I declare Telstra day a public holiday.

    • they are trying hard to push sales of galaxy s22, lot of deals recently

      • +4

        No really great deals though.

Hoping for some better S22 deals when Pixel 7 and iPhone 14 are released.

        • -2

Lol I like how you mention pixel 7 like it is a factor

          • +3

@nikoris: Not sure why you got downvoted, not many buy pixels and pixel buyers are a cult.

Wonder what they call iPhone buyers ;)

Damn, not sure how many will down vote me for this :D

            • +1

              @[Deactivated]:

Not sure why you got downvoted

I mean, pixel fanboys be pixel fanboying. I've never seen such a strong community for such an average product

              • @nikoris: Absolutely, they never got it right after nexus.

        • +1

What would you consider a great deal? Sub $1000 for an S22 Ultra?

          • @Averell: That would be about right

          • +8

@Averell: That happened during 2021 for s21 Ultra.
I'd prefer cheaper phones without "free" xboxes or buds priced in to savings.

        • S22 is not soo much better than s21 or note 20+ 5g. Thats why they want to sell.

          • @shegeloaf: interesting, should i upgrade my S10e to S22 or wait for S23?

            • @Homr: I have an s10 too I am waiting to buy s23.

      • +1

Or clear out the dumbed down series of consoles they're stuck with.

    • +1

With a name like yours, forgive me for not pre-booking any accommodation.

  • -8

    Dupe

    • +7

Nope, cos the previous main deal was moved to forums bc of pricing error and this deal wasn’t mentioned in the header of the other deal

  • Get a Price match from “competitors” :)

  • +2

Anyone know the price of the cheapest s22 off them

    • +8

I have a feeling this is only going to be really worth it if you're in the market for an Xbox s plus gamepass…. Plus the phone.

      • -3

Game pass can always be sold as well.

        • +3

It can't be sold. Game pass is pre-enrolled on the console itself.

          • @guidedlight: Will it extend a current subscription?

              • @Spendmore: The deals with buying cheaper game pass from other countries has an extension limit (36 months?), so might be worth confirming in this case.

                • +2

@yewman: Yeah I'm pretty sure 3yrs is the maximum you can stack on gamepass. I had 2 years and mine was paused while I had the Telstra all access gamepass, I cancelled and now it has started counting down again.

          • @guidedlight: Huh, that's interesting - a first for me. Guess you'd really have to be in the market for one as you said. I'd think most people would want the latest gen console.

          • @guidedlight: Might be pre enrolled but can still be registered to another person. Just have to log into their account on the console to claim and then log them out.

I did that for my brother as I already had 30 months of gamepass at the time. But yea not easy to sell, but can still be given to another person.

            • @azukay: Can the Game Pass be sold with the console and a higher price asked than simply for the console alone? In other words, can a buyer of the console access the Game Pass, making it worth something to them?

              Not a gamer…

              • +1

@strangeloops66: Well yeh it can since the gamepass is tied to the console during the initial setup, as I said at the initial setup they just need to log into the account and claim it. But the problem would be more convincing the other party they will get the gamepass as well.

    • S22 128 GB

  • +5

Nice, going to salary sacrifice the phone.

  • -2

So how much total cost we need to spend?
And how much total we can get from selling the phone and xbox + the pass?

    Then we'll talk.

    • Genuine question here,
My mindset on a bargain here is not to resell…

Is it normal to buy and resell bargains posted on here?

      • -2

Everyone different. We are humam afterall. One need x the other need y

        • +7

Or, one need X the other need 5.

  • +2

    That’s gold

    • +23

No, it's game pass ultimate. ;)

  • -1

What if I already have Turkey vpn game pass on account, can I add this 24mth to my existing balance?

    • Up to 3 years only from memory.

      • But does it matter that my previous balance was from turkey key, and the new one is AU key?

        • +2

I can't say for sure, hopefully someone on here can but I would think that you can.
If you moved country you should be able to bring that account/ subscription with you I would hope.

        • +2

Usually you have to wait for your Turkey region to expire before you can add another subscription from a different region. I dont know how it works if the Game pass is pre-enrolled on the console itself.

    • +2

I had a brazil game pass account. I grabbed the Telstra All access deal with 24 months of game pass at launch. It doesn't touch your original balance until the 24 months expires. It basically pauses it.

So if you had 2 years. When the Telstra deal expires those 2 years should still be there and work as they were doing so before hand.

Someone else confirmed that's how it worked for them too.

    • +23

You're the reason why we can't have nice things. What is wrong with you?

        • Lol who said I was mad, the question was more rhetorical. Btw those are not my Negs

        • +3

do it and post your outcome here for the rest of us

      • I'm sure Telstra has already considered this.. not sure how OPs comment stops us having nice things when the rest of us can shop this offer regardless of what anyone does with their order

        • +3

The gamepass is attached to the console and month to month when you check settings. It doesn't apply to your account in full.

    • very possible they will ask you to pay back the value of Xbox and GamePassUltimate @$792

    • Lol. No. It’s pre-loaded on the console. Also, Telstra aren’t stupid.

  • -4

Thats pretty good except you are stuck with a S22

  • +1

I'm considering upgrading my s8 to the s22 or iPhone 13 or possibly 14 hmm still need to do some research

    • +2

On the same boat with my Note 9, the low efficiency of the SD 8 gen 1 makes me wanna get an iPhone, but I prefer the Android experience from Samsung…

      • What's wrong with an SD8g1?
        Thanks

        • +2

It's great unless you're nitpicking and looking for impossible perfection. Ignore them.
Quite odd this deal has attracted a bunch of dummies all throughout these comments.

