Considering you can get 3080 for $1000 these days is this still good value?

    • +7

      not really no.

      40 series coming.

Realistically it still has time to launch + either naturally or artificially it’s going be stock constraint.

And they are likely to price them up so they don’t put more downward pressure to their own last gen cards.

In my opinion this is a practically good price if you want to just play whatever at high settings (QHD) today.

          No

I know you want to cut costs everywhere but a 500GB drive on an $1800 computer is a strange area to cheap out on

  • "Ryzen 5 5600 RTX 3080 Gaming PC(techfast.com.au)"
    comes with an Intel processor…

Might need a quick edit there - looks like a copy paste error :)

    • Cheers, all fixed.

  • Any business type pc deals? Looking to buy 4.

Is this PC @ BPC for an extra $200 worth it, or is this the better deal:

if they released a 3080 ti build with a 12600k close to 2k i'd buy it.

    • +1

      $300 extra is pushing it?

    • If I had to buy one, I'd go for the 1tb SSD and 3080 Ti in the BPCTech deal.

    • +2

If you spec up the BPC deal to a 12700k + 240mm AIO, B660M MB, it comes to $2717.

If you spec up this deal to be as close as possible: 12700F, 1 TB NVME, 240mm AIO, 850w gold PSU, it comes to $2535. However you have a 12700F rather than a 12700K, and a 3080 10gb rather than a 3080ti 12gb.

The BPC offer also guarantees an EVGA brand power supply, and a better case (for my taste).

If you wanted to get a more powerful system, the BPC deal is better. Otherwise this deal is good value

The BCP one looks awesome. But isn't it $400 more? The tech fast one is $1800 with the discount code. Is there a discount on the BCP one I'm not seeing? If it's $2000 and not $2200 I'll be getting it asap!

  • $1199 by the end of this year.

now is the worst time to but a GPU or PC, wait till after ETH merge,

    • +1

True, with new gen CPUs and GPUs on the corner with DDR5 memory, the existing CPUs, GPUs and DDR4 is gonna crash further.

    • +2

Hopefully the merge won't be delayed further.
I want to update my GPU so badly.

    • I heard the ETH merge news, but what relation with buying GPU or PC?

      • From what I understand, ETH merge limits the types of crypto currency miners could mine. Hence making crypto mining less profitable, meaning demand for PC parts used for crypto mining will fall.
