    how come that much discount?

      • +15

Doubt it. This is quite possibly a price error! :D

      • According to Apple the Pros are "the world's best selling wireless headphones"

      • Nope. According to Timbo, Pro’s outsell the other models.

      • If you click the “go to deal” box above it will take you to the Amazon website which tells you that, at least for Amazon, the AirPods Pro is its number one selling earphones.

    • this is odd, did black friday come early?

    • +1

actually I saw this 2-3 days ago. and I thought it's not 2nd gen so didn't order LOL

    • This is the price the first gen AirPods Pro usually sell at on Amazon, at least the last couple of months. Sometimes drop down to $309.

      And now $399.

  • +20

    That's quite a significant & unusual pre-order discount. Ordered a pair, thanks!

    • ordered 1 but have little hope we would get it

    • I think this is not gen 2 wrong title.

      • It's Gen 2. Just had a confirmation e-mail from Amazon with delivery dates:

        Monday, September 26, 2022 - Tuesday, September 27, 2022

        • Yes I will receive it on the same day Thanks.

and I also ordered an iphone on Amazon at 2am (4 hours after launching) it comes tmr yayayaya

  • +1

    Crazy price thanks for sharing!

  • +3

just ordered from apple on Friday, will refund it if I actually get it at this price! ty OP!

    • +2

Easy to cancel the Apple pre-order, and their shipping date estimates look as if you'd have no issue ordering again (or walking in to buy) if this Amazon price falls through.

  • Thanks op.

Hope it is not a pricing error and order gets cancelled.

  • Ordered one, really rare to have such a discount on a new product!

  • +1

price error? Ordered a pair thanks.

    • +1

It says magsafe in the description

    • These are the new 2nd Generations, which should all have Magsafe.

    • +1

MagSafe Charging Case with speaker and lanyard loop

I'd say it does come with the case because they can't be charged without it.

    • I believe it says it comes with MagSafe on the page. Not sure if it makes a difference regardless if you're getting it at such a steep discount anyways.

    • Where does it say so? The details section has it clearly written “MagSafe Charging Case with speaker and lanyard loop”

    • Item description does say it has magsafe case

    • MagSafe Charging Case with speaker and lanyard loop

    • +1

Commenting without looking at the post or product for even 1 second

  • +1

Must be a pricing error? Airpods pro (1st gen) are on sale for $317. Hope they honour this price.

    • yes that was gen 1 price.

  • Crazy!

  • Are these legit? Apple never seems to discount their products until much later. This item hasn't even been released yet but it's selling below RRP?

    • +1

I’d say so because it’s fulfilled by Amazon Australia directly, who is also an Apple Authorised Reseller.

      • Not sure why it's below RRP when it's a new item. I noticed it was sold by Amazon and have bought one to replace my Airpod Pro ver 1. Not sure if it's worth the upgrade but at this price I thought why not.

    • +2

Definitely legit. I got my iPhone, AirPods Max all from Amazon au. Warranty with Apple official.

  • Wow at the savings. Couldnt hurt to preorder!

  • Thanks, Op. ordered a pair

  • Ordered , thanks!

  • +1

Thanks OP, only 1 pair available per account btw

    • I realised that, was trying to place a second pair but couldn’t and thought deal was expired!

  • Ordered a set - almost certain that this is a pricing error!

  • pre ordered thnx.

  • -1

    Thanks OP.
Don’t really need it but ordered one for the good price.

  • Thanks OP. Ordered a pair for the wife!

    • I assume you have her permission for you to augment her listening experience?

  • +5

Don't even have an iPhone but ordered anyway, it's the OzBargain way!

    • +2

      lmao same bro
Got a s21 but I might look to swap it to a iphone 13

  • +1

Preordered because I am a sheep

  • +5

Oh no, I used to think these look ridiculous and never needed one. Ordered. Thanks.

    Price will probably change.

Sounds like it’ll still be charged at this price? Also no mention of this guarantee during checkout for me nvm saw it on the product page

    • +7

      Thanks Samsung staff.

    • I think it'll go up, not get any further discounts prior to release

  • Not a significant upgrade from the original AirPods Pro? but ordered anyway.

    • +2

Same. The main difference seems to be better noise cancelling. They say it's twice as good, whatever that means. The other stuff like better battery doesn't matter to me. Wireless charging, which I think Airpod Pro ver 1 already has, I rarely use.

The volume up and down seems useful though.

I bought because Apple products never seem to go on sale when new. Also my Airpods seem to have that buzzing noise now sometimes.

      • +1

        "not a significant upgrade"

"proceeds to list out ALL the significant upgrades"

LOL. what were you expecting? massage function? sound quality like Audeze?

