    $144 TGG here

Hard to find stock. Website really annoying. Can't check across multiple stores.

Edit: Looks like you have to call stores directly. I'm not really interested in the item so I haven't called stores. Maybe plenty of stock??

    • +1

      none available in WA

    • Sydney sold out. Not a deal. Was a deal.

I will just add that from memory, you can only use the right here by the independently which is just crazy to me after being in a AirPods Pro user

      • Sorry should have spell checked. I meant you can only use the right ear bud independently or both. Can’t use just the left. So strange for this price.

    • +3

I rung up the good guys on their 1300 number. Although they did not have any 'true wireless 2's in stock in my state they were happy to arrange a sale and ship it to me for +$10 shipping. incredible deal for $154
also they would do $349 on the true wireless 3's

  • +1

    $144 sounds decent

I bought that the originals from eBay for $99, I can still return them as they have charging issues.

I wonder if they'll refund me or send me out V2

    • +5

Why would they send you a DIFFERENT product?

      I think you're a tad overly hopeful :P

      • +9

I also bought the originals on ebay for $99, they also had charging issues (would drain in a few days if left in the case) a guy at work had same and sent them back. He was sent the TW2s as a replacement. Encouraged by his success i sent mine back and received a pair of TW3s. So i think it comes down to whatever they have in stock.

        • Sounds like you both got an employee that hated their employer to be honest. Haha.
I've never heard of an ebay store replacing faulty goods with an upgraded version before.
          I'm jealous.

        • +35

Can confirm. Employee took my tw1 with charging issues and replaced it with an RTX 4090

        • Hi Deefer, may I ask how did you claim the warranty? Do you email them? Cheers

          • +1

@sandika: Looked up Sennheiser Australia and went through the RMA process. Had to provide proof of purchase. Overall fairly easy.

            • @Deefer: @Deefer : Thank you for your info. By the way, did they ask for the original box? I just realised there is no Serial Number in the charger case and could not find the box now. I purchased during ebay $99 as well.

        • Same. My $99 MTW1 were replaced with MTW3 couple of months ago.

          • @nroko86: Through eBay? I bought mine through eBay, do I return through eBay or go direct?

            • @[Deactivated]: Bough via official Sennheiser ebay store.
              Warranty return via Sennheiser website.

              • +1

@nroko86: Interesting, when I emailed them they told me to go through eBay.

So I should go direct? I'll try that.

          • @nroko86: Replaced out of warranty?

            • @boomersgold: 2 year warranty. I bought mine in end of 2020 (boxing day sale I believe).

              • @nroko86: They made you send the faulty V1s back, or did they let you keep them?

                • +1

@caprimulgus: You have to send them. The left earbud stopped working so i sent the whole thing for warranty repair. At most i only expected a newer or refurb V1.

                  I didn't know i would get the V3s.

      • +4

I bought my originals from this deal. A couple of months ago one earbud stopped working. I put in a warrany claim, sent them back to Sennheiser and they replaced them with a new set of V3. Easiest and most satisfactory warranty claim I've made.

      • +1

Yes and no. I had to warrant the MTW2 due to faulty battery. The v3 had just been released and that's what Senheisser AU sent me as they had no more stock of the v2.

As an aside, the v3 are my favourite headphones. Enjoy them even more than the Sony WH1000xm5, which don't really sound much better and have finicky touch controls. YMMV

V3 is obviously better than the v2 with better sound, battery life, ANC and fit for me.

      • This, although it seems very lucky, is the angle a company will take when they deem it cheaper than constantly replacing an inherently faulty product.

      • Someone else mentioned they did that to them! It's the only reason I mention it!

    • Hey bloke, I recently sent in my mtw2s with faulty issues and they sent me their mtw3s as they don't stock discontinued goods. Enjoy the 3s before you miss your chance

      • You have to pay for postage to return them tho if you go direct?

I assume if I go through eBay plus they'll pay for postage but probably just refund me?

Yeah I have 3-4 weeks left, I'm gonna file paperwork this week.

        • I paid for express postage, after filing a claim to get a barcode and postage address.

I initially bought through Amazon, so Amazon wouldn't be able to help and told me to go direct.

Wish I didn't put it off for months. File that paperwork

          • @Colaris: They told me to go through eBay, but Ill just go direct and hope they replace LOL

            Thanks

If you cycle the form factor of these is far better at reducing wind noise compared to wf1000 xm4s which amplify the buffeting even with noise cancelling. I found out the hard way.

They stick out far less and have decent noise isolation.

    • +1

Jumping in here. I tried these and hated them. Their noise cancelation mode hardly worked. Bought the Sony’s and haven’t looked back.

      • +7

Don't get me wrong the Sony's win hands down in the office, just cycling the Sony's are a PITA

        • Also, anything outside you get wind noise with the sonys tbh
I second the fit and form factor is great with the Sennheisers

      • +1

I've used these on a plane, could not hear pretty much anything. Including my fiance asking me to move so she could go to the toilet.

