I have unsubscribed to JB HiFi perks marketing emails. Is there any way to access this voucher?

    • Or to resubscribe to their marketing emails?

    • If you unsubscribed, you already missed out on this voucher.

For future ones, you will need to resubscribe.

      https://support.jbhifi.com.au/hc/en-au/articles/461719647143…

The website say you can email them to unsubscribe, I assume you should be able to email them to subscribe back on.

  • Yep, I got this invite via email, and accepted it. $10 now in my account! Woohoo!

  • +2

Just read the t & c. Explains why some didn't get the perks voucher:

JB Hi-Fi will automatically terminate your JB Hi-Fi Perks membership if you do any of the following:
    - delete your email address and/or phone number from your JB Hi-Fi account;
    - delete your JB Hi-Fi account; or
    - unsubscribe from JB Hi-Fi Perks communications.

    https://support.jbhifi.com.au/hc/en-au/articles/461719647143…

    • I deleted my mobile number and unsubscribed from the Perks membership almost immediately after signing up for the initial $10 voucher.

I still received this $10 voucher today - so there appears to be no rhyme or reason to who gets it.

  • Targeted to those who had receiving emails from JBH on obviously

  • Most likely targetted. I did not receive one last wave, but got one this wave, with no changes. That, and JB HiFi customer service told me it was targeted.

    • It is targeted I can confirm.

I signed up, used two in a row then I didn't get this one until months later. I think they didn't include me in 1 or 2 $10 coupons so far.

  • +3

I got some pop vinyls, JB have 2 + 1 free deal and a few POP are $5 so can get 3 of them for free.

  • I usually receive perk deals from JB but I haven’t gotten this in my email yet.

  • Gonna need more ideas on what to get aside from mugs and the $10 circle light and SD cards

  • +1

Got the email at 19:02. Good that they only ask for birth month and first name.

Free $10 voucher will stack nicely with the JB eVouchers I’ve opted for from the occasional Virgin Money credit card promos. Probably have earned about $100 worth of JB vouchers from those deals.

  • +3

Have gotten all previous emails from JB perks including most recent Soundbar one, but seems that I haven't received this one yet.

    • +1

Same here soundbar was last one I got curious why some are getting these and some not

    • +1

the bose soundbar? that means you didnt get the g82 perk code a week ago

    • +1

      same, did not recieved this.
When I login it ask me to put the birth month

Last email was about the soundbar

  • Maybe I should spend less and I get one just like other websites do

    • +1

Don't think thats how it works, haven't spent a single dollar at JBHIFI and still didn't get the coupon

    • +2

I bought the $200 Motorola G82 5G a week ago, and I still got this perks code.

  • +1

I bought a barista pro less than 6 months ago for $790 and other things before that and didn't get the code. Don't see why this isn't marked as targeted…. It obviously is?

  • +1

I'm gonna use mine on a calendar for next year. 👍

  • Hi XXX,
Unfortunately, your recent order of $0.00 has failed our verification process and been cancelled.
We have not processed any payment
However please note that a pre-authorisation may still appear in your account as a pending transaction which is usually released by your bank within 1 - 3 business days.
    Why has this happened?
Our verification process is crucial in protecting your online purchases with us. The verification of online orders is a necessary measure for the type of goods you have ordered due to the frequency at which illegal transactions are made by unauthorised persons, who are not the original cardholder.
. incorrect name, email address, address details or use of characters/symbols in the name fields
. you purchased from overseas (some products can only be purchases from Australia or New Zealand)
. the country your credit card was issued from
. you used a VPN or proxy IP during checkout
For more information on how we process order cancellations, please see Section 6 of our terms of sale.
If this was a mistake: Please email [email protected] with your order #JB-12886839 so we can help out as soon as possible.
    The JB Support Team

Happened to all my accounts after the purchase.

    • That's not good. Did you use the vouchers from your email or the ones from others?

    • Yeah happened to me too, seems the servers only allow one purchase per IP address within a reasonable time frame.

        • I wonder if it's store dependent and staff are cancelling orders when they suspect the same person has multiple accounts.

          • @trixieb: Doesnt make sense for stores to cancel order prior to payment, since it wouldn't even have reached the store yet.

These points are fairly specific in terms of what is causing the issue:

            • incorrect name, email address, address details or use of characters/symbols in the name fields
            • you purchased from overseas (some products can only be purchases from Australia or New Zealand)
            • the country your credit card was issued from
            • you used a VPN or proxy IP during checkout

What items are you buying? Does the voucher cover whole amount? How are you paying for the excess (if applicable)? Does the payment method name (i.e. credit card) match the account holder? Are you using VPN to block something? Using Pi-hole? some secure browser that blocks cookies/ads?

