I think it is now $500 spend "Spend $500 within 3 months of opening your account and we’ll credit your account with $50".

    • Oh, you're right!

      Updated the amount. Thanks!

    Incorrect deal. $50 not $100.

Why didn't you simply click the link and confirm it op?

      It's two separate $50s.

      1. In order to receive $50 cash back you must arrange for your employer to direct credit a minimum of $250 per fortnight of your salary to your Bank First Everyday (S1) Account within 3 months of opening your Bank First Everyday Account. Once these conditions are met, the $50 credit will be applied to your account by the end of the following calendar month.

      2. Make purchases totaling $500 from your Bank First Everyday (S1) Account using Apple Pay, Google Pay, or your Visa Debit Card, within 3 months of opening your S1 Account and we’ll credit your Bank First Everyday (S1) account with $50 in the month following the $500 spend.

Seems like a lot of work for $100 including getting your employer (wtf?) To do something.

        • for me changing my pay is as simple as a form on a web page

DO NOT DEAL WITH BANK FIRST
Applied accounts during last deal, and a very rude representative called me and told me to post physical application form and certified ID copies to them. Posted to them and got another call saying they received my application and will forward it to higher managers to assess and decide whether they will open accounts for me or not. Never heard back.

    • Thanks for the heads up. Will deal with this bank last

    • same, I requested application form for credit card, promised to send by email. never heard from them since. they dont care

  • Thanks OP, gave it a go.

    • Ended up having to call them because I didn't receive my temporary password by text. Waited only about 2 minutes to get through by phone, and was helped in a quick/polite manner. A bit of contrast with what others have posted (in this and previous deal)

  • Bank First
    Customer Second

  • Used to be Vic Teachers credit union

    • Is it still the case that their cards can only be used at CommBank ATMs? or something like that, I remember.

      • Haven't used mine for years tbh because its not my main acct. But I think you can use em anywhere. I think it might be a fee thing. I.e. free to use in CBA ATM's or some such thing.

Does it have to be salary credit or a EFT from another bank account will work?

  • T&Cs say "available to new retail customers"

What about those who previously held an account and closed it? Are they new customers?

  • Is the Pension Account included?

  • You said "Did my Beem transaction on 7 July…" Please explain how the Beem app relates to this deal.
