[NSW] Ryobi 18V One+ Floor Drying Fan (Skin Only) $19 (Was $29) @ Bunnings (Chatswood)

150

Good deal, up the travellator. There is a pallet there. A shame I don't have any ryobi batteries otherwise I would have picked one up.

  • $10 @my local bunnings 4215.

    • I'm a bit dirty I got mine at $29 now. Have had it for over a month and still haven't used it though..
I 3d printed an ozito to ryobi power adapter because I've only got 1 x 2ah Ryobi battery and like 6 x Ozito 4ah + 2 x 3ah. 2ah I didn't think would run this thing for long if needed.

      • I bought it thinking it could plug into an outlet, as I didn't have any ryobi batteries. Now i've got some garden stuff from their ecosystem I can use it finally.

I've got this fan on my desk now. Works well enough. It doesn't use that much power so you can run it for a while on a 2ah battery. I'm actually impressed and want a proper portable fan now. Maybe the misting one on a sale

I have this fan already. I find it awesome especially with 2 speed settings (hi/low) lasts for ages on low and blows heaps of air. I usually use it in my garage when using gym gear, you can carry it around with you and direct it right at yourself. Great for camping too! I believe Ryobi have something equivilant too.

    • When was this? 4215 is my local

These actually work really well for carpet drying in bedrooms but also for when we mop the rest of the house (inside large dogs so this happens often)

  • What's the item number?

  • Now the floods are over - don't need one.
    (fingers crossed).

    • Just wait til next week, or buy one to donate to anyone in south/west/north ern NSW.

Would be ideal if there's an adaptor to run that fan. Battery (4ah) runs out in couple hours.

    • The US version is dual power.

    • Interesting that you should mention that - I've always thought that all cordless tools should accept a mains adaptor (a mains cable with inline transformer to drop the juice to appropriate inputs for the tool?) so they can be used as corded tools when power is available.

Obviously manufacturers make repeat money from batteries but how many people would buy into an ecosystem if the tools could be used flexibly without the constraints of batteries?

      • Interesting idea! Its certainly doable for smaller draw skins (like this fan). It's not too hard to get laptop power supplies that will deliver 19v at 3 amps which should be enough for this.
You might run into trouble for other tools though, that either have high constant draw (heatgun) or high starting currents (angle grinder)

      • Ryobi one+ used to have 'hybrid' in tools such as, fans and work lights etc where long constant draw could be used on 240v power.
They don't seem to have them anymore, but I thought they were a great idea too

They still have them. They just released a new hybrid fan and I think some hybrid led lights.

      • I have the hybrid line trimmer, but bought a petrol one because the line is too thin and the spool is too small to be useful for anything other than a courtyard.

    • might not be a good sign if your floor still isn't dry in a couple of hours. no wonder its on sale, lol.

I don't think I need this…. but for $19 can I really say no? That's the ozbargainer in me I guess
