    Thanks op

    Thanks bought 2

  • +1

I'm pretty sure this fan doesn't work very well with alexa or google. You might be able to turn it on and off but that's it, you can't control the speed or anything like that.

  • Estimated delivery Tue 25 Oct - Thu 27 Oct

I thought I missed it again, I posted the deal first and then placed my order lol

  • +3

Thanks, order 2 for my parents. Got xiaomi mifan 2 and this at home, xiaomi's quality is tad better but this one come with remote and cheaper. Definately worth $53 each.

  • +5

Doh, I bought two of the PCBYTE deal just a few hours ago..

I quite like these fans, especially for smaller places. They're very quiet (almost inaudible) under 40% power.

  • +11

Have one of these, it has a little rattle sort of sound as the fan blade is not balanced. Wish i didn't buy it, like the bigger Kogan one better.

    • +17

I am not a big fan

      • +1

        Cool cool 😎

    • +9

Yeah I actually bought this the other day and was actually delivered today.

I'm finding the same thing. The fan blade is unbalanced so when it spins, it just rattles like crazy.

Pretty poor quality. If the fans were balanced, this would be a 10/10 product. With the rattling…. maybe a 6.5/10

It's no longer quiet so kinda defeats the purpose of a dc fan.

      • +1

Yeah exactly. They probably know it has quality control issue and wholesale dumping them here.

        • Only good at less than 25% or higher than 80%.

Anything in between, I can hear the rattle and it does get annoying. Sounds like a AC fan. That loud ehhhrrrrhhhrr / rattle rattle ratlee.

There's no way to fix it because the hole on the fan blade is off by a few mm.

Apparently there's a newer model of this. The 11 blade. This one is the older 9 blade and has quality issues.

        • +1

Why don't you guys make a claim for refund or replacement?

          • +2

@choory: I already threw the box out, but ill try and stuff around with it this weekend and see if i can use a little metal clip or blutac or something to try and balance it better. Failing that i will make a video and raise with seller.

            • +1

@sidoz: I hope to you fixed that.
I always store almost home appliances boxes, even 65" tv box too(in garage for house moving in the future). Except fridge and washing machine boxes, they are too big.

          • +4

@choory: Waste of my time/effort. I'll just stick with it.

But yeah I wouldn't recommend this product. Got mass wide quality issues hence why they price dumping it.

The newer 11 blade model is better.

      • +2

        Cheers, this is deal breaker.

        Will wait for Xiaomi.

        • +1

The 19$ bunnings fan lasted 4 years, I can give it to you for free. I have two lol

      • thanks for the feedback, ill be buying it and balance it myself,

    • +2

My kogan dc fan makes creaking sounds at one end of the oscillation, plastic on plastic friction.

Super annoying, but otherwise decent enough and still working after 2 years (remote is gobshite though)

  • +3

    Awesome deal, OP - thanks!

Purchasing two of these was a breeze…

    • +3

You can now rotate between the two of them

  • +1

Amazing deal thanks OP. One for me and one for the lil one

Thanks bought 2. Summer is coming

  • +1

    is this wireless?

    • Yes

    • +2

No, it has 1.5m power cord.
Instead you can use wireless app control

    • No battery like the xiaomi.

  • +1

What's the difference between this one and the xiaomi one?

    • +1

I have this and xiaomi mifan 2 (can't speak for other models), they are very similar, xiaomi is better quality but this one
      come with remote,
more physical buttons on the fans,
fans can tilt 180 degree (if anyone need this feature),
      cheaper (at least atm)

I use the same apps on my ipad and phone to control both fans, sometimes use remote on this one.

      • +1

        It doesn't have remote controler.
        Description never mentioned remote.

        • So you're doubting the person who actually owns the fan and rely on a half baked description?

          • +1

@m9: Because there are so many variations of Viomi and Xiaomi tower fan.
Almost same design with different function.
Latest Viomi tower fan is 5 gen in Korea but sales it named Mijia tower fan.
Normally not mentioned that in Aus but in Korea do. I have no idea in China.
I also very confues when I'm researching Xiaomi ecosystem products before buy.

I will apologise to @stevelo if it came with remote controler.

            • +1

@choory: it's ok, i could be wrong too as i mentioned last post :)

              • +3

                @stevelo: @stevelo @m9 @plasmoske and others
                Sorry guys!
I think I gave you wrong info related remote controler follow owner's comments. Sorry.

