  • So, if I sign up for the 90 day membership now, I can download all those games for free?

    • Yes.

  • Are these available only while you're subscribed or are they yours to keep permanantly? I know some games are one or the other so curious which it is for these (I suspect the later).

    • Only while you're subscribed.

  • yep. but then once your subscription ends, you won't be able to play them anymore

I joined the us subscription cos it offers better value, but its a bit of hassle having to create a fake address and having to buy the us psn cards online.

The US one has pretty good value imo

Is it as simple as buy psn card from bestbuy? do you need vpn to be able to join us psn? Thanks mate….

FREE GAMES ; Any game / DLC you get FREE with plus expires at the same time your plus membership expires. Meaning you will not be able to play these games unless you renew plus, or buy the game. if you go the way of reuping for plus - you can still play the games from your old membership - even if your membership expired - if you deleted the games because you were no longer able to play them - you can find them in your download list and redownload them

DISCOUNTED ITEMS;Anything you got from plus as a discounted item you paid for you keep.

MISC; All avatars, themes are yours to keep forever.

    • So to be sure, if you buy a game (or additional game DLC) with a Playstation Plus discount, and your subscription expires and you do not renew the subscription at any stage, you will still have full access to the game (or additional game DLC)? It's just the free games that you won't have access to. They don't make it entirely clear do they.

I signed up to the Australian one yesterday, if I sign up to the US version today will I still get these free games. The US offering is awesome if you don't have the games already.

  • However if you buy a game thats been discounted due to your membership, you can keep them. Even after subscription ends.

But if you're downloading a free game, they expire when your membership expires

Tip for the cheapest way to get PS Plus,
I bought PSN vouchers when on sale for 20% off which happens time to time, was at dick smith months ago, and JB last month.
Then Playstation network recently put the 12 month subscription on sale for $49.95. (which I bought with a $50 voucher that only cost me $40AUD cash at Dick Smith).

    Win win

On topic, looking forward to grabbing all this on PSN tonight :)

Please note this is for US PSN Plus subscribers. AU/EU has a slightly different list.

Not a very compelling list imo

For those who think the US get better value:
    From the EU blog
How come SCEA subscribers get 12 games and we only get 10?
It’s true, SCEA get two more games than SCEE subscribers up front.
However, most titles in SCEA Plus will stick around for 16 weeks before being refreshed – in SCEE we keep games for a maximum of 12 weeks, which means we rotate through more games in a full year – in fact we are committed to delivering over 45 games to you as part of your subscription before June 2013, and that’s before we factor in any extra minis or PS one titles that might show up. Additionally, any ‘PlayStation®Plus Presents’ games will be extra to the standard game rotation.

Its really just a preference of what games are on there

For those who are sceptical of ps+ it only costs $5.85 per month (1 year sub price) so it's well worth it.

Compared to Xbox live it's a total steal. Compared to the amount of discount games I could buy (and keep) from Steam / Amazon it feels bloody expensive

This is still a great bonus - I'm sure for a regular users the %30 discount alone is worth it

  • wait hang on a second,
they rotate through the free games, if you get a free game, lets say infamous 2 and then forget to play it for 14 weeks whatever and there is another rotation in the free games, is it no longer available to play? and can i grab games retroactively from the roster, i missed out on infamous 2 this time but in 6 months time i want to subscribe do I still have access to download and play infamous 2 for free?

    • If you download it now it'll be available to play, as long as you subscribe to Playstation Plus.

If you wait 6 months, these games will probably not be available to download for free.

If you've got a big hard drive, then you can just download them all and play when you like.

  • I think I'm missing something here. I logged in and am an existing Plus member but I cant see the games for free. Is it only for new members? When I searched for Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath HD it wants to charge me $19.95 for it.

    Has the sale started yet?

Oh and there are still another 8 games available from the last update as well, so 18 games if you sign up this month.

    • Niiiiiiccceee! Does the month roll over on the 1st or mid month?

      • +1

It will roll over on the 5th of july, normally the first thursday of the month.
