I missed buying it last time, so now I am buying two to get this most wanted FAN on Ozbargains :D

You can pay with the gift card to get another 3$ down, so basically it's about 52$ a fan if you buy two.

  • do people not have aircon in their houses?

do people not have aircon in their houses?

People don't have $$$ for aircon

      • Indeed.

And some don't even have houses…

        • Fan can cool you down in this weather, don't have to recycle indoor air. I prefer fresh air circulation. Of course, ac in summers is must in Sydney weather. Just like a dehumidifier in winters 😂

    • Sometimes I don't want the air con. For example, it's winter and I might need a gentle breeze so I can sleep.

Or maybe I'm at the desk and want some air.

Or the air con is on but at a avg temp, so I want more cooling, so I use the fan in combination with the aircon.

Being a DC fan, it's also low power usage.

      • +1

I can't take aircon to sleep, just uncomfortable.

  • Which is better for small room? Pedestal fan, tower fan or floor fan?

    • +1

Depends, do you want the air to be blowing under your bed and on your feet and kicking up dust bunnies, or somewhere more sensible?

Seriously, a tower fan is better for most purposes because it directs the airflow around your torso, or on top of rather than under your bed, or more or less anywhere else you want to point it such as in front of an open window to blow the hot air out of your house in the evening after a hot day.

The only real reason to get something other than a pedestal fan is if you don't like the look, or if you're looking for something small that takes up less storage space over winter, or maybe if you don't have the floor space and need to sit it on a table somewhere.

  • Anyone got dispactch notice? Thanks.

    • Not yet

    • +1

      Just got the dispatch email.

    • Got shipping notice now. Thanks guys. Hope everything is good.

If it helps I ordered something else from the same seller and I already got it. I guess I am just closer to them than you are.

  • Estimated delivery Mon 31 Oct.

Got mine today. Set one up. I'm not too blown away by the build quality. Some bits are dirty and looks like someone has tried peeling the stickers. So I suspect it may be a return.

Anyway, it's a fan as advertised. No rattle sound but the screwing the fan in place is not centred properly so it wobbles. Also, the screw direction is opposite.

      I'm not too blown away

      Pardon the pun.

Also, the screw direction is opposite.

The reverse thread is normal for fan blades.

I've lowered my quality expectations so I'm not left disappointed.

      • The pun was not intentional, I swear.

The reverse thread is normal for fan blades.

I figured that out and it is marked on the plastic. It's been a while since I put a fan together so was just a warning to fellow dummies like me. I was a bit cavalier in putting it all together and ignored instructions until I got stuck.

    • I ordered something else from this seller and to be honest I am very happy for the lowest historical price I paid.
I can also confirm though, the item had like tiny amounts of dust? on it. Honestly not an issue at all, they were like two 1cm spots of dust and I just brushed it off with my hand and it is clean as new. The product works as new and as described. Can't fault the seller at all.

Also everything else in the package was sealed, as in parts were in sealed bags etc so I don't think it's a return.
Possibly the box was opened to be inspected?? Either that or they just have a really dusty warehouse and a tiny amount of dust made it's way into the packaging.

  • Just received the pair and works well. Near silent on first 2 speed modes.

If anyone in the ACT missed out, I'm happy to part with the second one at the deal price.