          • +1

@trixieb: Unlikely. They use Riskified. Says at the bottom of the cart.

"All purchases are fraud protected by Riskified: For your security minimal transaction data is shared with Riskified who aggregate this data together with data collected from other eCommerce merchants to provide fraud detection and other services to us and Riskified's other clients.

^ Discounts apply to current ticketed/advertised price. As we negotiate on price, products are likely to have sold below ticketed/advertised price.

        • hmm I ordered at 2 separate stores with different mobile, email… except name. One order was on regular chrome the other on incognito. Only the incognito order went through. I suppose it could be the store cancelling the order but the cancellation came through in less than 30 seconds and I ordered again in around 5 min and it went through fine.

          • @DOGGYWOWWOW: Are you trying to use the same code for 2 different orders?

            • @CodeXD: Yep, first try didn't work (only one order got confirmed), but when I tried a second time with 2 IP addresses (wifi + 4g) both orders went through with 1 coupon.

  • "as I received on all accounts" 😉 tell us you're a hustler without telling us.

  • Has any november-OZB’rs managed to get the birthday perk yet?

    • I just put my month in. I reckon it's unlikely

  • Yeah I did not get this in any of my accounts. I did get July codes in all of my accounts but I did not use them, could that be why?

    • I used my July code but upon checking I stopped getting perks emails since mid august for some reason.
I logged into my account, I'm still a perks member and not unsubscribed.

      • Is your mobile number verified?

        • Yes, showing a green verified label next to it.

  • Can anyone telle.how does it work? I Did use $10 perk voucher a while ago. Can I get again this time?

    • Assuming you were targeted, you should have gotten a unique code in your email

  • Immortals Fenyx Rising for Switch is $19 at the moment (i.e. $9 with the Perks voucher)

Yesterday JB Hi-Fi officially launched the Perks program to everyone.

"JB Hi-Fi’s new membership program, JB Hi-Fi Perks launched early this year in Western Australia on a trial, but it has now officially launched across the rest of the country and it actually offers some decent incentives.
Upon sign up you’ll get a $10 welcome voucher for use online or in-store, there will be member only discounts going forward and you’ll also get early sale notifications in your email before they start. There’s also a birthday perk (we’re not sure what that is yet) and obviously the ability to store all receipts digitally."

    https://press-start.com.au/news/2022/11/09/jb-hi-fi-perks-ha…

5 May: In an email sent to one of our team members, the email reads: “You’re part of a select group of customers that we’re inviting to help test our new membership program, JB Hi-Fi Perks. This is a pilot so it’s not available to everyone. Join now, and you’ll start receiving benefits straight away.”

    https://press-start.com.au/news/2022/05/05/jb-hi-fi-perks-is…

T&Cs: Note that if you join JB Hi-Fi Perks in the month of your birthday, you will not be eligible to receive a birthday perk until the following calendar year

JB Hi-Fi will automatically terminate your JB Hi-Fi Perks membership if you do any of the following:

    • delete your email address and/or phone number from your JB Hi-Fi account;
    • delete your JB Hi-Fi account; or
    • unsubscribe from JB Hi-Fi Perks communications.

    https://support.jbhifi.com.au/hc/en-au/articles/461719647143…

I'm trying to work out why some haven't received the recent Perks emails. We are in WA and signed up to Perks in May during the trial that was meant for WA customers. At the time, there was no birthday incentive. Stores here have signs advertising Perks since June/July. Non-WA residents have managed to sign up with the link. I checked our accounts yesterday and surprisingly we have been removed from Perks membership. We were getting Perks emails and the last was 25 Oct for the soundbar. We didn't get emails for the Moto G82 discount last week and $10 voucher yesterday. However still getting the non-Perks emails today. We deleted our mobile numbers on the accounts after we signed up in May but had been getting Perks emails up to 25 Oct. We can't rejoin Perks as our numbers have been used already. With the official launch, the system appears to have removed some members that don't meet the T&Cs. Not everyone is affected according to comments here.

    • Don't know why press-start specifically mentions WA as the 'select group' as it has been available to whole of Australia since May.

      • It was available to all ozbargainers. The trial was meant for WA customers but the system seemed to have accepted everyone. There were some ozbargainers that had issues with the sign-up and were told WA only.

one day when I picked perks item in store, staff specially pointed out "WA" on receipt said the coupon should be used in WA only. oh OK I just got my order and said "bye".

  • Still no email seem not targeted this time, have it last time.

  • Ok got the $10 off voucher I had been missing for awhile.

Had something I wanted to get. Go to check availability though and it's only available for delivery so my coupon is only worth $4??? Happening to anyone else?? Is JB having a faff??

