  • Signed up online yesterday.
Got a call now that the discount is not available at my address.
    Screw that.

    • According to associated user @occom's statement:

…However, to show our goodwill, Occom will honour the offer for those customers who has successfully registered on Occom website and completed the first payment by 11:59PM AEST, 24 Sep 2022

Did they still call you today to tell you that they will not honor the offer??

Currently stuck on FTTN here, but fibre was recently run down our street. Signed up for this deal, OCCOM called and left a message yesterday to advise FTTP upgrade is not available in our area yet (thanks NBN).

OCCOM's billing system grabbed the first payment today regardless. I rang up, no ETA on FTTP upgrade and they were happy to arrange refund. I said to them I'll keep an eye out for any future deals on OzB when FTTP finally becomes available here.

Will keep OCCOM in mind knowing they have good customer service.

  • Got username and password from Occom at 17:30 yesterday Sunday, my internet with Tpg cut-off, could not reused Tpg Huawei modem. Waiting for Occom delivery new modem.

  • Got a notification of my credit card being charged this morning. No email from OCCOM. 11am my existing NBN connection got disconnected. Messaged OCCOM and was told it'll take 1-3 days to get connection. Pretty poor experience so far…..

    • So after explaining that I was not told the transfer process is going to kill my NBN connection for up to 3 days, they said if I called up then they would have told me…. haha!

UPDATE: Got connected within a couple of hours after my last post. All in all, seamless process filled with uncertainty and stress that would have been non-existent if they have sent some info on the process to begin with.

        • Hi Arronaldo, thanks so much for your feedback and we sincerely apologise for the inconvenience caused.

Could you PM me your customer ID? Our team will investigate the reported case thoroughly and take further actions to improve our service quality. Thanks!

  • Got connected with occom after 5 days of no internet. They said there was an issue with thier upstream provider. But now I’m finding that webpages now load very slowly initially and then fast, with speed tests showing fast speeds. Would someone more technically savvy know if this is a DNS issue? If Occom can’t resolve this in a few days I’ll probably churn to super loop.

    • Hi tdsr, thanks so much for your feedback and we apologise for the inconvenience caused. Could you PM me your customer ID? I will take care of this case. Thanks!

      • Sent, thank you!

  • Really poor experience. Call today from Occom saying my address is not eligible for this price and I need to pay $69.99 a month for 50/20. What was the point of switching if these prices are only for "selected" addresses? Call was from India on a bad line with a woman speaking too fast and very hard to follow. I asked to cancel and now annoyed to have been sucked into this.

    • I bet they got way, way, way more subscribers than they anticipated with no profit margin and are now trying to backtrack to recoup costs. Probably a very good indication of how their business is run. Fly by nighter comes to mind.

    • Hi DRfuzzy, thanks so much for your feedback and we apologise for the inconvenience caused.

As per our previous reply, Occom honoured this offer for all customers who have successfully signed up and completed first payment by 11:59PM AEST, 24 Sep 2022.

For your specific case, could you PM me your customer ID? I will then be able to take it from there. Thanks!

  • Negative experience for me. Signed up on day this deal went live, gave them direct debit details the next day when I checked my emails.
Then receive an email indicating I'm not in their area. Bank gets charged.
    Request for refund.
Get a call from their sales team asking why I cancelled the contract!!!!
    Got refund back.