        • +3

Difficult to diagnose at a distance.

Active-fiancee-noise-cancelling versus you evolving selective hearing in a long time relationship.

          • +1

@indemnity: Yeah depending on the fiance these could be a blessing or a hinderance.

      • -1

Would you even want ANC when cycling on the road?

    • +6

      If you cycle

Please don’t cycle with noise cancelling earbuds…

      • Dw You dont turn the noise cancelling on, if anything the noise cancelling amplifies the wind

        • Just saying as someone who cycles myself - I would never cycle with any earbuds in, you just lose so much situational awareness.

The thought of cycling and not being able to hear a car coming up behind me is terrifying, but you're braver than me if the thought doesn't scare you.

  • https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/403383303922 bought these few months back and never looked back, i do gym alot and they never fallout plus have good noise cancellation.

    • Im looking for gym earbuds, do these hurt after awhile? Dont fall out when running?

    • although it doesn't mention noise cancelling as one of the features…you mean it just cuts a bit of noise out without a dedicated noise cancellation feature?

      • It's got good noise isolation, also @Bonesaw321 they never hurt i could wear them all day and they have customizable eartips for every ear to suit your needs. I spent hours looking for gym ear buds and didn't want to fork out $$$ for an expensive pair to only find out they don't stay in my ear or uncomfortable. I am so happy with these buds they are amazing.

        • +1

I would recommend the soundcore life A1 over those, especially if you want volume control on the earbuds (in addition to all the other controls).

Got my A1 for $66 on a lightning deal.

Life dot 2 cannot control volume, a deal breaker for me.

Or life a2 NC, for the noise cancelling. Was $72 on ebay during 22% off code/promo.

  • +1

seems cheap or is the RRP overinflated?
Is this good for going to work/trains

    • +3

I reckon these are worth every cent and then some. They are more about the sound quality though (especially if you prefer a V-shape sound signature). Once you tweak the EQ settings these sound unreal and for mine better than any other premium earbuds or even headphones I've owned/tried including other Sennheisers. They do not stack up all that well in most other aspects though (battery life, noise cancelling, comfort, controls, can't connect to multiple devices, not all that good for running/working out etc).

      • +1

        thanks mate. This was helpful
Ive got pretty big ears and most headphones keep falling out.
So anything designed for running - I can use for walking

        • +3

No worries champ the Jabra active range is pretty good for running/working out if you can pick them up when on sale.

          • @dins: looking now. Seems good - they look like everyone else but I think their secret is a grippy material around the entire headphones

            • +1

@ChatCPT: Yeah probably and they are a lot less bulky. I do not think they are worth paying retail for tho there should be some sales around the corner. I would wait and pick them up then.

        • +2

          Try aftermarket large ear tips

          • @Fobsessive: Like with wingtips or specific brands?
I used to use comply foam back in the day of wired headphones

            • +1

@ChatCPT: Comply foams are great and grip better. But my medium ones are a snug fit in the case, the large ones might need to be squeezed in every time but should still fit.

    • Other brands don't hav the kind of demand AirPods have, so they probably need to give steep discounts just to move them. People even use AirPods on Android.

    • Pretty sure they're an old model now

  • How does this compare to the XM4 in terms of comfort, sound quality and noise cancellation?

  • +3

Out of the box these are excellent. The music quality is amazing. Chef's kiss to the clean deep bass.

A few niggly bits, the connection is fine when you're in the same room but gets choppy about 10m and 2 walls. Can only connect to one device at a time. ANC is ok, but they do clip at sudden loud noise - these are very rare - think a lawnmower hitting a rock.

A lot of people say xm4's and airpods have better anc - I haven't used these so can't comment but ever since I put comply foams on these it's scary quiet. Another plus is the music quality is unaffected with anc

The mic is garbage to make calls

These paired with comply foams are unbeatable for full price let alone for $200

  • I liked the sound from these, but had constant bluetooth issues. Now 1 year later, the left ear won't put out any sound at all.

    • Should be still under their 2 year warranty.

  • +2

    Deal breaker!

Connection functionality is linked to the RIGHT earbud only, try putting the LEFT one in on its own and nothing happens.

This ties in with the second issue being that I then only get about 4 hours continuous use before the earbud demands to be charged and you are left waiting while the right earbud gets some juice

  • -1

    This or samsung buds?

    • Samsung buds work well. Not plagued with stupid connectivity issues like every other manufacturer minus Apple

      • Any samsung buds or specific/more expensive models?
Dont care so much about mic quality

        • Any samsung buds or specific/more expensive models?

I just have the ones that come free with the Samsung Flagship phone

  • IMO nothing comes close at that price!

    BUY BUY BUY!!!

I have a set of 2's and 3's already, but so tempted to get another pair!

Was watching the Samsung Pro 2's that hit $180 last week or whenever… But now 50/50 to try and wait again or get another TWM2 instead…
Always searching for an extra pair…

Anyone have the Galaxy Pro 2's and the TWM2's and can tell me how the Sammy's stack up?
