      RRP @ microsoft store can be bought with 10% off Xbox gift card.
      I think it's better than other bundle / RRP price deal.

      I've been waiting for Microsoft store to restock since missing previous batch and thanks to OP, I finally pulled my trigger today. That's why I upvoted this deal.

        Nice have fun! I like the look of a cheap xbox series S personally, but for $649, or just $200 more than a sale S, for an X is really good.

        Is there a limit to how many xbox gift cards you can buy via shopback? I am getting an error message about detecting some unusual activity on the account. Have emailed support but the auto-response said 1 - 2 days for reply.

            It's my first time using ShopBack. I was able to purchase 5 cards and after that keep getting an error message saying:

            "Payment Unsuccessful
            We've detected some unusual activity and couldn't proceed. Please try again later, or contact our customer service team for help. "

            I logged a support request with ShopBack last night, followed up a twice since. I've been told they have escalated the issue. 21 hours since the initial support request and escalation, and still waiting for a resolution. I've spoken with my credit card provider and they report nil issues or holds from their end.

              @mapes: Wondering if its related to the number of payment cards added in a short timeframe, as I only got the "unusual activity" message when tryng to use the 4th Coles card. There was nothing wrong with that card, as I have since used it elsewhere.
              A couple of the previously added cards on my SB account still had $50 remaining, and I didn't have any trouble reusing them after the message occurred, purchasing 2 x $50 Xbox cards.
              So if I had to do this whole exercise again, looks like I would use 3 full Coles $250 cards, and buy 6 x $100 + 3 x $50 Xbox cards.
              Anyway, the Xbox has been ordered.

    Serious Question: what are the perks of getting one of these today.. are there any good xbox exclusives or features besides it maybe taking less space than a pc and more easy to use for the non pc literate group?

      Well you can run multiple characters in some games, ARK Survival for example. Handy if you're the type who likes to have a "crafter" or "baggage" toon.

      I feel the choice comes down to 2 main (very simplified) reasons:

      1. You love a couch/beanbag/bed over a chair.

      2. The PC is a "personal computer", it can't be as easily shared with other household members like a console. This reason can also include the economic side as (for example) 3 kids = 3 PC's or 1 Console.

      I guess the perks over pc are larger catalogue of old backwards compatible games if that is of interest unless you want to emulate on pc and also some games are ported poorly to pc whereas they are usually optimized well on console albeit at lower frame rates. Lower initial investment too for a comparable desktop but obviously PCs can do much more overall. As far as I am aware no new Microsoft games in the future will be console only all will be on pc as well.

    OK, Serious Question.
    If we have XBox gamepass and a good gaming PC's. What benefit is the latest XBox console? Whatever the newest best one is (I'm not too sure).

    As far as I can see we can play all XBox games on the PC. Is there a benefit apart from having a 75" screen lounge setup vs a 32" desk setup?

    We already have an XBox One, PS4 and PS4 Pro, Nintendo Switches etc etc.

      If you already have the PC hardware, then this would just be an added expense that would give no benefit IMO. It would be a different proposition if you were having to choose one or the other (and a lot more questions), but it seems you just want to know if it will be an upgrade over your current setup - which it won't.
