  • Is it just me, or does the Xbox Gift cards (with short 90 day expiries) on Bing Rewards cannot be spent on these controllers?

    • Unless things have changed I used them on controllers about a year ago.

It says 'Accessories and devices like Surface and Xbox', is there anything there in particular that makes you think you can't use them?

      • All good. I just mis-remembered my account balance — you can use the gift card on Xbox devices.

        Or 8% cashback through CR

        • I don't know, I feel likes these controllers might fall under 'new Xbox consoles and accessories'/1.5% cashback.

          • @Hiphopopotamus: Ah right, didn't even see the different line

          • +1

@Hiphopopotamus: Still appeared as 8% for me - controller with adapter - $7.20 This from CR email.

A nice bonus if it plays out.

            • @freddofrog42: If it tracked at 8% then you should get it.

That's a good rate, I assume you didn't use any GCs or your account balance? The terms say you may not be eligible if you pay with GC (I assume this includes your balance since claiming GCs adds to your balance).

@Hiphopopotamus: You can stack with gift cards. Never had any issues with that. Just redeem to your account and select account balance as payment method during checkout.

The thing to watch out for is to make sure you stay on microsoft.com

After clicking through Cashrewards to Microsoft, if you click Xbox from the toolbar it sends you to xbox.com and in my experience those purchases haven't tracked.

Click through Cashrewards and use the search function to find the controller.

                • @HomeAlone: Nice, any idea if this will work with promo balance too? I have enough points for a $25 GC, but I also know it's slightly different from your regular account balance.

              • +1

@Hiphopopotamus: Nope, just a regular purchase via a dedicated web browser I only use for CR and SB purchases - zero plugins etc. I've found this to be the best way for rewards etc. I use phone apps occasionally when it's exclusive but most of those work via browsers anyway.

  • Can I use these with ps4 or ps5?

    • Nope. Been trying to find some sort of hack for years.

  • Damn gift cards now only 8%

    • 10 percent in Rewards Gateway

  • Amazon and Big W is also at same price.

    • Yes, I found it

  • Can ppl pls advise whether the wireless controller can be used with a Samsung TV with the Xbox live pass?

  • Seriously after buying from Amazon and now this comes cheaper :(

Just ask customer support to refund $10 and they'll do that. Atleast a credit back. Otherwise just return it and get a new one if in return window :p

      • Thank you FunkyPants,
        I didn't know I can do that.

I just jumped on the live chat few minutes ago and the credit was issued by Amazon rep without problem :)

  • I have always had issues with Microsoft tracking automatically with Cashrewards and shopback of late

    • Did you switch off adblock?

      • I don’t even have it

  • is it just me thats seeing the $89 price and $94 prices respectively?

Also damn just bought the xbox x + accessories pack yesterday :(

    • I think it's expired…

      • seems to be back now!

        • So it does… do you think it's worth getting? From scouring the forums, it looks like the series S/X controllers have QC issues with broken trigger buttons? I want the Win USB adapter set to use on Windows, but if it will have quality issues…

  • FFS I just bought one the other day from Microsoft.

Edit: Just contacted them on chat and got the $20 back on my account as part of their price guarentee.

Black with wireless adapter is $79 at Amazon , I just ordered one.

    • Thanx for the comment, they must have dropped the price recently as I checked Amazon yesterday and it was full price.
Grabbing the controller for the kids Xbox and I can test out the dongle for my PC and existing controller (Bluetooth is fine, I'm just curious).

  • Can I use the Xbox Series X controller as a Bluetooth controller on my PC or Firestick?