    • +5

S8 was a great phone. I find it hard to upgrade s10+. Still a great phone.

      • +1

I loved my S10+, only upgraded it because mum's old phone was dying and she wanted mine. I now love my S21+ even more, it was a decent upgrade I'd totally recommend it

      • +3

I'm still amazed at how well my s8+ does as an extra device, compared to how my Mi 4 felt when I got my s8+
They waaaay overbuilt the s8 series.

    • Same as me. Waiting to see if Pixel 7 is either great and/or forces s22 prices down.
iPhone 14 pro should be good but looks like might be quite expensive

    • It’s mostly a question of iOS or Android as both phones are more than powerful enough to make performance a non-issue. If you’re heavily tied into the Android eco system it may not be worth your while. Otherwise I’d go the iPhone. The only thing I miss is accessing the file system and how notifications are done. But you get over that real quick. I’m not an Apple fanboy but the iPhone just works better….

  • +1

im lookin for iphone 13 pro max deal….

  • lol thought Xbox Series S was like $800, it's only $500, not really a deal here compared to previous deals

    • +4

Compared to what deals? The Series S has been out for nearly two years and you thought it was $800? $792 includes two years worth of GP Ultimate (at RRP).

      • -4

i'm not a xbox,pc person, thought they were both the same price, also yes, i thought they always stayed the same price and not decreased just like oculus(meta) quest

  • +1

Wonder how many people are tax deducting the “phone” or writing it off as a business expense but just happen to receive an Xbox as well.

  • +1

Can you use Telstra Plus points to minimise the phone cost outright?

    • Unlikely. Telstra aren’t that generous.

  • +1

S22 Ultra is $1848. Almost the same cost as buying on sale and buying the Xbox and gamepass separately.

    • $1719 with EAP with free 2 years samsung care. $50 dollar sign up bonus for $1669. Not sure if the 4% cash rewards will also work.

      • as far as I know, not, but you can check their fine print. Only the normal Samsung portal for the cashback deals (Shopback I know, definitely a no)

        • You're right, decided to have a quick look.

          Special Terms
Important: Cashback is ineligible on purchases made through Samsung's Education Store, Samsung's Business Store, or any Samsung Enhanced Partnership Portals.

  • Can I just get an A32 and a free switch oled?

  • Wanted a series X. I hope there is a deal for one

  • +3

    Shame it wasn't a deal with a ps5.

    • Let’s all push Vodafone for it

  • Does anyone know how to redeem their points for multiple items

    I’ve got about 30k
And I want to by 3x an item that’s 10k
But it doesn’t let me purchase more then 1 without having to pay delivery every time ?

    • From previous comments I’ve read once you’ve made one purchase for the day if you make a second not long after it allows you free delivery but YMMV

    • Get free delivery on the rest of today's shop

More on your shopping list? Redeem a reward or purchase an accessory today and get free delivery on all your other reward or accessory orders until midnight.

  • If I buys the phone outright, will it be unlocked to used with any other network?

    • +7

If I tells you that alls Galaxys S serie phone are unlocked wills you believes me.

  • Wish they'd just match Jbhifi s22 past deals,.. wait should I say Jbhifi/Telstra plans s22 deals,. they are half part of the Jbhifi s22 deals anyway well should be easy for them too coff up the 50% rest of Jbhifi better s22 mobile deals 👍😁

Edit: what's the lowest priced s22 standard? Ultras seem to be holding there price, what nearly 7 months in from release

  • +4

Be warned that when you cancel your Xbox Game Pass Ultimate membership through Telstra, you won't be able to subscribe to Game Pass through Microsoft or anyone else for 30 days or more after your membership expires. You account will still be there but you won't be able to have Game Pass Ultimate. As far as I saw it isn't in the terms and conditions, but neither Microsoft nor Telstra were willing to help when I ran into this issue earlier this year. You basically get locked out of your Game Pass membership for a month so you can kiss the included games and any console network gaming that requires ultimate until you've served your time.

  • Hope for an great nbn deal

  • +1

another telstra day? how many do they have? lol

    1. Buy the phone
    2. Receive the Xbox
    3. Salary sacrifice the phone
    4. Sell the phone privately at 10% discount
    5. Profit???
    • correction:
      4. Sell the phone and the xbox privately at 15% discount

      • anything less than 30% discount is a profit

    • I got the xbox series X with telstra day one, and yeah you get 2 years of game pass and for me it was great for 3 months and still use it but only really to trial games, because I end up buying them. As a collector I don't really rent games so the service to me is more of an expensive way of trialing games. I think the only think I do actually have installed with game pass is pretty much just forza horizon 5, there is very few games I can install because I own nearly all of them.

  • I think some people wanted this info. This was a link from the Telstra day page so the pricing should be accurate and the deal should be obtainable from the $1249 s22

    https://exchange.telstra.com.au/samsung-galaxy-s22-and-tab-s…

The Galaxy S22 comes in three variants S22, S22+ and S22 Ultra, with a variety of memory sizes and colours available. Pricing will start from $1,249 for the Galaxy S22, $1,549 for the Galaxy S22+ and $1,849 for the Galaxy S22 Ultra.

  • +2

S22 Ultra still $1294.30 through the Samsung Education portal. Not worth it for an xbox.

  • Sound like a great deal for those who don't have an Xbox. I'm not familiar with their generations or what's this one worth. But you can always get it and then sell it. Is that pass transferable if you wanted to sell the console? What's the value for the pass?

    • +1

Account lock for the game pas

  • +3

JB Hi-Fi have $200 off all S22 phones starting tomorrow too, should be able to price match using the Telstra 7 Day Price Match also I believe to double dip the savings. No harm in raising the claim, even if it gets denied.
