        Should be pretty stable then

          • +1

@CyberMurning: what are you doing, step-ladder?

          • @CyberMurning: Years old? I could use the step ladder to hang my framed letter from the queen.

  • +5

Still $95 at the two Bunnings near me in Qld.

    • So price online not the same? Depends on location?

    • +1

Weird, I chose a random QLD store and it's not $95?

      • +2

Looking around, it is perhaps only discounted near places that have a Costco? As a theory as to why it's cheap in some places and not others.

        • +4

Costco has the rubbermaid 3 steps ladder on catalog sale for $39.99

          • +2

            @pearl2013: Rubbermaid better?

edit: They look fairly similar, and the added can return at anytime for any reason probably gives Costco the win

            • -1

@iNeed2Pee: I returned mine yesterday at Costco I paid $59.99 back in Jan / Feb and buy it again for $39.99. I have not use it much as it just sits in my garage most of the time.

I have not seen the Bunnings one so cannot comment on them.

              • +1

@pearl2013: ould've bought new one at new price and returned it with the old receipt if urs was dented up

                • -1

@spoonmugen: I actually don't mine to have my old one back but they said I cannot keep it so I grab a new one….they said it is immoral to return it as I was not unsatisfied with the quality just returning it because it is cheaper now…I thought WTF…still returned it as no policy stops me.

I have not even take off the label and sticker yet with my old one.

                  • @pearl2013: They set the rules. Of course people will do this. My answer would be I’m unsatisfied with the price I paid. It doesn’t state you have to be unsatisfied with the quality. They would be better matching the price and allowing you to keep your, original, product.

They do have a price adjustment but the time is limited.

@iNeed2Pee: I’ve got the Rubbermaid, from Costco, and it is good.

            • @iNeed2Pee: Return anytime for any reason ? So you just go take a used ladder and say I want to return this ?

        • nah i live hours from a costco it’s discounted at the local bunnings

    • +1

available at Bundamba and Indooroopilly and snagged one for cleaning the 4B roof/ cannopy
      Good price! Thanks OP

      • Did the store have it for $40 or $95 ?

Browns Plains shows stock, but website lists it as $95.

        • as per OP price of $40. picked up at indro this morning.
Nicely made, light and easy to move and open. Good design and a clean 4x4 roof.
should have brought a few for resale…. Nah Flea bay buyers are weird and quirky.

          • @Thunderdownunder: Thanks. I went to Springfield yesterday (they had it for $40), but just sold out. They said it was national and asked Browns Plains to keep me one. BP said no, it was $95. I eventually pushed and the manager gave it to me for $40, but only because I had the paper where Springfield had written the details.
Ladder seems a bit flimsy, but seems OK for the price.

Costco vs cosco, their differences must be analysed down to the T 😉

        • +1

We all know what T stands for……. 💩

  • +3

I've had this ladder for about 10 years. Probably paid full price. Its kept inside the house for changing light globes as its light and easy to move around.
    Would buy again.

    • i'm 170 cm, its a bit too small. Have to reach a bit Wish it was a bit bigger (thats what she said)

    • +1

What could go wrong in 10 years? I mean it’s not exactly a laptop to expect less.
The only thing that could damage it is extra weight. No?

      • +1

I guess if you kept it outside it wouldn't fare well in the elements? But that applies to most things.

    • Same. I only tiny gripe is I wish it had a bigger tray at the top.

  • $95 in SA

Coming up as 39.89 for me in Windsor Gardens for C&C

Still $95 at my local in WA

    • $39.89 in Innaloo

      • Certain stores with low stock don't look to be marked down.

  • For interest sake, what do you mean by price protection?

    • +1

Answered my own question through googling…
How do you apply for the claim for price protection?

      • As far as I'm aware it was a product offered through a few credit cards in the past, each had different conditions.

Mine is through Coles MasterCard. Up to 2 years, but has to be the same store.

The other well known one is 28 Degrees, that one from memory is only 1 year, but any store.

        Plenty of other conditions also.

I vaguely remember the Myer Credit Card had it too.

Basically any card that used to be issued by GE.

It's all done via online form.

        • Thanks John, I have a Coles Mastercard, is it something that is included as standard for the Coles card range or do you need to pay an additional fee to have the protection?

          • +1

@seanmilts: Can't remember if it was opt in or opt out, but it is free to have, you only pay 1% of your balance capped at $50 a month.

The key is to pay the balance before the monthly statement is generated, so you don't pay a cent.

            • +2

@John Kimble: Correct! I should have 'opted in' for my Go Mastercard but that is used exclusively for interest free purchased from various partnering retailers.

My biggest regret was not jumping on the 28° card with price protection years back.

every time i goto costco i come home with $200 of oven food, i need to stay away

    • +5

good thing this is cosco the ladder brand, not Costco the retailer.
here, the only food you'll end up paying for is a 2022-inflation-adjusted snag.

      • rofl i completely misread that

        • +1

The Costco Rubbermaid is, also, $39.99 at the moment. Oven food here you come.

  • +1

    It's not a step ladder!

Thanks OP. I hope this allows you to communicate better :p

$39.89 at Doncaster VIC - 4 in stock just now. Great quality step ladder.

  • +1

Thanks a lot for sharing and OP

  • +1

Cheers OP. Good price. Limited Stock - ordered one for C&C Sydney

  • Available at Melville, WA for this price but I need a taller one for some part of the house.

    • it's always a tradeoff. if this were to extend higher it'd be bulkier. it doesn't completely reach my 9ft ceilings either but it's good for high shelves/cabinets for me

      • So not great for my 12ft ceilings?

        • it might if you're in the 3rd or 4th quadrant of the Australian height standard deviation bell curve. unfortunately, I am not.

      • Unless you are particularly short, you should easily reach 9ft (2.74m). I am 1.65m tall (ie. short) and standing on the top step my head almost touches our 2.55m ceilings.

As usual the Bunnings dimensions are incorrect when they say reach is 2.4m. The label on the ladder says 2.8m.

  • $95 in country Vic.

  • +1

Thanks OP - in stock Kirrawee, NSW

  • $95 at my local QLD store. Maybe state based discount.

    • +2

The theory is the Bunnings store needs to be close to a Costco.

      • +1

Hahaha yeah could be, its store to store for sure, as I just checked a QLD store the next suburb over and $39 there.

      • where’s the costco near bathurst? lol

  • -2

I'm 240kg and this easily handles my weight. Amazing.

  • +3

    Folding Dimensions
    4.9911514E9

Does that mean it can bend space/time? Without going 141.622km/h???

  • +1

How does that compare to this which is similar price anyway: https://www.bunnings.com.au/syneco-100kg-3-step-steel-househ…

    • +2

      6kg vs 3.4kg

      • good pickup (no pun intended). double the weight but I have the syneco steel one and it has a super friendly fold out and in mechanism which you can do in one swing with a thumb push-lock-tab thingo. by the looks of this one looks like you need to awkwardly part the legs out while its on the ground?. not a biggie tho

        • This one is not awkward at all, has a pull latch thing on the top step.

        • +2

Cosco one is much faster - pull up large latch at the top and push down in place to lock. I also have a smaller Syneco with the thumb push-lock mechanism - this is easy enough but still takes more time than the Cosco. The Cosco 3-step is lighter than Syneco 2-step ladder. Syneco is made of much thicker metal. Both say 100kg weight rating.

$40 at Manly West, $95 at Cannon Hill

    • $95 at Capalaba, mt Gravatt & Rocklea too
      OOS at Underwood

  • Anyone know the height of the top step?

    • +2

        • +16

I measured my one with a measuring tape.
