in Ghina

  • Looks solid, good heft. Don't OC your 3080 to the hilt after a few years.

Shame I'm no longer a box buyer.

    • +1

Not sure much heft will be seen if you look at the motherboard, PSU, and RAM.

      • +1

if that PSU hasn't set your house on fire within 2 weeks…

  • +1

I'm out of the loop and haven't looked at pc builds in years, have prices normalised?

Are these builds ok for photography and video processing?

    • +3

      Cryptomining crash

    • It's a beast for the price unless you're a serious professional. I'd say you'll need a lot more than the standard storage for HD video and photo files though.

      • +5

Most people in general would want more than the default storage here IMO. Still a great price for a 3080 build.

    • If normal price mean rrp then yes, this build is cheaper than u buy each part at their own RRP.

    • Photography and video processing need more cpu power than gpu generally

      • Does this build have enough for 4K video processing?

        • Id like to see way more ram for that. You would need probably 32Gb minimum RAM, up to 128Gb for that. And a better processor.

  • +7

The ozb pic shows the slightly more expensive case with components that aren't part of the deal.

  • Go Red team!

  • Best deal I've seen in a while.

  • +2

Hi OP, have you thought about doing a mATX deal? I have a Meshify C Mini case atm.

    • +3

Definitely thought of, love MATX, finding suitable quantity as always the challenge

      • Yes I love the compactness. I'm switching from Intel - I pre-ordered a 5600 off Amazon and will have to find a mobo (and clean install W11) but happy to cancel if you have a discounted build in the future, seeing as it'd probably be more convenient and an upgrade from my 1660S :)

    • Their stock setup is a mATX board anyways. Just ask them to ship components separately and buy your own case.

      • Didn't even notice - tbh I don't know enough about PC building to know. It's been a couple years. Thanks!!
Probably best I just keep what I have as I'd only need to swap GPU, CPU and mobo.

        • Make sure your PSU has the correct power cables, depending on how old it is it might not be suitable for newer gen stuff.

          • @ATangk: It's an EVGA GQ 600W

            • +1

@Techie4066: Buying good parts in the past means you can save a bit in the future. Should be good to go with that, as long as you're buying mid spec GPU :)

              • @ATangk: Great, and I did get it significantly discounted (at the time) in a 2 minute flash sale :P

              • @ATangk: Just checked, the 3080 would bring my PC's total TDP to 498W. Without overclocking or any additions that should be fine right?
Edit: looks like a 3060/3070 would be ok going by Nvidia's recommendations.

                • +1

@Techie4066: 498 is getting close to the limit. a 3070 would be more comfortable.

  • Hi OP, do you have any white color build deal?

  • Hi all - the code shows up as being invalid?

    • It worked for me copying from coupon code box and deal post?

  • Will this be available late August? As I will be moving soon and want to use it after that.

  • +2

Luke, can you please do a system with a plain case

  • "Standard Fan CPU Cooler" Will this be good enough for light gaming?

    • CPU fan, no issues. Gaming will be using the GPU

  • +3

    Hi
Is there any deal for mATX build

    • I'm interested too!

  • Now that's a decent deal!

Now we just need an OzB'er to find a discounted copy of windows because I've had little luck finding one.

    • you can use your windows from any past pc or laptop

  • -2

Standard Fan CPU Cooler [120mm Liquid Cooler Upgrade Recommended For Gaming Use] + $99

This is marketed as a gaming PC but you need to pay extra $99 for the liquid cooler for gaming - No deal!

The included case is ugly too so you have to upgrade for another $99!

    • a 120 AIO is not that much better than the stock.

    • +5

Suppose we need to take this on a (puts on sunglasses) ….case by case basis.

    • +1

I agree. If you add quality case and fan, this becomes quite expensive.

      • And also the power supply. Very expensive indeed

      • -4

"If you spend more money it becomes more expensive".

Check out the big brain on these brads.

The deal is a lower price than buying the parts out there at their respective best prices and assembling it yourself, with no form of warranty. The complaints are completely and unbelievably unwarranted.

    • Stock cooler is adequate if a case has good airflow

  • -1

I need something that can run Cyberpunk 2077 in 8k with maxed settings. Will this do the trick?

    • 3090 or 3090 ti should do. 10GB RTX 3080 is a 4k card.

      • 3080 won't run cyberpunk at over 30fps at 4k lol

      • With RTX on and DLSS off my 3090 pushed a whopping 10fps at release. lol

  • +1

If I order this today when will it be shipped? I'm thinking of getting some add-ons with it too.

    • +1

I believe it’s estimated 2 weeks before it’s shipped depending on the availability of the parts which I’m guessing is the graphics card

  • -6

    over priced

  • What's with the $106 order processing and handling fee?

  • hi Luke I’ve purchased this on the 22nd, if I give you my order number could you give me an update on the progression? thanks!

    • received it today in perfect condition, thanks heaps for the deal 👍

  • Does the deal/code only apply if you use the default options?

    • +1

pretty sure it just takes like $170 off the total price, changing options doesn’t void the discount code

    • I changed some of the default options and got a an $106 processing and handling fee. But the discount was applied. So only save about $69 bucks.

  • Hi OP, may I know if any QLC SSD is used?

  • Expired!

    1900 now.
