    • Yeah this seems ultra risky. Not sure if better to have 10x$100 cards in one piece of mail, or 10 separated pieces of mail.

Also, why not just do digital cards sent to email? Many do that these days.

  • can you stack these cards together when purchasing at JB?

  • Does anyone know if Officeworks has a limit per transaction for these cards?

    • I would like to know too. I asked Officeworks and they did not know.

  • This is the Auspost terms and conditions on Giftcards:

    2.4 [Gift Cards]
    (a) Please read the gift card issuer terms and conditions of use carefully before purchasing.
    (b) Please take notice of any expiry date applicable to the card.
    (c) Treat gift cards like cash. Lost or stolen gift cards will not be replaced or refunded. Gift cards are not redeemable for cash and cannot be exchanged for a different type of gift card.
    (d) Trademarks on any cards shown are the property of the owners, used with their permission.
    (e) Please contact [email protected] or 13 POST (137 678) for further information.

Not sure if the "Lost or stolen gift cards will not be replaced or refunded" applies to lost in postage as well?

  • Realistically, if I wanted to get an iphone 15 next year, would you recommend trying to get these discounted gift cards right now?

The biggest risks I see is that Ultimate dropping JB Hi Fi entirely, which I guess would be very unlikely.

Or that Jb Hi Fi runs out of stock of iphones and having to wait ages for them.

    • The biggest risks I see is that Ultimate dropping JB Hi Fi entirely

Rebel/Supercheap Auto/BCF were recently dropped from the Ultimate cards, but as stated on the Ultimate Gift Card page:

"If your card contains the Rebel, Supercheap Auto or BCF logo, the card can still be used at those stores."

So even if a store decides to no longer participate, the current cards will still be accepted until card expiry.

    • Ultimate dropping JB is the biggest risk although unlikely.

I would convert them to JB Gift Cards at a JB Store.

  • Dammit. Was going to use my Coles prepaid mastercards to buy these but it is online and not sure if I can split payments (or even use them online for even a $200-$250 Ultimate GC?). Anyone know?

  • Say I use 10x $100 gift cards at the Good Guys to purchase an item. What happens if I want to return it for a refund?

    • -1

They give you cash back 💰

      • Are you sure about that? It seems like a relatively easy way to cash out your gift cards.

        • +9

          Dumb questions brings dumb answers

        • I’ve refunded a few items (legitimately) at Anaconda and found they refund to any debit/credit card of your choice. Instant profit lol

    • They give you one of their own gift cards

  • Has anyone had issues in the past with Ultimate cards being hacked? After having a few eBay gift cards hacked (which don’t have pins mind you), I’m a little nervous holding onto them long term.

    • I would assume the cards need to be activated first so probably just activate it the day you use it?

  • I see $100 cards are OOS. Will see tomorrow.

    • +1

If you click on a $50 card, there an option of selecting $100 instead. It lets you add multiple to the cart.

      • Earlier It did show OOS, now they are in stock. I added a few to the card. Let's see tomorrow.

  • +1

5am is too early in WA

    • Plus, it might be delayed delivery too….here

  • great

  • Check carefully about the shop you want to use it at. I found I couldn't use to make a partial payment using this and the rest by credit card at Weber store… so basically I could only buy up to the value of the card

  • +1

Not start yet, $100 already oos lol

    • lol…trailer of what's coming

  • +3

It feels like a scam to me. All $100 cards are now pulled from their system. They were all available 20 mins ago.
Either you are genuine in your promotion or not do it at all. That is my personal view.

    • They gonna use the $100 gcs to buy themselves some watches. Apple Watch this time!

  • Do we get a promo code to apply while checkout or the prices just get updated at 8am tomm on our cart while refreshing?

  • Sending so much giftcards by AusPost? Too much risk to take. You're eyeing on the 15% saving, but someone is eyeing on your 100% capital :)

    • Is click and collect an option?

  • -1

Is there any promocode to use? Still$1000 when trying to checkout

    • +1

      RTFD…..

      Offer Monday 28th November 8:05AM – 11:59PM AEDT.

      • 8:05 got it

      • What's RTFD? AFAIK is RTFM…

        • +1

          I swap the M to a D (Deal)

          • @syswong: ah…make sense…I thought more RTFP (Post)

            • @BigLeviathan: Don't seem like a deal after all. Sure very little people can actually put order through…..

Now waiting for people with screenshots by PS and say the have score 20 x $100 Home card!!

Actually I might go do that now to make myself feel good!!

  • +1

Those who are worry about deliveries, there is paypal as payment option so your are protected to a certain extend.

To add another layer of security, have them deliver to a PO box that you have access to, in that way your package only travel internally within Australia Post network.

  • Can i keep my the balance into my good guy/ jb hifi account? I am worrying that the GC didn’t work after keep it for a year 😅(maybe the staff forget to activate GC before send it)

  • Anyone aware of how exchange work? I wonder if you can merge balances using it:

Online purchases: Online merchants don’t have the capabilities to perform split credit transactions. You can either checkout for the balance on your Ultimate Gift Card or exchange it for a merchant eGift card. If the amount of your purchase is greater than the value of your card, please use our exchange card service to make a purchase.

    • +1

The exchange feature allows you to exchange part or the full balance of an Ultimate gift card for a digital gift card for some of the participating retailers for your Ultimate gift card through the Ultimate gift card website. However, not all participating retailers are featured in the exchange (e.g. JB Hi-Fi, Officeworks and The Good Guys are missing from the exchange).

You can only exchange one Ultimate gift card at a time, so you cannot use this feature to consolidate multiple gift cards into one. (The only multi-retailer gift card I can think of where you can consolidate multiple multi-retailer gift cards into one retailer-specific gift card is the Swap gift card.)

$100 Home card showing 'out of stock' already for me

  • Cant see any of Ultimate Everyone on the web??

    • I don’t think Australia Post actually sells the Ultimate Everyone gift card.

  • Me patiently waiting to press buy at 8:05am

    • Proceed to check out and it will say out of stock

  • +4

This stinks of scam. $100 ultimate home voucher out of stock.was there earlier. Seems all $100 are suddenly out of stock. I bet they are suddenly in stock as soon as this sale ends.

    • +3

This is the part that I don't understand retailers, if you don't want to give a discount then don't do a sale. Like the famous Appliance Online Ebay "exclude all area for deliveries" tactics!! Piss me off every time I see they do it when ebay have big discounts that includes them.

There is a say in Chinese basically translate into: "its ok to be a whore but don't expect people call u Jean of Arc!!"

I wouldn't go as far as call it a scam buy these retailers sure are thugs!!

  • +1

    WTF is going on?!
All $100 cards with JB Hi-Fi are out of stock.

    • +2

Maybe people are saving them in their carts ready to go

      • It won't work like that, unless you pay it can always go oos

  • +3

This sale is a joke the ultimate home $50&$100 are already OOS

  • +1

I think some bots just hold all the $100 gift cards as I can see the cards in stock and out stock multiple times.

    • This, with various quantiaties available: The maximum quantity allowed is 4QTY10

    • By bots you mean Ozbargainers

  • +1

lol it wouldn't matter until the discount kicks in or else they would be hording the cards for nothing

  • +1

Went back to gift card page and now it says limit is 1. This feels like supermarket gift card buying experience online simulation , lol
