    Thanks OP. bought one.

      Thanks OP. Amazing deal!

  • +1

Got 2 and 2s, both works pretty well and so portable

Will get the 3 and see if it’s anything better (at least using type c? )

    Thanks OP

    • +2

IMO, yes - Middle click, metal scroll wheel.

    • +4

Its 'malibu stacey with a new hat' affair.

I bought the 3 for the missus and the only thing thats advantageous if at all is the usb-c port, although we could count the amount of times we've charged it with one hand thanks to the excellent battery life thats prob the same as the 2c.

The design is a bit more flowy, less-edgy, Else, the other basic functions are the same as the 2c. The scroll wheel has regressed IMO as well. Theres no rubber on the scroll wheel like there was on the 2c and its also lost the left and right buttons.

      • +3

        Yeah, I agree.

I have the 2S and love it.

Prefer the rubber on the scroll wheel and left/right functionality. The USB mini charging cable is not an issue as I have 4822 of those floating around the house and I only seem to charge it 3 times a year at most.

Still waiting for it to go on sale again to snuffle up another one :-)

        • the sides are coming off my 2S but the scroll wheel is better on the 2S in my opinion so I'll keep it until they update the 3 again

      • Battery on the 2s is incredible. I have been using the mouse for over a year and only have had to charge it twice I think lol

  • Does the scroll wheel act as the middle click on the Anywhere 3? I remember that clicking the scroll wheel in used to change between "clicked" and smooth scrolling on the 2S, which I absolutely hated.

    • +2

from the review they bring back the middle click
and added a button below the wheel to switch between scrolling mode

      • +1

The reviews say it has lost the left / right sideways push on the scroll wheel though.

        • Yes, that has been replaced by pressing the side 'thumb' button and scrolling at the same time.

          • @dangerdanger: Yeah its been removed, probably as not many folk actually use it perhaps.

        • May i ask what the lef/right sideways push on the scroll wheel's for? My MX 2 has this but i've never used it and Google's not very helpful … lol

          • @chibichip: I believe by default it was sideways scrolling.

Cant remember if it was default or custom (i used one about 10 years ago), but I used to use it to switch tabs on browser.

But yeah, it's an extra 2 buttons (replaced by side button + scroll) that may or may not be useful to you.

          • @chibichip: You can map the buttons and left/right scroll wheel with the Logi Options software. I use it for back / forwards, useful when on a web browser.

            • @dangerdanger: if you don't want to install the Logitch software (not sure if it has telemetry these days as all programs seem to) ..

You can install X-Mouse Button Control to do the same thing (and more). The program is also "aware" of the program you are using so that you can have the same button(s) do different things in various programs. (Such as switching tabs in web browsers vs skipping forward/back in VLC).

It just takes a little time to setup but the 2 "extra" buttons (or any button) but it sure handy in different programs.

              • +1

@lamb: I found that that X-Mouse could not re-map the middle button (Button 3) , as it looks like something changed between the 2s and this model in the windows api side of things.

Now using the logi software, which is a thousand times more intuititve to use. Could easily re-map to my needs from here.

                • @tm32: Could something be different in other OSes?

Currently using the anywhere 2s and I've remapped the middle button (below the wheel) to .. open link in new tab (firefox, brave), rename (freecommander), copy (portmaster) on win11 (not the 22h2) via dongle.

totally agree with the intuitive. it is just SO confusing with the layers and all the different functions (on click, on release, on click and release, hold for XX seconds) .. but once it is setup, it works quite well for me.

having to remember what each button does is a whole other story tho and x-mouse's UI doesn't make it any easier. =P

Best mouse in the Biz. anywhere mice are superb

  • +1

I really miss the old version that take 2AA batteries, always pop 2 extra in the backpack when slaving my youth away at clients. the weight is always spot on with 2 energizer and any other batteries will give slightly different feedback from the mouse.

