    Generally the trade-in codes don't apply to pre-orders. JB hi Fi will need to update the item to no longer be a pre-order. In which case no more pre-order bonus.

        @linkii: I think the second offer comes from Google - who is only offering it on pre-orders before the 13th. I assume JB got it wrong with their '16th' date and it remains to be seen whether they honour it despite google not passing on the credit. I doubt they will.

Just got the pixel coupon even though it wasn't in the trade in email initially! Copy the link to the Samsung devices 350 off, and where it says tile=4 change that to tile=2 and go to that link in your browser. You'll then get emailed the coupon.

E.g. From

      Trade-in orders that are cancelled, may also mean coupon cancellation. when they refer to coupon they're referring to the $300. So take "may" be cancelled as you wish, I probably wouldn't be risking it though. Or at least don't open the phone until you're sure they won't charge back that $300. Otherwise you've paid full price.

        @BeerCrisp: Hi, not sure that interpretation would be correct but appreciate the heads up. If you read the Ts and Cs on the SquareTradeUp site it says:
        
        "5. Shipment of Your Device
        …
        If You do not hand over Your Device (properly packaged as described herein) to Our nominated freight provider within seven (7) days of the Offered Date, We will charge the Offered Trade-In Value to Your Payment Card. If the charge is unsuccessful, We will continue to charge Your Payment Card until We have recovered payment of the Offered Trade-in Value."
        
        When you check out on SquareTradeUp they give you the same warning "If our Returns Depot does not receive your device(s) within 14 business days of your issued JB Hi-Fi trade-in credit, SquareTrade will charge the value of the JB Hi-Fi Trade-in credit to your credit card."
        
        They are only authorised to charge the trade-in value to your card, not the $300 coupon value.
        
        I suspect the reference to cancelling the coupon is where it is unused at the time the trade in order is cancelled. Happy to be corrected though.

JB & SquareTrade may have picked up on it last time and either don't care about it or will start charging for the $300, time will tell! Personally, I purchased a second hand Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 for $80 and will trade in for $60, so will get $280 total value. But personally would rather lose out on $20 than risk the $300!

I was bit confused , so here is how it worked for me
As soon as I finished Tradein , I received an email with Trade in credit (with card number and PIN like a gift card)
Also in that email with a link for bonus trade in credit of $300 , after clicking the link , you receive another email with bonus trade in voucher.

When you order from Jbhifi

Add the phone to the cart the first apply the bonus $300 coupon , then go to payment options and apply the trade in card number and PIN at gift card option and complete the purchase by paying the remaning with your payment card

Got an email with order confirmation first
2 min later , another email with ready to collect :)

Worked for me. The JB checkout was being a bit strange and it took a few goes to stack the $300 coupon with a $600 voucher i'd grabbed from Shopback. But it did go through eventually. Now to see if i get the free google goodies :)

I ordered the phone, used the $300 voucher, all is well and good. But then they sent me another $300 voucher for the pixel 7, so now I have an extra, as well as the initial $350 Samsung coupon they gave me first. Now I’ve got an unused pixel 7 coupon and an unused Samsung coupon, all from the one trade-in I did. Am I eligible to actually use these coupons? I’m afraid they’ll stir up trouble for abusing their system.
