          Hmmm got too excited and purchased ohhh well, it's wait and see with Amex, but still wanted it either way. Hoping that it still counts and as the site really mentioned in the terms is "Microsoft Online" where the page goes to the business solutions, where you can still access Xbox Series X through its search and it's not in any of exclusion, like the student discount that calls out can't be used for Xbox consoles lol I'll keep an eye out and have my fingers crossed to see if I get the credit.

    Kind of unrelated but it looks like PS5 is becoming more available. The Horizon Dawn bundle has been in stock for a few days now. It might be because it’s just shy of $900 but it’s good that customers aren’t willing to pay anything to get it anymore

    Here's why I decided on an Xbox Series X instead of PS5 this gen (historically I've swung back and forth between Sony and MS).

    • The Series X is cheaper
    • The Series X is more powerful
    • The Series X design is nicer (to my eyes)
    • More robust backwards compatibility
    • Gamepass Ultimate can be had very cheap (ie; 3 years for less than the price of a single Sony first party game)
    • Big fan of some of the studios MS now owns
    • Not that into the direction Sony is taking PS these days (ie; no more Wipeout, shutting Japan Studios etc)

    Best bang for your buck is probably wait for a sale or good cashback on a Series S and get cheap gamepass. You could go years without needing to spend another dollar. If you have a PS4 or XB1 think about trading in soon while you can still get $300+ dollars for them. The price will drop once these consoles are readily available, so those rates won't last too much longer.

          It doesn’t use any memory or slow the system down. It’s pretty seemless, maybe 10 seconds to switch games.

          It doesn’t work very well for multiplayer games though.

      This gen has only just started. We're only now starting to see current gen exclusives coming through (outside of a few Sony games from the last two years) and lots of the big upcoming games are still cross-gen. Maybe we'll get a mid generation refresh in a couple of years. I wouldn’t expect a price drop until maybe this time next year if we're lucky (once the new Nintendo console launches).

    What an awful deal! Only little kids and soy boys who can't game on PC would buy one of these, I could make a better console with my eyes shut.

    Besides, everytime I buy an Xbox, I find that my Controllers start to smell little bit funny after a few weeks and that vibration settings change randomly while at uni. I asked my GF if she's playing on it while I'm not there, but she swears she doesn't game.

    So, f you xbox and your funky but faintly familiar smelling Controllers.