    • This is what’s stopping me from upgrading my 325… its plods along for more than 6 months on the AA battery.

    • +2

I have an old M55b mouse that you're welcome to if you're in Melbourne CBD area. (It uses BT connection only.) .. Possibly 2-3 months of use? I had purchased a SWTOR mouse soon after and that became my main mouse.

Found it recently, dropped in 2 AA's to test it was still functional. Have no use for it and couldn't bring myself to just toss it. =P

Yours .. if you can give it a good home (and come get it). Lol.

  • +1

What constitutes a good mouse? I don't have the need for DPI changes and the cheap $10 logi mouse works fine.

    • +8

You think your cheap mouse works fine, but the Logitech MX Anywhere 3 is a truly precision instrument that will save you many minutes — if not hours every day. If you can’t shoot down a pixel unawares from 50cm, you’ll have to chase it all over the screen once it knows you’re targeting it. Plus, the scroll wheel is so awesome it’s even better than a finger. Once you’ve experienced this level of transformative engineering, you just can’t go back to using a regular mouse again

      • +2

        Nice

      • +1

this is false if you use linux, the cheap one is actually better.

        • +4

I guess Logitech can’t be arsed writing a driver. On the plus side, if you’re used to Linux, then you’ve already worked up an extreme tolerance to pain

  • +1

I've been using the pink one, it's been great.

  • +1

I have every version since the original. This latest version has a very nice feeling on the scrolling. It's a bit hard to describe, it is something like adaptive scrolling. When you scroll fast enough it will turn temporarily into smooth scrolling.

  • Is this better than a razer Razer Basilisk X Hyperspeed. I just got one from Amazon for $55 but thinking of changing. I want to use on my laptop and ipad

    • any issue with basilisk x, I was considering that one myself . can you tell ur opinion for it for gaming purposes?. I dont want buyers remorse later

  • +1

A very well designed mouse. I love the customisable buttons, the flywheels, the form factor and the gyro sensor that turns the laser off when you turn the mouse upside down. The software is also great, enabling files to be dragged and dropped between computers. Battery life is excellent.

The only downside: the silicon pads fall off after a year or two and I can't glue them back.

  • +1

Is this dependent upon a USB dongle? Can I connect to my Intel NUC M1T laptop with out a dongle?

    • +2

It is optional to use either bluetooth or dongle. So, if your laptop has bluetooth, you can use it without a dongle.

      Required: Bluetooth Low Energy Technology
      Windows 10,11 or later

      • +1

Yep correct. 3 devices can connect via the button underneath, with dongle or bluetooth

        • all 3 thru bluetooth? cos the 2 i got can do 2 thru bluetooth and the 3rd with dongle. would be great if it can be all thru bluetooth.

  • +3

I picked one of these up on the weekend for $129 from Harvey Norman :(. That aside it is a very good mouse. Could be a bit bigger IMO but still pretty comfortable to use. My biggest gripe is as a left-hander the side buttons annoy me (other lefties don't seem to have this issue though).

For me the standout features are multi device connect through the included dongle or bluetooth and the ability to change scroll from "clicky" to "smooth" for endless scrolling. Mouse wheel is really good. Software allows you to configure buttons to your hearts content. You can even configure side buttons to behave differently for certain apps like browsers, word, excel.

In summary, very good mouse but side buttons kinda ruin the experience for me (i'll probably remove them or 3d print a new shell).

    • you can ask to refund the difference.

      • from Harvey Norman?

        • +2

          from their website:

How do I request a Price Match?

Simply present proof of the competitor’s advertised price for the identical product, either at the time of purchase or within 7 days after your purchase.

          • @double9209: tried through live chat but need to speak to store directly. might try calling through later

  • How's this compare to a G304?

    • Yea keen to know as well. I have only ever owned G304s.

