  • Got one of these, cannot complain for the money

  • Sold. I recently busted out the angle grinder in the hallway on a ridiculously stubborn screw… this would have been a much better option. Twice a year use is worth it at this price.

  • How can I upgrade my inbuilt flex shaft to a rotation version?

    $25 delivery to Brisbane

    • Strange, I'm only getting $10.07 to either Brisbane or Redcliffe.

      • I had a similar issue. I checked the delivery estimate price and it was stating $10.07 (I'm in Brisbane) but upon checkout I didn't see until too late that the delivery price had jumped to $25. I sent them an email and just heard back. They have credited the difference and are only charging the $10 fee. They seem to think it must be a gremlin in their system causing the price to go all over the place.

    Stock in Midland WA

Need the description updated to add delivery cost as additional. Delivery ruins the deal as some of us are no where near any stores.

  • +2

Nice i was literally looking at bits, and this comes with the tool as well. Cheers

    • +2

      That's what she said

Had the order cancelled after selecting delivery - just placed the order again at another store that's actually further away but postage was cheaper!

  • Thanks, OP. I just placed an order online.

  • Got one.

  • Thanks. Got one.

That's the same kit I got from Kmart for about $5 (aboit 5 years ago)! Works well. Tempted to get another. Many broken bits now.

    • Also, same kit I got from bunnings maybe 10 years ago! I think it was $20ish back then… Plenty of little broken accessory bits, but the main dremel still works great

    • I got the same, Ozito, still working fine and I've actually thrashed it a bit

  • Thanks OP, got one

  • Would this be ok to use to remove grout on 1 tile?

    • +15

      No. 2 minimum

  • Oh yay, no stock :/ (in WA)

  • Unit looks exactly like the ozito one

    • +1

      And the SCA one

      • +1

        All the same… lol

    • Badge engineering…

  • Oh yay, stock :)

Didn't need one….so bought one. $6.72 shipping to the GC.
    Thanks.

    • $10 shipping to inner Sydney :-/

Maybe the warehouse is in QLD?

    • Huh, my shipping in suburbia Melbourne was $18 with no stock for click and collect.

  • Didn't need this for sure but it'll do great in the garage

  • I think I need one around the house…. got one anyways lol

  • Dremel alternatives are becoming so affordable, not only the tool itself but the genuine accessories are crazy expensive for what it is.

  • Purchased just for the accessories and a backup tool. Cheers op.

  • I just bought one just for the spare bits lol, might as well.

  • +1

Thanks not sure what it is but bought one via click an collect

  • I've ordered one. I don't have an exact use for it yet, but at that price and free pickup I gotta get one.

    • polishing your stainless steel watch or other jewellery?

      • Maybe, not sure yet. I picked it up today (good reason for over an hour walk) but I haven't had a good look at it yet. It looks like a Dremel kit so I'm sure I'll find a good use for it or loan it to a mate.

  • Any stock in Sydney?

Good job for your first post, OP. Ordered at 3:30pm (eastern) - shipping to Sydney was $9.39.

    • Thanks matey! Long time lurker, glad I could contribute!

  • I have zero use for this but tx OP, I bought one hahaha.. i will find a use for it i the future.

  • Not sure what it is, looks like a screw driver? Bought it anway.

    • +1

It is not, its just a little grinder/cutter thingy for very small projects, a hobby tool.

      • Thanks

  • Thanks OP. Didn't need one but bought one lol

Went into Total Tools to get mine, they had about 10 on the counter waiting to be picked up

  • looks like OOS for online orders

  • Too late, OOS at all outlets in my local area. Have an Ozito one and used it for the first time last week to install a battery meter in my portable battery box. Really useful tool for delicate work.

    • Can't stop thinking about it so bought it delivered. The 217 piece accessory kit itself is worth the money.

  • +1

cant even checkout just get the spinning hammer.

    • Just in case its helpful in the future, I had that happening in Edge…. switched to Chrome and checkout worked straight away.

  • +2

I have a dremel but have used a generic one before. Works the same. However, in my limited experience, the consumables, eg. the cutting wheels, grinding wheels, sanding bands, etc., - spring for the good stuff. The no-name el cheapos last f!@#$ all and take forever to do anything. Waste of time and effort.

  • +1

Insane price, wish I hadn't paid $100 for my Dremel (barely use it so it's hard to justify it)

  • +1

Maybe I'm dumb and just missed the prompt - but beware that the website decided to store my payment details without my knowledge. Only noticed when I was playing around with the checkout after placing an order. Also not super simple to find where to delete them. Kinda dislike that.

Edit: I am dumb and missed the pre-ticked box. Zzz, will be more careful next time.

  • Out of stock for delivery and my 2 nearest local totaltools, maybe someone has any luck?

  • Just picked mine up, Thanks OP.

The store I picked up from had about 30 on the floor. The staff member told me that was just for today and a lot more were picked up yesterday.

    Ozbargained haha.

  • Quick what's a project I can do to justify this purchase?

    • +2

Heaps of them in stock at Kilsyth Vic even though the website indicated they're out of stock. Cancelling my online order now.

  • Thanks OP! Not in stock locally but $10 shipping isn't a big deal, especially on such a great price. Rotary tools are incredibly useful.

  • Just collected one from Springwood. They had about 40 of them on a trolley packed for shipping it seems and one on the bench with the ozbargained extension cord deal strapped to it, clearly someone from here lol

    • I just got back from Springwood too. They sold 50 faster than they could put them on said trolley lols

  • Only Biggera Waters on the North part of the Gold Coast has any, that's too far to do a collect.

  • Does anyone know if it ok to return unopened items ordered online to a physical shop or does the return need to be posted back to original place?

    • You can return it to me, happy to pick up if you are in Sydney Metro :)

        nah no cockroaches

First order for delivery cancelled with just the rotary tool, placed second order with extension lead at another store…both items cancelled this time around

  • +2

Order canceled without any notification! Sucks…

    • +1

called them and was told it is not canceled but just on backorder. it is confusing because the status of order tracking is CANCELED. So now can only wait n see.

    • Same here.

    • They obviously couldn't get one for you, they flew of the shelves too quick.

  • expired deal?
