    • How about good quality sheep skin

    • +4

Why the neg vote?? Simply because you don't like the deal, too expensive, bad experience, or anything else??? Great reasoning lol
No thanks, have a neg vote

      • Exactly and thank you for pointing that out…

    Australian Made Kangaroo

    I would have thought that's a given?

    • Thank you , very True… 🙌👍

    • +3

Why? Kangaroos in other countries still have skin.

    • +2

I've read about a mob of feral wallabies in France, why couldn't a kangaroo skin come from another country?

      • +1

        Wallabies don't wear these skins.

        • +2

Halloween they do. If they want to dress up as a kangaroo, that is.

Leather and Suede is either Lamb, Sheep, Goat, Pig and Cow.

Therefore most people are wearing them on their feet or sitting on couches or chairs everyday?

      Bags, Wallets, Furniture etc…

    • +15

Humanity has used animal hides since the Paleolithic, for clothing as well as mobile shelters such as tipis and wigwams, and household items. Since ancient times, hides have also been used as a writing medium, in the form of parchment. Fur clothing was used by other hominids, at least the Neanderthals. Vegan protesting is merely a blip on the radar of history

        • +1

Bro you're right it's an interesting observation. People just get sensitive when you question the things they do in their life, they might feel guilted/annoyed. You're essentially attacking their identity.

      • +3

        mobile shelters

Is this what we now call a phone case?

    • +2

In older times, if it wasn't for humans using animal skins for warmth, shelter and tools they would not have been able to live in cooler climates. Synthetics were not invented until relatively recently.
I have not heard of any archeologists finding any vinyl or polyester fleece in their digs. /s

Many modern cultures such as Saami and Inuit still rely on animal skins for clothing too. I wear a sheepskin coat and hat when I travel to places with subzero temperatures as no synthetic alternative is better.

    • +1

Human skin that would be amazing. And here's grandad! mind the wrinkles.

I am a vegetarian and I always wonder how people react to a duck playing with a cat video on youtube saying the ducks so cute and adorable only to eat it up later. You cant love animals and eat them too.

      • +2

What if you love the taste?

        • +1

I have been a vegetarian since birth, have been programmed to think killing animals is sin. So I wouldnt. I do have veggie beef patties at home which I occasionally have and they do taste good. But that hasnt changed me into buying actual beef. I probably wouldnt eat them unless its life or death situation and I need them to survive. Though I cant say the same about some of my relatives who now eat meat.

      • Yes, you can.

        • +2

Would you eat your cat or dog or uncle?

          • +1

            @John Doh: Depends which uncle

          • +3

@John Doh: I grew up in rural town. Quite normal to keep bunnies for food. We had played with them as they were our pets and they inevitably ended up as a dinner food when they grew the right size.

So … yes. You can love them and eat them too.

            • -1

@duchy: Well I think then its all the mindset you grew up in and you are probably right. If I was served something that I loved so much, I probably wouldnt because I havent done it since I was a kid.

      • You cant love animals and eat them too.

I love animals and I eat animals. Feel free not to eat animals but perhaps best not to make assumptions on that which you don't understand.

        • +1

This is a place to talk and share and learn. Not keep the mouth shut. So if you felt offended, no need to contribute to this discussion. The whole frekin science and discovery is based on assumptions on the things you dont understand and move one step ahead from there.

          • @John Doh: I'm not offended and your assumptions are incorrect again.

You taking a moral stand on veganism is not science 😂

            • +1

@OzBragain: Your comments dont show that attitude. Anyway, I will stop it here, feel free to kill and eat everything you love.

      • Might come as a shock to you then that most farmers loves animals. How you think they can wake up at 4am to tend to their needs? That stuff ain't easy.

They're just more pragmatic, seperating the ones that will be eaten, from ones that produces.

    • +2

So no leather anywhere in your existence?

      • +1

        exactly right!

        hypocritical grandstanding.

      • None. My car has leather seats, but I bot it used and didnt buy it because it has leather seats, I bot it becuase it was cheaper than other deals.

        • +1

          None.

          Nek minit

          My car has leather seats

          Nice!

          • +1

@OzBragain: I was editing it to None other than my car but you were too annoyed by my comments and replied by then.

            • +2

@John Doh: Unfortunately you're wrong again champ. I'm not in the least bit annoyed, in fact I find self righteous vegan crusaders hilarious in their justification.

              • +2

@OzBragain: I never came here to say veganism is the right thing to do. Neither do I comment on any meat deals. I just said you cant love something and eat them too. becuase if you did, you would cry when you killed it else you never loved it in the first place - which I find pretty hilarious in this justification.

            • +3

@John Doh: Which car. There's a very likely chance it's not leather in the car you bot.

