  • I love this mouse. I don't even really use the extra buttons, it just feels perfect in my hand.

    • It's hard to find a mouse that will fit perfectly in the hands…. especially when buying online since you can't grasp it like in a actual shop to test it out. But when you do find one, it's bloody great!!
What would you compare this mouse to, as in nearly physical size/grip??

      • I'm not sure. It's pretty normal sized as far as a mouse goes.

I think what I like is that because I grip the mouse like a claw and rest my palm on the mat, lifting the mouse occasionally, it is perfectly balanced and easy to life.

I bought a really expensive Razo mouse once and it was not balanced, I hated it.

        • I'm not keen on razer mice and keyboards. Ised to like em when they first came out but with stuff being made today by other brands, i've found the others much better.
I'm a claw grip person but like my palm resting on the butt of the mouse. So a larger mouse size is best for my playing.

          • @teddiebear: Have you tried the viper/viper mini? If you like claw grip but with your palm touching, you might like the MM711 or MM712.

            • @SevereComplaint: No i haven't tried the viper. It looks a bit awkward from the pics. The roccat kone pro is a perfect fit for my hand and only a couple of mm bigger than a razer deathadder but super light at 62g i think it is. I'd like to try other mice but my closest jb is a 140km round trip and they don't stock much lol

Heads up. The wheel is completely different feeling to the OG G502, so if you liked it for the wheel, don't get the X version, Mines now sitting in it's box. :(

    • You can change the setting for the wheel to making it ratchet style or free flowing. It's the 2nd button below the wheel

I think they changed the weight and materials for the mouse wheel, so he might be referring to that feeling.

        • I wish all mice came with an option to add weights. My current mouse is a roccat kone pro which i think is a very good mouse but lacks weight like a deathadder. It's super light and took some getting used to.

        • Yup they did, and exactly, the feeling of it is completely different.

I don't mean the hyperscroll feature, that's still there (with the button)

I'm specifically talking about the feel of wheel, it's different materials/weight so you can't flick it like you can on the OG.

The Razer Basilisk V3 I have now absolutely nailed the feel of it, I bought it in the meantime waiting for the X to come out, but was disappointed.

        • I’ve seen YouTube tutorials on how to mod the wheel and buttons, maybe worth doing if you like the rest of the mouse

    • the OGs wheel is nice but im more of a large handed freak so the G Pro's of the world feel horrible in my hand where as the 502 just feels perfect.

Bought the G502 Hero in 2019, only replaced the shoddy Omron switches after it developed a double clicking issue, with some Kailh 2.0s. I got a cheapo soldering iron and soldered it like shit. It's still going strong.

    But this is tempting.

  • Just purchased one @ $74.95, activated free prime trial and used code 10PRIME.
