    Can you tell me what the shelf life of these are.
    I pdf i buy 2 but only use one this year, how long before I need to use the second one by (if not yet activated)

    Also. Can this be tethered, for the data only, to a second device.
    I will use thé SIM in my iPhone but want to also use on iPad, and partner’s iPhone.

      I had some UK/EU ones I bought pre covid and used this year. Tethering works fine (I used it in a phone and ran a Mac and iPad off that). That's if all their sims (for the different locations) work the same.

      Just tried to buy some and it wanted activation dates at checkout (they didn't used to).

      Which SIM are you referring to? You can find the expiry dates on any of our SIMs on the website product pages.

      Most SIMs do not expire, and you can hold onto them for as long as you need to.

      For tethering you will need to check the product page too.

    Just to clear up activation dates. From the site:

    'Your Europe Travel SIM Card will automatically activate based on the Activation Date you provide before checkout. If you buy multiple SIM cards, you'll need to add in the Activation Date for each SIM.
    We activate SIMs at 2 pm AEST (4 am GMT) on the date that you choose at checkout. The accuracy of the date is important for your SIM to be activated smoothly.

    Hi question for Indonesia, is this a local Indonesian SIM? Don't they require IMEI registration with the Indo Ministry of Communications to work?

      You do not need an IMEI with our SIM cards. They are manufactured in Hong Kong, and they use local networks by roaming onto them (Indosat, Telkomsel)

    Quick question re the Europe & UK 80GB prepaid travel sim. I have a new cellular mini ipad 6 and am unsure whether this plan is suitable - I only need data for use when outside wifi coverage. The plan is question talks about being able to receive calls from Australia and also being able to make voice calls within Europe. As I understand, you cannot make or receive direct phone calls using the ipad? Am I right in assuming this sim can still be used in the ipad as a data only sim? If not do you have any data only plans with a similar allowance?

      The 80GB Europe SIM will work in your iPad no worries at all :)

      You will be able to make internet calls via Facetime, I am unsure about actual calls.

      Either way, the iPad can use the SIM as a data-only SIM.

    I want to buy SE 30 days 10GB sims x 2, however the issue is that it says it needs to be activated by 31st Dec 2022, yet I don't flyout to Singapore until 2nd of January 2023. The 30 days if activated on 31st of Dec WILL cover my entire trip, so I am happy to activate it on 31st Dec, however how can I activate it whilst still in Australia? OR if I wait a few days will Activation Date be pushed out to 3rd of January then I make the purchase? I want to take advantage of BLK FRIDAY sale tho.

      The SEA SIM actually lasts until Dec 2023.

      You can activate it when you land (by putting it into your device and turning on data roaming)

I have been told that with the US carriers - AT&T and Tmobile, which you have, we need to activate in USA and then only it's usable in Canada. Please do correct me if I am wrong.       That is in T-mobile and ATT's terms and conditions, and they do have the right to block SIMs.

      We've found it to be VERY uncommon with our customers, but it has happened.

      If it ever does happen and can't be fixed by us, we will refund you if the SIM doesn't work.

      I'd recommend grabbing 2x of our Europe & UK SIMs for Europe, and 2x of our South American SIM for South America - make sure to look at 'where it works' on the product page to see if the SIM will work in the countries you're travelling to.

      Depending on the country you might be able to grab something cheaper, but it varies from country to country!

    Hi @SimsDirect - I'm trying to decipher your replies to other posts but I'm not sure. I'm looking at the 12GB Europe & UK. I see that it has 50GB in UK and 12GB in Europe. What data does it draw from first? If I'm visiting London first, will it take it out of the 50GB or the 12GB? Then I'm off to Switzerland and Italy etc. I want to make sure the 12GB is saved for them and not wasted in London. Am I making any sense??? Hahaha.

      Great question!

      The 50GB will be used first. The 12GB is for 'roaming'.

      You will be able to use 38GB of data in UK and then 12GB anywhere in Europe (or you can use the remaining 12GB in the UK if you wish to).

      We do not have anything that will work in those countries, unfortunately.

      The only type of internet you will have access to will be onboard wifi (which uses a satellite connection) and can be very expensive.

      If you do dock you will be able to get a local SIM to use (which will only work while you are near land).

    Out of curiosity, I note in the website under the list of "Where it works", there are other non-European countries such as Singapore, NZ, etc. Does this mean that this SIM card can also be used in these countries although they are not in the UK/Europe?

      Just be conscious of your video consumption and downloads.

      Also turning off cloud sync is helpful to save data too!