              • @Muzeeb: Superb elegance

                • @John Doh: Hmmm. Being a VAG car I'm thinking there is only minimal real leather and the rest is synthetic.

                  • @Muzeeb: I dont think so as superb is thier highest end model. Atleast the previous owners sales pitch was its all leather.

                    • @John Doh: I think you'll be surprised but I'm happy to be proven wrong.

Top of the line with all the bells and whistles doesn't always mean real leather on every part of the seats.

                      • @Muzeeb: When I got the leather cleaner to clean it, i did a bit of reasearch and forums said it was. Good if it isnt.

                        • @John Doh: Well I just researched it in 2 minutes so could be wrong.

Leather - gear knob, hand brake, steering wheel

                          Leather look - seats

                          • @Muzeeb: Well, I honestly dont know mate neither am I good at figuring it out. Thats what the previous owner said it was and some forums said they had leather seats and I picked up leather honey for them.

              • +1

@Muzeeb: The car i bot a few months ago comes with leather trims too, not sure if they are real or not

Now we know where Kangaroo Jack went

  • +7

Why people want a dead body?

    • +2

Because it makes them feel alive

    • +7

      We eat kangaroos…..
Why can't we walk on them?

    • +3

I'd hazard a guess that the animals aren't slaughtered just for their skin.

    • +5

There is an overpopulation of kangaroo. They need to be culled for their benefit as well as humans.

A bi-product of this culling process is meat, furs and scrotum sacks for Asian tourists in far north Queensland to put their coins in.

For capitalists, everything exists to be exploited. Capitalists are sociopathic narcissists who have no respect for anything other than themselves; everything is just like an item in a vending machine to be used then discarded when of no further value.

      • I'm actually a capitalist lol…but I do have ethics/morals which it seems a lot of people on this forum don't.

  • +17

Its kind of hard to understand why people commenting here are so upset about the floor mat or killing the roo ..
But they would love a have a juicy beef or lamb steak/ nice chicken parma/ fish & chips/ going to all the burger joints.

Wake up people, those are animals as well mostly they were caged till they die. At least roo was living feee till the death. I am not a vegan and love meat. But could not understand BS going on here..

    • +4

Ethical Dilemma at its finest. Another one for you is why incest is wrong if both parties agree on not to procreate or have children? Or why we condemn some countries for eating dogs?

It's a paradox, you will never be able to find a clear answer.

      • +7

why incest is wrong if both parties agree on not to procreate or have children?

        Bloody hell

      • +3

How the hell does incest even come into this, lol.

        • Too much pot and love to think about these ethical dilemmas.

      • +2

Out of all the ethical dilemmas, you chose to compare this to incest?

        • +3

I gave you two dilemmas. Eating dogs and incest ;)

      • +4

Hello, AFP? Yep, this guy right here

        LOL incest? WTF…!?

    • To be fair to those people, they're usually vegetarian, or even vegan.

  • Is there a bigger size for sale?

  • Can they be taken OS?

    • Yes and they’re great presents for Family and Friends overseas

  • I saw something that looked like this rug on the highway on the way to work this morning

    • +2

      Go back, save $40

      • Probably be softer then these ones as well.

  • +3

Any with tire marks on it?

    • +1

Yes 6 in stock along the Newell Highway

  • I've bought twice from UGG Australia and so happy with my uggies and slippers and will be buying more next winter for my 4 kids. Someone needs to make an Aussie version of the rocking horse - Rocking kangaroo and give it a nice fluffy kangaroo skin from ugg!

    • +1

Thank you for your kind words and support…

  • The price is nothing special. I bought one, months ago from the official UGG Australia website for $49 and I told my Mum about it. She then told me she bought it for $38 at Victoria Market after some bargaining with a fellow Asian person. Many of us Asians can't live without a bargain. We compared the two rugs and it was the same product, same brand. If you live in Melbourne then go to Victoria Market. You'll often find better deals there than than official websites.

    • +4

We don’t sell any products at Victoria Markets and we have No Stockist there….

      • +1

Maybe you don't sell it officially but there's a guy selling your products there.

        • +3

why you have to rat out the fellow Asian person

          • +1

@Exorcist: Not ratting out anybody. Just letting people know they can get it cheaper at Victoria Market.

  • +4

    Wow - no thank you.

    People actually buy these?

    • +4

Believe it or not, people live outside your inner city cotton wool bubble

      • -3

And if those people think that the skin of a roadkill Kangaroo, which I see festering in the heat daily on roads in which I commute on, is some sort of glamourous home decor - Good, keep them away, please.

        • +4

It's not a roadkill, actually it's a quality Australian made product.
Not sure what you're getting at.
