My experience, Used Shopback app & bought $100 gift card for $5 cashback instantly, used it to pay for $80 eBay purchase via app and got $9 cashback approx 12hrs later.
Balance $20 showing as active on eBay account.

e.g. 20 /.12 = $166.67
dont forget that's the price
without GST and delivery fees
with GST it'd be 1.1*166.67~183.34 (that's still without any delivery fees)
I believe that only applies to items from overseas that have GST added. Local purchases it's $166.

Shopback and cash rewards don't give cashback on the GST for any purchase.

@SliverFang Any codes listed on our website on eBay's page are all good to use and won't invalidate Cashback, but any code found that we don't advertise on our end is likely to invalidate.

Today's the third time eBay have cancelled an order during an increased cashback promotion. Aside from hundreds of other successful transactions, these are all the same in that they do not email confirmation, nor does it display in purchase history. Then several hours later they email saying the payment was not successful (when it's with eBay gift card that sounds crazy!).
@chyawala: Hey mate, sorry to hear. Happy to pass the feedback on to our team but this sounds like it might be best addressed by eBay, so might be worth reaching out to their support for more clarity.
@gotyourback: Contacting eBay they seemed unconcerned, saying payment can take a few hours, then the purchase would complete (or more likely cancel and forfeit cashback promotion). They went on to reassure me that gift cards would simply be refunded, but we know that can take days, or for some even months.
Made another order now after cancellation today, different payment methods, and it's the same, hanging on "Payment pending" and "Still processing".
So that others can see what can actually occur during this promo, I think I will post screenshots of what happens on these promo days.

I assume you can use the codes like PLUSNCOC (40 Nespresso capsule holder for $9). This is only 9 items though.
20% off Lenovo is interesting as it technically doesn't have a code to copy, it's just in the title so unsure if this would work.

Best practice is to add them in at time of purchase just to eliminate margin for tracking errors, so I wouldn't if can be avoided.

I can also confirm that the ShopBack browser extension plugin did not turn green. Also, "0 stores found" when you search "eBay" through the plugin.

If I click through to ebay via shopback, go to my ebay, and accept offer, is it valid for cashback?
(Note: this is not the same as best offer, as the offer was proactive from the seller)

… which I don't believe this scenario is. It's a proactive seller offer, not a best offer from a buyer ("Best Offer lets you offer the seller a price you're willing to pay for the item. The seller can accept, reject or counter your offer by suggesting another price.")

If you request an invoice for combined shipping then end up closing the page because it takes a few hours for the seller to respond, does cashback still work? And do you need to click through again?
Shopback extension on Firefox doesn't seem to track/ turn green and unable to search for eBay.
Still went ahead and made a purchase.
Received an email a few hours later stating 'Action required: Your payment needs to be re-sent'.
Used gift cards for purchased and now they are all stuck in limbo.
Very disappointing on all fronts.
Unsure if purchased was tracked but not an issue now.

Update:
Just got off the phone with eBay. Apprently stuff from overseas or listed on ebay.com may or usually cannot be paid for with gift cards.
However its not always certain.
Will be a hit and miss affair, I'm afraid.
Hence the payment issue.
Also advised gift card value will be returned with in no more than 10 days. If not in by then will have to contact them.
Pretty sure they are restricting the use of gift cards more and more.