Usually I can expand the Click and collect/Stores area and see each individual store which is out of stock, but this time it won't even let me expand. So do they list stuff on their website with "Add to cart" that they don't even keep in stock anywhere? Or are they trying to get the voucher people to buy all that low priced crap like stationary stuff?

Seems like an order from distributor situation which should be listed on their website as "backorder". Or maybe if I walk into the local store they will actually have stock even though it's not showing.

    • whats the item?

      • Camera accessory. I don't have any proof yet so not going to say much more until I go in store. Just want to know if anyone else is having the same experience.

I was planning on walking to the store and use the coupon, not pay $6 more and wait until after new years for it to be delivered. Maybe I am underestimating covid stock shortages?
But JB could at least show it as backorder or preorder.

  • im n exisitng member
how do i get this $10?

    • You need to have been a perks member before the vouchers went out to get this deal, not just JB member. If you didn't get an email with the code, it is too late now.

Make sure you are signed up to JB perks.

      • +1

aww thank you!! It was indeed in my inbox (i didnt even know I was a perks benefit already!!)
I will go find something $10 now! =D
have a good night code XD!

      • Not sure why non of my perks account receive the voucher.

  • +1

Just found out $10 cannot be used for Belong SIM card. Looking at my previous $10 email, it excludes Telstra & Foxtel services, Miele & Asko, Dell & Apple built to order, Prepaid & Gift cards.

  • dumb question.
First time jb hifi perk member.

i tried using the voucher in store, but they asked for a pin which is not on the email and the person didn't know so I wasn't able to make the purchase.

    any idea?

    • +2

If they ask for pin, then they are processing it as a gift card, which is not correct.

Show them the barcode in your email.

      • I did, they scanned it in the terminal and prompted me to type the pin in (which does not exist)
maybe i had a noob working there… i might try again

        • +1

Request the manager to process this as voucher, not gift card

  • -2

So giving them your mobile number, and allowing them to share/sell it to all entities and 3rd parties, is worth $10.
    No thanks, not for me.

    • Thats what a spare number is for

  • Just curious, does anyone know what happens if you get something with a perks voucher and refund/exchange an item?

    • You’ll be refunded whatever you paid out of pocket in the original payment method. Just like any other codes/coupons. It’ll be in the Ts&Cs.

      • -2

        What about the voucher value?

        • You lose it.

          • @CodeXD: Ok thanks. Sorry for asking a question apparently its frowned on lol. With Myer when i used the $10 vouchers they send out and had to cancel the order due to stock issues they sent me a $10 egiftcard with 3 yr expiry

            • @Rain Cloud: David Jones did the same as Myer with their $10 birthday vouchers when I had to return a faulty item. Gave me a $10 giftcard. However I didn't have such luck with JB Hi-Fi, Spotlight and eBay. Had to return faulty items. (JB Hi-Fi also not willing to exchange items when you use the Perks voucher.) It's in their T&Cs. Didn't get refunded the voucher amount when I returned. Only what I paid.

              • @trixieb: Thanks good to know

              • @trixieb: Coincidentally had to exchange earphones bought with a previous perks voucher today, it just suddenly stopped working. Had no issues.

  • +1

Some of the options are back in this expired deal. Free $10 coupon for two smart bulbs.

    • Had suggested to use voucher to buy!
Deal was expired as was for 1 ES bulb that went OOS. But was available for BC & other styles.
Some $5 bulbs still available, but may take some finding.

  • +1

Free Nintendo switch game and a Pop! Vinyl Iron Man… thanks JB and OP

  • awesome, received one too. Not sure what to buy tho

  • +1

Pricematched this milanese loop for apple watch (https://www.mobileciti.com.au/3sixt-magnetic-mesh-band-for-a…) and got it for free.

    • wow - that's a score.

      • Yeah. Had to try twice though.

        • just tried and they rejected based on the model number is different…

  • Hmm….I didnt receive any coupon from JB :-(

  • +1

Just picked up 3 pop vinyls for free, some were $5 and they had buy 2 and get 1 free

    • For why?

      • You're asking why do they sell pop vinyls?

        • -1

          Does it?

  • +1

Does this stack with the birthday voucher?

  • Did anyone buy this?
Vivitar Soft White B22 800 Lumens Smart Bulb

It say soft white but only warm light as an option

  • -3

I wish you could request a code as freebie and not till one is posted as each day I keep missing it

    • Then there will be thousands of people asking for codes and your request will be lost in it anyway.

You can subscribe to the thread so you will get notification whenever someone comments.

  • is the code the same? i did not receive mine

    • +1

Have to sign up to Perks above to receive code. Codes are unique.
Can use same mobile number to sign up for 2 accounts, using different email addresses. Need to confirm via SMS message sent.