        • +1

I wouldn't call any of those significant upgrades. I consider Airpods Pro a significant upgrade from Airpods ver 2. The upgrades I listed aren't that big for me. They're all minor nice upgrades. I mainly purchased because it was a decent price and my current ones have a minor issue.

I think with earphones, there's not much they can do that would count as a big upgrade, which is why it's been a few years since these have released.

      • +3

Take them to an Apple store, there is a known issue. I had mine replaced for free.

        https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT211157

        • Wow. Thanks for the info. I thought mine was out of warranty but it looks like Apple says 3 years. I've booked an appointment at the Apple store.

Mine only make that buzzing noise on one of the earphones and only when I'm in the car. I think it's from the vibration.

What was the procedure? Do they send them away for testing, or do replace them on the spot?

          • @warmfruit: No worries! Mine were replaced on the spot. They run an audio test on them and then bang, replaced!

            • @starspawn: wow, thats good to know, but at the same time, intermittent issues are going to suck.

            • +1

@starspawn: They did the audio test on mine and said only one side had an issue. It was the side that I wasn't having an issue with though. They replaced that side with a new one.

I'm still having the same issue so will see them again. Also they said there's an issue with charging.

Pretty good that they can replace it for free though.

      • +1

The buzzing could be a faulty mike, Apple is replacing mine because of exact problem only occurs when in noise canceling and transparency mode for me.

You should check if it’s the same, anyway they are very good at replacing faulty ones, they even wrote consumer law as reason to replace on the paperwork.

this is the third time I’ve had to get my pros replaced by Apple because of a fault but that’s another story.

        • That's right, someone in the above comments said the same thing. I went to the Apple store and they said it's a known fault and replaced one of the Airpods. Thing is that was the one I wasn't having issues with.

I'm going to the Apple store again because I'm still getting the same issue. When they did the audio test, they said it was only showing an issue on one side, but that wasn't the side I was getting that crackling noise coming from.

They also said there was a charging issue and it could be the Airpods or the case. They said the test couldn't tell.

What were the faults that you had?

    • well the shared watch charger, better find my device, and volume control on the buds itself…. they are worth the upgrade.

  • Great deal. Thanks OP

  • +1

Thanks OP, will cancel my Apple preorder.

  • Wasn't going to upgrade but that's a great deal. Sold!

  • ordered one… need to think how do I use it.

  • wow this is a too attractive price to resist! Thanks OP!

  • Didn’t need one. Ordered.

  • Didn't need one but ordered anyway

  • Why do I have a feeling this is gen 1?

    • -3

Shhh… nobody will be able to tell the difference

      • +1

It'll be pretty obvious - the case has a speaker on it.

        • This is a portable Bluetooth speaker as well?! Apple have knocked out out of the park!… again!

      • The case has speaker and lanyard without putting the headphones in the ears.

        • -1

Thanks for the clarification. I hope the lanyard is included

          • +2

@tharlow: the lanyard most certainly is NOT included…This is The (Apple) Way..

  • Any cashback via CR or SB?

  • Holy shit That’s a steal! Thanks OP!

    • How long before release were the first gen sold for $280 though? I bought my Airpods Pro ver 1 for $399 when they were relatively new and didn't see them sell below that for a while.

      • Yeah, but i already acknowledged that in my comment ("launch price"). Heck.. I waited and paid only $225 ($300 less 25% klarna discount).

        • My point was how long before they get discounted though? If you're willing to wait, everything will get discounted. I'd rather not wait a year to save $100. This is a discounted launch price which I've never seen with Apple products before.

    • +2

Breaking news: Electronics are more expensive at launch than months/years after release (Except the PS5 lol)

      • -4

Again though.. Youre repeating what I already acknowledged. It's an ok launch price.

Headphones don't need to be updated every generation either. If you dont need them right now, don't buy them, as I said.

But somehow people like to repeat me and pretend somehow it's a counter argument…?!

  • This is so cheap at launch it seems really suspicious.

  • I had original pro's and returned them. just can't get a secure fit (went through all the tips included), and the protruding tails or whatever they are called don't help either.

when Apple delivers TWS that sit flush inside the ear, like Galaxy Buds 2 which I love, then I'll try Apple again.

    • My sister said the same thing. She said she tried all the tips on the Pros and couldn't get them to fit and they'd keep coming out. She said the regular style corded earphones fit no problem though.

    • Gotta ram it deep into your ear holes.

      • did that too. the way them tips are designed on this one results in pushing the earpiece out no matter how hard you stick it into the ear hole initially

sometimes I think Apple designed it for a different hole with a different hole in mind, but that's just my personal opinion

    • i replaced mine with memory foam ones. fits perfectly.

  • They mixed up the price with the gen 1 without a doubt.

    • And the stock, when they ship them, probably