I hope to come with remote controler on my order too.

            • +2

@choory: Nah no apologies needed just casual conversation. I too bought this fan and it does have a very plasticky remote control. The entire fan is plasticky.

            • +1

@choory: Mine has a remote control.

        • +1

I just purchased few weeks ago from difference shop, it didn't mention remote included but someone said there is remote. My one come with remote, not sure about this one.
https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/726001 someone mentioned he got the remote too in discussion, so it should be. But i could be wrong

      • Is the fan size the same as the Xiaomi? I have xiaomi 2s, xiaomi have battery this one doesn't

        • I didn't put them next to each other, but they are very similar hight and size compared to my xiaomi 2. I didn't measure the weight but i think this one is lighter, not like xiaomi fan got metal for the tube, this one is plastic.

  • +3

This doesn't work with google home

    • +1

Ok but will it work in my home?

  • +1

    Thanks OP bought 2.

NOTE: code PLOCT17 only works for ebay plus members.

  • Thanks OP, bought 2

  • Anyone wants to split in brisbane ?

    • Considering it!

    • +2

This is not a split system

      • Just need half a fan

    • Where in Brisbane are you?

  • +1

Before buying make sure you check out the ebay feedback counts and when this revision of the company started on ebay…..

    • Huh?

      • -2

So you are new to ebay?

    • "when this revision of the company"

Are you confirming they are Panmi/Luckymi the official distributor of Xiaomi stuff in Australia?

Is there something we should know?

      • So you checked out the feedback counts and when they started on ebay?

        • Yeah actually I posted about this seller in forums back when they only had 1 feedback.
Decided not to buy from them or post a deal because I wasn't sure.

Then now I look at the deal history and there have been a few deals posted from this seller. And now the seller has more feedback.

In one of the deals, a more experienced ozbargain user (who I have chatted back and forth to before) says they are a eBay store run by "Panmi" which are official Xiaomi distributor in Australia with multiple warehouses across the country.

I just thought you had more insider information to confirm whether this was true, or not.

          • @harshbdmmaster718: No. You know as much as I do. I would not buy from them as they have only setup the ebay store on 17 August 2022 and if they were official distributors then they would (should) have been in the distribution business for a few years.

Distributors do not normally sell to end users as it pisses the retailers that they distribute to, unless the stuff is used/demo/scrated&dent or superseded stock. The stuff looks new, so I would wait and see if they are around in say 2 months time.

            • @AndyC1: Yeah I am in the same position as you then.. still not sure.
But read my other comment with the link to the over 3 weeks ago deal. Delivery date estimate was 1 week from purchase date, so surely people would complain if they had not received anything?

        • If users did not get what they order, surely there would be mentions of it and some negative feedback at the bottom of the comments here in this deal from over 3 weeks ago?
          https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/727121

          • @harshbdmmaster718: Strange that they now have nothing to sell as it's all out of stock.

            • @AndyC1: Actually I have been watching the store once a week or so for over a month. And this is the second time that has happened. But they came back.
My guess is they are trying to limit the number of units they sell? Because Luckymi have their own official store on eBay with the same products but at higher prices, so I think they are playing some kind of "clearance" game.

              • @harshbdmmaster718: Yep, the product has a "rattle" issue so their likely dumping the stock while they can via a different ebay account.

                • @infinite: Yeah not entirely sure what's going on, but there is confirmation of item received on the Temp/Humidity monitor deal I linked above. But another comment confirms batteries were not included, but package was sealed. So maybe different stock where customers complained of no battery? Surely those who pay less will not complain of the missing battery.

      • Yes the store is operated by Panmi. Panmi is the official Xiaomi distributor in Australia.

  • does it rattle or should i just take a risk as i got one before and it’s good so far

    • -1

Don't switch it to rattle snake mode and it won't

  • +1

Thanks OP. I’ve been looking for a pair for awhile now.

    • +1

      Fans or onlyfans?

  • Thanks OP, Ordered 2 - good find.

  • smart crap

  • got 2 ..🤞

  • +1

I hope the seller honours it. Pretty newish seller but let's see!

  • Bought this fan in one of the previous deals. It is quite short so would be the right height for pointing at you while sitting down or lying in bed but feels like it wouldn't be tall enough to actively move air around in a room for general circulation.

  • I just missed it :((
