BRO, it's just a sensor night lamp, literally no other functions at all. This sort of stuff sells on aliexpress for $1-$3 each.

    • yes, each to their own I guess, but I bought a set of 5 for $15 from Aldi last week.

      • That would be junk. Wait till you get them. But you wont know what consider as good quality if you never have this xiaomi lights

        • Absolutely not junk.
I have some of these https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/414881 and some of these https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/721922 . I really like the latter for using AA batteries instead of AAA.
Other than that they are comparable to the ones I got from Aldi. I would say the motion sensor works better on Aldi lights in my use case.

they are all a bit different design, so installation in specific situations may give one a benefit over the other.

          • @ripprind: I have both of those as well, but consider these ones to be superior due to the range of mounting options and built-in rechargeables.

How do you find the Aldi cheapo’s by comparison?

            • +1

              @UncleRico:

              built-in rechargeables.

until the battery has worn out

            • -1

@UncleRico: off topic - Love your shirts bro

            • @UncleRico: I find built in rechargeable a disadvantage myself and try to avoid it.
But overall they all tend to have like a one second lag from when you get to the sensor field of view to when it turns on. This makes them less useful in hallways and paths, because by the time they turn on I have already stepped past it.
Also they all seem to turn off for a second or two and then on again even if you remain in field of view - even when moving around moderately.

  • I need something to use on outdoor steps for lighting. Solar charging would be ideal, don't want to change batteries and running power cables is too much hassle. Thanks in advance for your help

    • +3

Using Solar Sensor Shed Light from Aldi for that type of task. Something Aldi does well. Love them!
Normally $15 when Aldi sell them, bought 4 more on clearance $8 each.

Motion activated light on for 90s, or stays on if further movement detected. (No need for 'hand waiving'!)

Uses small solar panel, 2.3m lead, 900mAh lithium battery, strong light (not just a dim nightlight - so direct away from eyes).

Have installed inside & outside front door (no existing light or power there - saved cost of electrician!), & in ensuite - all charged from panels on gutter. Very handy as turn on easily with movement at night. Rarely need to use main lights.

Modified kitchen one to charge from USB as taking lead to roof was difficult (removed solar panel & added USB plug). No need for more light at night to make a hot drink. Other low power USB task lights now provide lighting for food prep.

Have in walk in wardrobe, but as has no power - swap weekly for another in garage charged from solar panel there.

Works well, but light needs to be under cover as found not waterproof. Original ones have lasted 5 years so far
Discussed my experience in those linked Deals.

"Suitable for toilet, restroom, bathroom" how long is the timer? I don't want to do the leg kick dance after 30 seconds when it turns off.

    https://www.binglee.com.au/products/eufy-lumi-stick-on-night…

    • Eufy cheap agree but this xiaomi is better its has hook and magnet and sticker so easy to move around

    • If you own these, could you give a small review?

      • +2

Great rechargeable light with two settings. On - permanently at 100% or Sensor - at 50% for 15 second bursts based on a movement sensor ranging around five meter x 140 degree. Sensor mode throws ample light for navigating a dark hallway or hitting the middle of the bowl in the middle of the night.

Each one includes a USB to mini USB charging cable. Recharge quickly on mini USB, with average battery lifespan of approx 6 months based on two-three triggers per night on sensor mode.

Come with option of magnet, retractable hanger hook or sticker for easy mounting anywhere.

I have eight from a previous deal around this price approx two years ago, and every one of them still work fine.

        Great product.

        • +1

Uncle review is for the xiaomi not eufy.
And yes i agree totally. Except for the price xiaomi wins

    Buyer Beware:
    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/698714
    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/720196

I bought during the first deal. It was delayed heaps.
I emailed them a few times, and also tried to contact the rep here. No answer.
Very poor customer service. Have a read of the comments.
I eventually got delivery though… almost 4 months later.
I think I would have no hope if there was something wrong with the light.

As for the light itself, I think it's a good, versatile product. Stays on for about 15 seconds when on sensor mode. Light is not too bright and great during the middle of the night.

    • Will be on time for next winter 😀

    • Same experience as well. Their customer service is SHOCKING and the rep here never ever replied to any comments or DMs.

So basically this is a marketing plot to make people visit their store.

Typical chinese businesses. Full of tricks

      worked for me!

  • +4

Why can't we have free delivery?

  • If you don't care about how long it takes to get here - once you include the shipping on this deal (which seems to have expired now anyway) it would be cheaper just buying them off Aliexpress. $21.78 with shipping for me.

    • You forget the gst
      ..
Yeah they are expensive.. but good… blame the aud usd currency

    • If you receive them from Aliexpress.

I was a diamond level member and could handle the long lead times, but have given up on AliExpress over the past year due to the significant volume of false tracking, seller follow ups requiring more money for “unexpected postage surcharges” and product which was never received and/or never resolved tracking information.

Pay the small premium and don’t get taken for a dodgy AliExpress ride…

  • Was $33.99 LMAO you can literally get these type lights at local bunnings for like $10-$15. Plus you actually get to speak to bunnings customer service if anything goes wrong, these guys have history of not responding to customers for months and months.

Their cs is a bit hit and miss. My friend bought some months ago and they were defective/faulty. He said cs agreed to exchange but had no stock, so they would contact him once ut was available again….they never contacted him, answered calls or responded to emails

  • +2

Bought this light at the last deal and it was faulty. Returned the light to their customer return. Emailed and followed up several times with no response. To say disappointment with their customer service is an understatement. Buyers beware.

    • +2

In fairness, I bought it previously as well - no issues. I do know their customer service is non existant though.

    • I returned a defective light to them after they agreed to exchange it. They collected the return, kept my money and never sent a replacement. Literally weeks of ignored calls and emails. Will never buy from them again.

      • Very similar thing happened to my friend as well. Lights were faulty/defective and he was told they would exchange it when they had more stock but they didn't contact him or respond whenever he contacted them

  • are these made by Kanye?

  • Wow great service received today thanks

  • Bought 4 and received yesterday. I expected them to be much bigger, kind of glad they're not. Very cute and liked these ones because l liked the idea in the video - attach to bed and they can be carried around the house and stuck back when finished.

  • Too late