    • I have both and can't do directly comparison IMO, really depends on use case

G304 is gaming and light weight mouse with adjustable dpi, great for gaming
MX Anywhere 3 is more towards the business / portable mouse with multi-devices switching support (BT + usb dongle)

Here are some of my personal comments:
Comfortability - I feel G304 is slightly more comfortable given its a bit longer than MX Anywhere 3. The width is pretty much the same tho.

Portability - For sure MX Anywhere 3 wins due to its smaller in size.

Use cases - It's a draw depends on what you used for. For gaming G304 wins by the adjustable dpi (and button switch speed). For multi-tasks MX Anywhere 3 wins by supporting multi-devices (3 devices) and can connect via BT or USB dongle. MX Anywhere 3 has fast scrolling mode and also support Logitech Flow which allows moving the mouse across 2 computers, copy text across etc.

So in my personal use case, my desk computer is using G304 (and another using G203). My macbook pro that need to carry around to office are always having a MX Anywhere in the bag (I don't get used to the Macbook trackpad LOL)

  • I didn't really like the MX Master, so probably not surprising I didn't like this that much. I like my M575 trackball for my anywhere experience, otherwise I just travel with my normal G502 Lightspeed. Each to their own, the MX range is very popular.

    Thanks OP, bought one.

What's the click like on this ? I've had to move the PC into the bedroom and the wife is constantly attacking me over the click of my DeathAdder V2.

  • +2

Not a fan of Logitech mouses as rubber coating on them becomes a sticky mess after a while.

    • +5

I have one and this has not been a problem at all, even after 80% ethanol wipe downs. The mouse is pretty small but is well built, good scroll, for/rev web buttons and has a usb-c charger port.

    Bought!

Any deals/recommendation on good keyboards would be appreciated.

    • +1

Logitech MX keys is a good matching keyboard. CCC shows it's a reasonably low price on Amazon. There are a few versions of the MX keys around, with mac / windows keys.

I personally stick with the keyboard that came with my iMac.

  • +1

if anyone is interested in a cheaper-ish mouse also by logitech- i recommend M650! its great, I really like it. Bought it on special at JB Hifi and I think its still on special right now. It seems quite similar to the MX shape wise. It has 2 sizes aswell

  • +1

My MX Anywhere v1 is still kicking along. I've been itching to take the bite when I see this deal on OzB. I must resist!.

  • +1

These mice are great. I have a 2S on the loungeroom PC it is a convenient small size easy to hide away and it works great on our glass coffee table

  • +3

Pricematch w/ OW for 84.55! Thanks, Op! 🙌

  • One neg for me is that they removed the wheel left and wheel right buttons. Have been uaing it forever with MX Anywhere 2 …

    • you can just hold the button on the left and scroll with the regular scroll for the same effect.

  • +2

One thing to note for anyone moving to this mouse from larger MX Master type mouse - this is small! I was using Performance MX and MX master for last 10 years.
I bought it after seeing this deal and reading positive reviews. No one really mentioned it.
It does feel very small and is not as comfortable as larger MX where you can 'rest' the back of you palm/2 fingers fully on it.
Just something to consider. If I knew that, I wouldn't have bought.

    • I use a logitech G502 lightspeed at home and the 2s at work. Have no issues.

  • $89 for graphite
$99 for Pale Grey and Rose

Just in time, my surface mouse died recently. Crushed in bag.

Price beaten at officeworks (only cheaper if you don't have prime) it ends up being $90.24 compared to around $95, plus no waiting.

Not many stores have it in stock though.

    • Shouldn't you price beat (the graphite) one to less than $89?

      • Yeah, I just got Officeworks to price beat for $85. Not many around Melb CBD though.

        • Must vary a bit from store to store. At the start someone told me they wouldn't do Amazon because it's a marketplace but then someone else stepped in and said it's fine as long as sold by Amazon directly

      • They added delivery onto it (which said around $6). I'm not a prime member but even if I was they said they don't exclude shipping.

Edit I definitely shoulda added it was the graphite one.
