    Tensor 2 is not making on 4nm. It is the same as Tensor 1 making on 5nm and using exynos 2100 3 years ago. Tensor 2 is just twist the speed of their cores. That why Google does not talk much about the Tensor in their introduction. I won’t buy Google pixel 7 which is just equivalent to Samsun galaxy s21 that is 3 years old.

      I think real life use trumps what's on paper. If they've optimised the software to utilise that chipset then that's perfectly fine. Not a big deal if it's not the latest and greatest nowadays, it's still well sufficient to do the job.

    Went to my local JBHIFI Moore park and they said there shouldn't be any issues double dipping the deal tomorrow, one is JBHIFI deal and one is a Google deal so they don't counter each other out. Only thing to note is that in store it said the pre-order deal ends on the 13th not the 16th in their store.

        Yeah I havn't really been impressed with this phone, software issues and you need to shake the camera to get it to focus. Common issue.

        Best phone I have used was my OG Pixel.

        Yeah, though 28 degrees card will only be charged the $999 / $1299 - ($300 + device credit), so Pixel would have to drop more then $300 + device credit to be eligible for price protection drops? + the extra $125 cashback, seems doing it all now provides more value than price protection.

          Guess so, Just dont see how you're meant to pre-order today (for example), before you get the trade in discount. I thought your card would get a deduction of $999 or is it just a hold?

          There could be a new model out this time next year, but having said that haven't seen any crazy deductions for the pixel 6 so may be too early to rely on a price drops buying the 7 this early hey?

          Note with the 28 degrees price protection you can claim pro-rata based on what you put on your 28degrees card even if you pay a portion with gift cards etc.
          E.g if the phone is $1000 and you pay $500 on gift cards and $500 on 28degrees you can still make a claim if the phone drops to $900. Instead of you getting the full $100 difference in price, you will get a 50% of the difference($50) as that is what you put on your 28degrees card.

          So in the case of this deal you would still be making a % of the payment on the card which is what you can still claim.

                  @G-rig: The Shopback deal really doesn't have anything to do with the Pixels, it's just fortunate timing, don't think it's intending to encourage anyone for the Pro. Even if you got 2 x $500 gift cards and used one for the phone and slowly used the other for groceries over the next couple of months you're still in the same position saving $145 on the phone from the cashback if you want to look at it that way.

                    Cheers may have to get some tomorrow perhaps or just 1x 500$ for the pixel. Don't want the pro or spend much more than $700, qs the Pixel 5 is great, just a refresh.

                    I use CDC visa for misc shopping, 2% cashback but Cronos worth fk All.

                    Just pay off 28d within 55d.

      I got a code today after trading in yesterday, but it required several emails to the support team, and the code is only valid to be used tomorrow onwards.

      So may as well trade in tomorrow and they'll just email you the code link alongside the norma JB credit

    I have some questions that I hope someone here can clarify please:
    1) I have 2 devices totaling a $600 tradein voucher at JBHIFI (zflip3 $400 + s20plus $200). Can both of my devices be used for this trade in offer? Meaning the price I'd be paying for the Pixel 7 would be $1000 - $300 - $200 - $400 = $100.
    2) Can I trade them in now and make the order tomorrow for the pixel 7 or do I have to trade the devices in while the pixel 7 $300 tradein offer is active?
    3) Do I need to provide my credit card details to obtain the tradein value of the devices? I'm worried about the potential situation where they'd say they found something defective about the device and charge extra money to my account.
    4) How do I apply the $600 tradein voucher when the deal goes live tomorrow, in order to get the extra $300 bonus?

    Thanks in advance, I looked through the FAQ but my head's too buzzed after work to understand much of it.

      You will get a form of gift cards for your phones value, so this you can enter as usual during checkout under gift card claims, then the voucher is in the basket, where you apply unique code for the bonus $300 voucher.

        The $300 bonus coupons get sent out automatically from tomorrow for new trade ins.

        If you traded in before that (like I did) you need to reply to the coupon code email and request a Pixel 7 bonus code.

      They won't send out Pixel 7 coupons until tomorrow though, so you'll need to email the Square Trade support people if you've already done the transaction and received the JB voucher.

      Probably a good enough price but pretty rubbish considering was $800.
      Will see how it pans out, would probably only get $100-150 more selling privately but could always not send back and sell.

        The 300$ plus 220$ trade in (pixel 5) isn't too good to be true.. getting the Google TV+hub+ $100 as well is though.

        If i can sell the phone for more than the trade in may still do that and let them just charge $220

        The trade is mainly to get the $300 off RRP, so people with a $1 phone trade in do a bit better.

        The thing will be if you can add multiple vouchers and gift certificates.. may have to go in store/

          Should be able to.

          The additional pre-order bonuses are given out ~7 days after purchase so there isn't the issue of having to apply multiple codes at checkout when purchasing the phone. "We'll email you a coupon, instructions, and gift card, within 7 business days after pre-order completion".
