Used to be 12%, then it increased to 16% recently (1, 2) and now it dropped to 8%

The bar has been set high already

    • +1

Could have at least raised the cap

  • +27

No promo codes makes this basically useless

    • -1

What's the problem, you still get 8% casbqck?

The eBay plus monthly vouchers are a Bit pointless unless spending over $50.

      • because using a code is nearly always better ……….

        • True, unless you have used the $5 on 15$ spend, or don't want to spend $50.

          • @G-rig: They are heaps of codes just search ebay store on this page….

            • +1

@zerog101: Didn't bother with it, 8% nothing to really get excited about pal.

    Haiyaaaa useless

    • +1

Let's see how many orders they cancel today as they miraculously do only during an increased cashback promo.

  • +1

Not bad, combine it with discounted GCs.

A challenge to complement this would be even better.

  • +1

Combine with extra 2% for total 10% cashback if you have Westpac card?

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/743829

    • was wondering the same question
For ebay, does it need to pay directly via westpac credit card, not via paypal?

    • -1

It’s 12.5% then. It’s 2.5% cashback on eBay gift cards plus bonus 2% from Westpac cards. So 8% + 4.5%.

      • +3

How are you going to buy gift cards, and still use your westpac card on eBay?

      • +1

Best use GC as that covers GST and shipping, whereas cashback doesn't.

      • Headphuk

  • $80 voucher is a promo code right?

    coz it aint a GC?

    • +3

yes, voucher are promo code, so not eligible from cashback

  • waiting on cashrewards to offer 9% or better.

    • +3

You might have to wait. They don't even have eBay on their books to offer cashback

  • +6

I don't quite understand the eBay 'wishlist' restriction, do they mean the 'watchlist'? I have many items saved to my 'watchlist'…if i buy anything on my list will cashack be denied?

    • +1

I asked the same during the last big one from Amazon and adding from the Wishlist. They said they want more organic purchases, so just manually search the product again instead of moving the items to the cart from your watch list / wish list. Not sure if this is any different though.

      • -1

Mine got tracked last time even tho I added from my Amazon wishlist

  • Does this work on international orders?

  • +2

Honestly, I can count on one hand bargains that I have found on eBay Plus. Can someone please tell me what I am missing?

    • $379 Splatoon edition switch oled.
      $36 Google nest hub
      etc etc
Codes that give a few % more than non plus codes. (E.g. non plus currently have XMAS10 while plus get XMAS12)
Free shipping on a lot of items.
Plus exclusive seller offers (discounted fees) from time to time.

I've more than made my money back from plus.
And thats without including sign up offers like the $80 voucher for singing up for a year.

      • They recently offered a year of eBay plus for $5, so it's def worth it at that price.

        • I've managed to save a LOT, even at full price.
It's especially useful if you sell a fair bit because of their "no final value fees" deals for plus members.
It saved me around $2900 this year :P
And that was my selling account which I paid full price for plus.

My other account I got the $80 voucher for buying 1 year of ebay plus membership deal.

    • Same. have got the very best prices via Ebay plus. I don't need/want to use Afterpay but those are some of the best codes at times.
Could list a lot of stuff that hasn't been cheaper since.

      • New Asus ROG Rapture GT-AX6000, $425
      • Sony XM4 Headphones, $300.80
      • Spigen Cases, $5 off
      • Booze bud deals $40 off a bottle Gin etc ($25.99 for Forty Spotted)
      • Shopping Express PC parts
      • etc.

    Thanks for this post :)

I wonder if this cashback will work with the $80 voucher
from the recent eBay Plus membership promo.

  • Is the ShopBack chrome button no longer working? I search ebay on shopback button, shows “0 stores found”

    • Probably not there as ebay isn't a permanent partner.
They only do these one off deals.
Just go through the website https://www.shopback.com.au/ebay-australia

    • I think eBay doesn’t work with button, you need to click through on website

  • How does the cash back work with winning an auction?

    • It doesn't.

      • The first DO: is "Ensure that you Do NOT add products to the eBay wishlist and purchase/bid over 24 hours later, cashback may not be awarded"

  • A goood time to buy from normally exluded categories, such as 'coins'?

  • +1

Also from gyb in the Westpac bonus deal, has stated that all coupon codes are ok for this deal. Just waiting on the app to update.

    • +1

No update that all discount codes are ok. I've got some from eBay plus and other deals I want to use but keep holding out

  • -1

    Awesome

  • +3

@gotyourback can you please elaborate on this comment are you now saying all promo codes are allowed for both the 8% and bonus 10% deals?

    • +1

      Yeah please clarify GYB!

      • +1

        Waiting !!

  • +1

Haiyaaaa why you put the Do Nots in the Dos?

  • +3

I don't understand some people. This is a little bonus, that's all. Just follow the rules.

If you were planning on a purchase in the next couple of days, then why not bring it forward e.g., right now I'm looking at a couple of replacement batteries for a mobility scooter which will cost about $150 so 8% cashback is quite nice, at least worth a reasonable bottle of wine. It all depends on your personal use case…

    • +1

Hand your OZB membership in mate. If your not quadruple stacking deals, you're doing it wrong!!

  • +1

Looks like this works with vouchers. I used a $10 voucher I got from a recent eBay promo and it’s successfully tracked with increased cashback.

    • Good to know, I assume the cashback was on the amount after the coupon?

I'm also surprised it tracked so quickly, eBay usually comes through for me next day.

      • +1

I was surprised too. Shopped about 11am and received track email at 4. Yep cashback after discount.
I’d read “no promo code” as not restricted 🤷🏻‍♀️

        • +1

Tracking doesn't mean you will receive the cashback. Eligibility checks are done later in the process and cashbacks are declined if they don't meet the rules.

  • Mine has tracked now too, 8% after coupon.

  • I clicked through shopback at around 11:58pm and the purchase was completed on ebay around 2 minutes after midnight. Unfortunately the cashback tracking amount is not the 8% that it should be. @gotyourback Can you please advise as I thought as long as you clicked through shopback before the cut off you were fine

    • Pretty sure you need to complete the purchase by 12:00pm, that is always the rules with cash backs.

    • Hey mate, yeah the upsize is based on the time the purchase is processed, not the click time I'm afraid. If you shoot me a DM I'm happy to take a look at how it's registered on my end for you to see if I can help.

      • Awesome msg'd thanks
