5.59cm wide… is it even wide enough to catch espresso from a portafiler that has 2 exit funnels?

    • +3

I use one that is much narrower so yes
Edit - I realise machine may matter. I'm using ozb fav the Breville DB

      • +1

I have a Breville Pro so with the portafilter being 4mm smaller than DB I should be ok then… Thanks!

EDIT: I actually ended up buying these slightly different ones that are 6.4cm wide for $8.28 used on Amazon…. uhh… yeah.. my first ever used item… lets see how that goes… and I'll be drinking out of it…. anyway… if you prefer to get brand new you can also spend a few extra bux on Ebay @Peters of Kensington.

I didn't get them used on amazon only because they were $1.72 cheaper, but also because I need them before the end of next week as I'm going away and even express Australia post to non-metro SA is a bit hows it going currently.

        • Probably still brand new, just possibly opened or damaged box. Good luck.

Get a naked portafilter. Will change your life.

      • Can you briefly explain what you mean please? (ie. why will it change my life)

        • +1

FYI using this probably makes you a coffee nerd. Allows you to see if you have any channelling (distribution and consistency problems)

          • @mit: I'm aware of what a naked portafilter is… just wondering why you are saying it will change my life.. I already have a distributer and a noob height-set tamper…

or is it just for the visuals?

            • @Jayblesz: Suspect he just meant because the coffee will fall centrally as opposed to out two spouts :) i.e. no cup width concerns at all!

            • +2

@Jayblesz: Oh. Yeh. Visuals. Also let's you stick bigger cups under.

      • Meh - I got one of those with my espresso machine and used it probably twice, but all I found was it made a mess everywhere. I much prefer having the spout to direct the flow of coffee. I even bought a second non-brand portafilter off eBay so I could have one each with single and double spouts. That's not to say it's a bad thing, I just found it didn't work for me.

        • It only makes a mess when something is off. It should come through the basket evenly and combine to form one stream shortly after. Plenty of videos online showing this. I'd also recommend to get a vst basket if you don't have one.

Why does it say 1 count pack of 1 and the other says 6 count pack of 1?

  • These are shot glasses

  • Quite sure I also saw the 90mls on Catch for the same price if this happens to sell out.

am i the only one who read this as Durex?

    • 😏

    • +2

Read as Durex and clicked right away to see the hilarious comments, was scrolling down extremely disappointed until I reached your comment and realised 'me too'

  • 250ml OOS

  • Huzzah!

At a glance I thought Durex is making a glass set

  • I have an Amazon voucher which can only be spent on items sold by Amazon AU AND shipped by Amazon AU. I can see this item meets that criteria but I am a bit confused about how I can tell Amazon to only show eligible items as none of the items I want are eligible. Any tips?

    • Search for your item, apparently you need to then select a 'Category' in the filters to be able to select a seller, 'Amazon AU' and you can select the Prime 'Ships from Australia'.

Unless you mean items that are shipped and sold by Amazon AU are not all eligible, then I'm not sure.

      • Yes I had read about this method too but want to just browse what is available to see how I can spend my $150 voucher because the things I have searched for are not sold AND shipped by Amazon AU.

Did Hitler use these tumblers in 1939 too?

    • these have a lot of resistance.. so maybe not

  • So good. Essential for cat owners.

    Thanks!
Ordered 90ml, 250ml, 360ml and 500ml for shot, short, tall and grande.

    • Got a link to the 500mL? Assuming they are also discounted?

    • need one more for venti

      • Yes… Shame Duralex doesn't have venti size…😟

  • Wondering if the photo is incorrect, as the provence tumbler 90 ml looks like a normal shaped glass everywhere else on the internet, instead of this short looking glass.

  • Where’s the link for the 250ml one?

    • It is in the listing as a thumbnail option - but they're currently OOS

  • I was gonna say I loved these things - strong, don't break when you drop them, nice weight and size, a beautiful fit in the hand, the thumb naturally fit in one of the indents - I think they were a standard for Melbourne cafes back in the day - maybe even from Pellegrini's (vale Sisto)

but then I saw the size of this offer - midget special - WTF - pretend espresso size for DH's to use with their expensive home espresso machina ?

she it - far kmee - good luck with that - yeah nah from mee
